@Brother Kotello "The dog stays." "What!? No, she's not getting involved, you degenerate, I just don't want her wandering off and eating the hog roast the tavern keeper's preparing for tonight. Again."
You know, there are many things I have done in rpg's. Attempting to butcher a massive bombard with the claws of unholy abominations and the teeth of blood hounds is not one of them. Edit: I like how easily we can _observe_ your frustrations as you attempt to fit this loot into your inventory.
I would have gone with the following setup. Basically, the idea is that you pain-train through everything. Occultist/Houndmaster/Abomination/Bounty Hunter Abilities. Occultist: Wyrd Reconstruction/Weakening Curse/Abyssal Artillery/Daemon's Pull Houndmaster: Hound's Rush/Target Whistle/Cry Havoc/Lick Wounds Abomination: Beast mode for Giants, Shamblers, Collectors, and the Pounder, Human mode for everything else. Bounty Hunter: Collect Bounty/Mark for Death/Finish Him/Uppercut Trinkets: Occultist: Junia's Head/Cursed Incense Houndmaster: Spiked Collar/Man Slayer's Ring Abomination: Lock of Fury/Legendary Bracer Bounty Hunter: Wounding Helmet/Dismas' Head Camping skills: Occultist: Unspeakable Commune/Dark Ritual/Dark Strength/Encourage Houndmaster: Hound's Watch/Therapy Dog/Release the Hound/Encourage Abomination: Psych Up/Anger Management/The Quickening/Pep Talk Bounty Hunter: This Is How We Do It/Planned Takedown/Tracking/Wound Care Strategy: Camp just before fight. Use Psych Up, This Is How We Do It, Dark Strength on any party member, and Unspeakable Commune. Alternatively, if stress is high, use Therapy Dog, The Quickening, This Is How We Do It, Tracking, and Unspeakable Commune. Once you reach the Cannon, transform Abomination into Beast mode. Use the Houndmaster's Dog Treats. As always, kill the Matchman first. Once the Matchman is dead, kill all the other Brigands. Once the Brigands are dead, the Cannon will only spawn 1 or 2 more; A Matchman and one other. Always have the Houndmaster, Bounty Hunter, or Abomination on hand to kill the Matchman and the other Brigand. If Bloodletter is spawned, Stun it with Flashbangs and kill it with Abomination while Houndmaster and Occultist kill the Matchman. Mark the Cannon with Houndmaster or Bounty Hunter to hit for big damage. If a Brigand spawns in front of the Cannon, use Rake to deal damage to the Brigand and the Cannon and buff the Abomination's damage. Use Weakening Curse on the Brigand Cutthroat and Fuselier to mitigate damage, use Daemon's Pull and Abyssal Artillery to clean up in case the front 3 don't kill it. Heal when necessary with Occultist. When the Cannon is on low HP, Stun the Matchman and focus the Cannon down.
Or you just bring a healer 2 ranged guys that can deal high damage to farther ranks and one high position one damage dealer and have the ranged guys focus the matchman and then have your position one focus cannon? Your looking waaaay too into it man. This boss is honestly meant to be cheesed. Like it's only hard if you have no fucking clue what your going into and you didn't bring any ranged hero's
