I was there it was my favorite couple of hours of an amazing Jazz fest! Go if you haven’t. I had no idea Molly Was going to be in the band!!! Melted my mind ,I’m a bluegrass boy from way back!

Her acoustic guitar flat picking is pretty damn incredible too. 1st and only female to win Bluegrass Association guitar player of the year.
@@danielmorris3687 Exactly, she won vocalist of the year after that. I've seen Molly with her band Golden Highway twice. I watched this stream, and my initial reaction was, this is fun, but she's an absolute jaw-dropping virtuoso, and that gets lost in this band. Still feel that way. Her vocals and playing on Sunflower Vol. 6 give a glimpse of what could be if she ever decided to go jam-band Molly. She can do anything she wants, there is no one better at what she has chosen to do. There is no better touring bluegrass band than Golden Highway right now.
@David Barry I hear what you're saying. I was a bit surprised to see she was guesting with BATK since I've never seen her playing this style of improvised music before. Even when she has played with Billy Strings they never strayed far from more traditional grass. It's still cool BK respected her talent enough to invite her and she was confident enough to do it
She’s made no secret of her love for “Standing On the Moon” - her album cut and any live performance of the song is proof positive! IMNSHO😊. Playing with BK &co. is pure delight to this ol’ space cadet (semi-ret. 😉). What I wouldn’t give to be on that stage with my trusty jazz bass (had it 51 yrs and still kickin it!). It starts with a dream……….😏
