Even though I am from Norway, where the legal system is different, I could wish for people who have to go through a legal case, to have experienced such a fair and kind-hearted judgment here at home too. You are a wonderful person and an extremely skilled judge David Fleischer. Keep it up, love from Norway 😊
Hmm I disagree. She admitted to drinking and driving, her wife said she was the last person to drive, the cops go to her house pretty immediately after the accident. She's clearly guilty. I love this job by the way. I think she got a pass from him bc she has a wife.
@@KimmieSue. the problem is that they don't have the required evidence chain to back up the witness statements/admissions. he doesn't give passes to anyone. there is another video where the lawyer is asking for *less* bond and once he looks at the history he *increases* the bond by 33% and adds a monitoring device because the defendant doesnt follow court orders and is obvious a danger to everybody.
@@artlessknave He gives passes to (almost) everyone! He admonishes them but tells them "This is the ONLY free pass you're getting" or "You will never get another free pass", but even though he has cause to hold them (such as being here illegally with no papers), most of them go free to be caught another day. Seems like he walks softly but carries a big stick. I always enjoy listening to him and get a laugh out of his "DO NOT DRIVE" speeches: Even if Jesus needed a ride to church, Mother Theresa was hitchhiking and asked you for a ride, the other day I heard him getting Disney characters into his do not drive speeches! Too funny!

That is the most fantastic statement I have heard from a judge in general. My problem is, CDL license holders are held to higher standards but not police officers who literally carry lethal and non lethal weapons, drive around all day some times at high speeds. Yet they don't get consistently drug tested. Our police officers need to be held to higher standards
Some states like Pennsylvania give truck drivers nuisance tickets all the time. We were on a road where there was construction quite a distance up the road so we were locked in about how fast we could go. A police flagged us down and gave my husband a ticket for going three miles over. My husband said that's very common in Pennsylvania. These tiny tickets that don't affect points you just put your payment in the mail box and your done with it until the next time you have to go back there
Over & over we see reports of officers receiving lighter sentences or even having cases dropped when a non-officer citizen would have had the hammer dropped on them.
I appreciate that this judge pays/waives the fines and fees for many people; he just wants to keep citizens safe and people that need drug treatment get help

Why does this judge hate pot so Danm much? He seems reasonable and like a great judge overall but the way he seems to have some personal hatred or really negative opinions on pot. It’s a plant. Like he was telling a lady on here she couldn’t use it for medical reasons even with a prescription from her doctor, he told her to work days instead of nights to help her sleep and to take strong meds she didn’t feel comfortable working on instead and refused to even listen to her side. But he don’t seem to care about alcoholism or other cleptomaniacs. Hell he gave one dude 12 pr bonds and he had not came back in voluntarily on any.
23:49 So he knows some of the Mexicans that come into this courtroom aren’t legal and this is how caring he is. He does not tell on them. This is awesome. He lets them tell on their selves. He’s not a rat. This is what I love about this judge. I like the fact that he doesn’t turn them in. They get to stay if they don’t go to jail and nine out of 10 times he doesn’t send them to jail.
Is this drug Court?
..... December second....ish.....". That " ish " is my word .... I've been saying it since 2004..... I want ROYALTIES....!!!😊❤
The word 'ish' has been used in Philadelphia for decades now, just like the word 'jawn'. I want money, too, lol. Take care 🙂
If he's 17, shouldn't he be blurred and anonymous? Asking for a friend
Nope depending on most crimes they will be treated as an adult since they will turn 18 shortly. So your friend might be screwed. Seek trouble in your town and then it becomes trouble when you need a job , an apartment and more.
17 =adult in tx
He is an adult in Texas
