Even though I am from Norway, where the legal system is different, I could wish for people who have to go through a legal case, to have experienced such a fair and kind-hearted judgment here at home too. You are a wonderful person and an extremely skilled judge David Fleischer. Keep it up, love from Norway 😊

@@KimmieSue. the problem is that they don't have the required evidence chain to back up the witness statements/admissions. he doesn't give passes to anyone. there is another video where the lawyer is asking for *less* bond and once he looks at the history he *increases* the bond by 33% and adds a monitoring device because the defendant doesnt follow court orders and is obvious a danger to everybody.

    • @julianokleby1448

@@artlessknave He gives passes to (almost) everyone! He admonishes them but tells them "This is the ONLY free pass you're getting" or "You will never get another free pass", but even though he has cause to hold them (such as being here illegally with no papers), most of them go free to be caught another day. Seems like he walks softly but carries a big stick. I always enjoy listening to him and get a laugh out of his "DO NOT DRIVE" speeches: Even if Jesus needed a ride to church, Mother Theresa was hitchhiking and asked you for a ride, the other day I heard him getting Disney characters into his do not drive speeches! Too funny!

Some states like Pennsylvania give truck drivers nuisance tickets all the time. We were on a road where there was construction quite a distance up the road so we were locked in about how fast we could go. A police flagged us down and gave my husband a ticket for going three miles over. My husband said that's very common in Pennsylvania. These tiny tickets that don't affect points you just put your payment in the mail box and your done with it until the next time you have to go back there

One I used to be an alcoholic and I got into a lot of trouble with it just like this gentleman. Two if the judge or anyone in that courtroom keeps hounding him that device was tampered with, but it still tested positive for alcohol in the device does not lie he would’ve broke down and said OK I did do it, but he did not he stuck to his guns and said I have been sober for 51 days and that’s including today. CDL stands for Commercial Driver's License. It's a license primarily for truckers, bus drivers, and people like that.

Because these are pretrial hearings and they are determining probable cause. This is primarily for the judge to hear the arresting officer report to ensure probable cause was met to validate the arrest in the first place. If not he tosses the case. This really isn't the place for witness exam and cross exam. That will happen at trial

Why does this judge hate pot so Danm much? He seems reasonable and like a great judge overall but the way he seems to have some personal hatred or really negative opinions on pot. It’s a plant. Like he was telling a lady on here she couldn’t use it for medical reasons even with a prescription from her doctor, he told her to work days instead of nights to help her sleep and to take strong meds she didn’t feel comfortable working on instead and refused to even listen to her side. But he don’t seem to care about alcoholism or other cleptomaniacs. Hell he gave one dude 12 pr bonds and he had not came back in voluntarily on any.

23:49 So he knows some of the Mexicans that come into this courtroom aren’t legal and this is how caring he is. He does not tell on them. This is awesome. He lets them tell on their selves. He’s not a rat. This is what I love about this judge. I like the fact that he doesn’t turn them in. They get to stay if they don’t go to jail and nine out of 10 times he doesn’t send them to jail.

Nope depending on most crimes they will be treated as an adult since they will turn 18 shortly. So your friend might be screwed. Seek trouble in your town and then it becomes trouble when you need a job , an apartment and more.
