Looks like a CW teen drama with zombies....people liked Walking Dead(pre-Carl Grimes) because of the fragility the characters and dark tone of the world
Take out the zombies and you basically have The 100, which has been an awesome series

I don't get why people are asking that this TV show is a prologue to the Rick movies.
Since it's going to build up and better explain the people that took Rick, (the only info we got was from Jadis and it wasn't much but the A and B thing).

first, this looks awful.
I think one of the best things about the walking dead is that the cinematography doesn’t feel too professional (even though it is) The camera angles aren’t too fancy and the screen is always a bit grainy, and I think there is a reason for that, being that they wanted it to look a little like how it would look if somebody made television in the apocalypse.. and by looking at this trailer it seems they are making it look like a brand new blockbuster/ modern Netflix show or something which gives me a few worries but hopefully it won’t be too bad

If this ever did happen, in the communties re-building you'd see a lot of nurseries. The bad guys here are a bunch of white guys lead by some middle-aged Karen who talks like Dale Dye. Of course, lots of feelies. The reason two seaons, they know it's going to tank and hoping for the best so they can CYA, it's a save bet for woke. Boring.

I like FTWD but this looks horrible
Both shows suffer with the same issue of killing all the original cast off pretty much changing the show from how it set out and the overall feel of them. The reasons the shows work at first is people grow to like the original cast and their struggles not the two dimensional characters the start developing just before they are killed off and expect people to care and keep watching for that sequence to repeat.
The last thing people want to watch are hormonal teenagers going through a zombie apocalypes
Yet everyone acts like Carl was the best character on the main show
