Tracey what is you card size.
I made one and the 5 pieces fit perfectly on an A2 card which is 5.5" x 4.25" (half of an 8.5 x 11 piece of cardstock folded in half).
I didn't wait to make it and something is not right = the five pieces do not fit on a 5 1/4" wide piece, they would need 5 1/2" and I put them very tightly together! Is it possible one of the measurements you give is incorrect?
I've made the card 4 times so far with the same measurements and it works fine each time.
My card was 4.25 x 5.5 inches and the 5 pieces fit perfectly. It wasn't 5.25 inches.
