I bought the same ones about a yr. ago. I got them chrome. The only issue is my chrome caps went a little faded to greenish. Overall the lights still work perfectly fine
Cool. Boost auto, love their stuff, bur not for $350 plus!! maybe get this type or similar. Will use those clearance lights for back up lights though, or maybe wire in with a switch to use as backup lights too.
Great video I think the hardest part for me on the install was putting the door hinge grommets back on the plastic piece lol… I was wondering if there was a way to wire the amber blinker to the parking lights so they stay on and not just blink with the red turn signals on the mirror …
@@jeffreyhorning7447 but the red led on the mirrors would stay on also correct? I saw a video that @customoffsets did and they pulled the mirror off to rewrite the parking light and the turn signal (mirror)
So your lights you hooked up to your dome light should have been ran and fuse tapped to your reverse light, at all possible stay away from those wire clips you used, either way it was a good tutorial on how to install up to that point
There is absolutely no reason why those lights “should have” been hooked up to the reverse lights. Boost Auto Parts has a kit and tutorial on how to do that, which is the only reason why most people do it that way. Even boost auto states themselves that this is not a requirement. They’re made to connect however you want to connect them. Even the factory OEM mirrors with these lights on the newer trucks are NOT connected to the reverse lights. They are connected to a button on the dash. And as far as the wire connectors I used, if you actually know what you’re doing then they will work fine. Of course soldering or using positaps may be better but for these little wires in such a tight space, these are definitely the best option and keep you from cutting your factory wiring.
How easy was it to wire the turns up? I’m wanting a set but can’t afford boost auto so eBay is my next best option. Can I tap into the turn signal fuse for rash side?
The turn signals are plug and play if you originally had turn signal lights on your oem mirrors. If not then I’m not sure, I didn’t have to worry about that
I really liked them. I no longer have the truck, I have an F150 now. But I think they looked great and the tow mirrors were great for towing and just overall visibility. The only con is over 70 they did vibrate some but it wasn’t anything horrible. You could still see perfectly fine
I use the little dial on your dash that controls the brightness of your dash lights. If you turn it all the way up and then push up some more it will turn on your dome lights, including your mirror lights. That’s just how I’ve been turning the lights on when i need them without having to open a door
Looking back now, I believe they purposefully made the foam pieces big on purpose so you can cut it to size to get a good fit. As far as the quality of the mirrors go, I thought they were great. Very solid and heavy and I never had any issues with them while I owned the truck. I have nothing negative to say about them and would recommend them to anyone. Thanks for watching!
Nice video but you shouldn't have drilled a hole through that panel you could have dropped the glove box it's a little lever in there and you can ran all your wires through there and behind the dash
@@martinlandaverde403 on the door panel there is a light that turns on when you open the door I just connect it to that and the led Bright light turns on when I open door
I disagree, I’ve had these mirrors for almost 6 months and so far they have been absolutely amazing. Zero problems or complaints whatsoever and very happy with the quality.
@@SethLee well for my 03 avalanche they didn't work at all. The shaking was incredible with the vehicle in park and the mirrors do not adjust enough to see the rear of the vehicle. Maybe I received a bad pair but they seemed poorly manufactured. Glad yours were better.
Thank you for making this video! It’s people like you who help people get these installs done without taking it to a shop. Y’all the real MVP.

bro this was the clearest install yet thanks a ton man! cant wait to order mine
Glad it helped! Thanks for watching 👍
Hey man thanks for such a detailed tutorial on how to put the tow mirrors in I really appreciate that great job
Thank you! 🙏
You do know that those mirrors extend out even more that where you have them at? If you pull outwards you get another 5 inches I believe. Great video

GreasemonkeyTV Peek Awesome man, I love mine! Thanks for watching👍🏻
Great video. I’m fixing to install a set on my 05 gmc . 👍🏻

Great video I’m gonna install my soon
Thanks, good luck with the install!
I plan on getting some for my duramax but I think it would be more convenient to wire them to the bed light.
Same
I'm also going to try and wire them cleaner then splice connectors
boost auto parts is the way to go

Every figure anything out on this ?
@@AcidicSpartan78 I would have to pull the mirror apart but your video was very helpful
You have to tap it into the fuse box under the hood in order to get it to use the parking light

Wouldn’t that be better if the were connected to your reverse lights so it would trigger when backing up ?
You can wire them up to the reverse lights if you’d like, a lot of people go that route
Because if you ever need to drop that pan that's where your blower motor is for your heat and your AC and that's going to be a problem
I’ve heard about people wiring the cargo lights into the reverse lights
So your lights you hooked up to your dome light should have been ran and fuse tapped to your reverse light, at all possible stay away from those wire clips you used, either way it was a good tutorial on how to install up to that point

Looks great 👍
Do the ambers on the front side light up with the running lights on?
Nice vid.... mirrors still holding up well?
What wire harness did you use for the cargo light? Great step by step man this helped a lot
Do the turn signals work automatically or do you have to wire them in
How easy was it to wire the turns up? I’m wanting a set but can’t afford boost auto so eBay is my next best option. Can I tap into the turn signal fuse for rash side?
The turn signals are plug and play if you originally had turn signal lights on your oem mirrors. If not then I’m not sure, I didn’t have to worry about that
Are the led boards on back replaceable? My passenger side turn quit working
Yes, you can find them on Amazon but I would recommend checking out Boost Auto Parts
I'm guessing these didnt come with the puddle light?
I just got the same ones, and my passenger side mirror won’t adjust far enough to be in the right spot
How do you life them after about a year and a half? Pros? Cons?
I really liked them. I no longer have the truck, I have an F150 now. But I think they looked great and the tow mirrors were great for towing and just overall visibility.

Is there a way to wire them for reverse light and when ever the dome light is on ?
Nice! Installed mine but I want to hook mine up to the reverse lights
Is there a way to adjust the center position of these mirrors, I have them and the pass side mirrors do not come in far enough to see?
Not that I know of, I personally don’t have that problem with mine. However, I have heard of other people with the same problem.
Did u find a solution I just got mine and I have this issue on passenger side
Having the same issue, the mirror on passenger side sits too far out and can’t see enough of the side of the truck
Possibly manually push the glass past to where you need it and then try again with power.
After 2 years how have the mirrors held up?
Did you use extra washers to level your mirrors? I seen a lot reviews that said about how unlevel those mirror fit, Good job 👌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻
Thanks! I’ve been wanting to level them, I just haven’t gotten around to doing it yet.
Those are back up lights I thought?
Where'd you get those headlights taillights and window vents?
All of it was from eBay!
Looking to buy some, how have they done so far being that low price?
How does the mirror defrost work? how did you wire it ?
It plugs into the factory wiring. It’s plug and play. If your factory mirrors do not have defrost then they will not work.
Do the lights come on in reverse?
If you wire them up that way then yes they will.
Do single light light it with park lights
hello. the mirrors are still electrically folding ?
No, unfortunately they lose the folding function
Do they work as day time running lights also?
Not straight out of the box, you can order a harness from Boost auto parts that allows them to work as daytime running lights
Do you know the part number for the wiring harness and does work with the ebay tow mirrors
How do you get the cargo lights to stay on after you shut the door when you connected it to the dome lights?
I use the little dial on your dash that controls the brightness of your dash lights. If you turn it all the way up and then push up some more it will turn on your dome lights, including your mirror lights. That’s just how I’ve been turning the lights on when i need them without having to open a door

Bro😭 Thank you so Much 🙏
Will the harness be the same on an 02?
You guys think these will fit on a 02 avalanche ? 🤔🤔
Couldn't you just run one of the power in a fuse
Can I order the switchback turn signals for them separately from boost auto
Yes
@@SethLee and they will fit my ebay ones ?

While I’m buying these tow mirrors I better order a 10 mill socket while I’m at it
hey man how are the tow mirrors working? do they shake when driving on the highway 1 year later?
Nice video but you shouldn't have drilled a hole through that panel you could have dropped the glove box it's a little lever in there and you can ran all your wires through there and behind the dash
Instead of running the wires to dome light you could of just ran it to the lights on the door panel
