    First of all, this is my first comment in RUclips since I singed in. And this is To show how big a deal this is for me. Second, Thanks for doing halal Ramen Videos; since it’s so hard to find a halal Ramen recipes or videos on the Internet not just on RUclips. Especially I can’t find a restaurant that does a tasty ramen in the middle east. So plz keep doing more recipes and I guarantee you will be a unique Channel. Thanks a lot again and sorry for the long comment .

    Why would soy sauce not be halal? It has no animal parts or alcohol so I think that should be fine for them to eat right?

    • @RAMENKAONASHI
      @RAMENKAONASHI  3 года назад +2

      The soy sauce that is commonly sold contains trace amounts of alcohol.
      If there is no indication on the ingredient list, it is OK.

    I was wondering,
    Katsuoboshi is very expensive here, can I just make tare by mixing fish sauce with good quality soy sauce ?
    Or is Niboshi (wether dried sardines or anchovies ) a better alternative and a lot cheaper than bonito flakes ?!
    Also I can never find mirin , not even halal one, but we do have rice vinegar ? Is it a good alternative to mirin?

    • @Ario26
      @Ario26 3 года назад +1

      I think you can try to use instant dashi to replace katsuoboshi. One teaspoon per 400ml. And you can skip mirin because it will not affect the taste very much..

      I am from Spain and there aren't a lot of muslims here, specially in the north, so I was in my late twenties when I found out what halal was. It was when I went to live to France for a while, as in the area where I lived there were a lot of muslims and the supermarket was full of "halal" things. I had to Google what it was. I was really surprised to see that halal food was cheaper (as usually special things as gluten free, or ecological, or whatever are more expensive) so I ate halal food for months.
      Finding out about this kind of ramen was a great surprise too, as even though I love the original ones and see chef kanoashi's magic, it seems easier than the average we see around here, so it may be easier to give it a try!!
