Though he was “The King of Kings,” in Iran, his inner life was anything but exquisite. From the bitter tragedies of his marriages to the utter disaster of his reign, Mohammad Reza has a dark history.

Great documentary indeed. I saw in this channel the Video dedicated to "Soraya" which I found very well-crafted. Keep on posting and congratulations on your success 👍

And they never had children that was her problem that's why he had to divorce and marry to have children so he could have an heir But I believe they both deeply loved each other that's why at the end of his life he wanted to see her and she too but it never happened Sometimes sometimes you know don't get what you want

I think it should be pretty obvious that the people are a different matter to the regime. Do you support the abuse and oppression of women?

Shame to see what’s happened to Iran after the Shah was deposed. Tehran has only gotten worse

You do realise that during his reign, he tortured and murdered his people, he was as much an evil dictator as all the rest of dictators were. The first democratically socialist government elected in Iran nationalised Iranian oil. Britian was the major shareholder, so of course, regime change was made. It was the Shah propped up by America that led to the current regime in Iran. Also, do not take everything the Western government and media say about Iran as gospel. Unless you're living under a rock, you can see the duplicitous nature of them now. I'm not saying that Irans government has no flaws, it certainly does, but the blame of the current situation rests solely on that regime change made by the West

You skipped over how he was put in place, like when US involved in a coup, 1953, over turned a Democratically elected president then the Shah was put in as leader as a puppet for US, UK!

This is not true. His predecessor was not elected. He was installed. The Shah is beloved by his people even in death. Iran is a far worse place under the rule of the Islamic State.

@@RachelLWolfe oh but he was, he wanted to keep the oil for the people of Iran instead of letting UK, BP oil company basically steal it! That is why they need the Shah, their puppet to keep the $ rolling to US and UK

The only person in his family who truly served iran was Farah Diba (his last wife). She was a humble & loyal servant of the country.....at least more humble & loyal than all the rest of their family members.
