    Duca, if Roberta starts glowing any more brightly, you'll need a welding helmet to look at her.

    When they weld the first is called the root pass and then you have a second which is called a hot pass then you have a third which is called a filler pass and then the 4th is called the cap pass
    Your boat is going to be very strong
    Good for you guys you know the product you're getting🎉

    I did not read all the comments but I want you know that the artist that is welding your boat together may have many secrets to how he does his work that he does not wish to share with the world. Please do not be sad, he is just keeping his secrets to himself for now. Love you both and have not missed a weekend update with you since you started Odd. I have also gone back to see all your container house project and really enjoyed that too! Keep up the good work!

      To be honest that is not the problem at all. He is just showing to the yard that he is necessary and can do what ever he wants. It is a much bigger problem then just our boat. The boat yard been trying to find welders but is having a hard time. We are not the only ones not satisfied with him. 🥹

    😎👍🏼 Im looking forward to seeing your propulsion plans .. Barefoot doctor's did a look over the Windelo hybrid system .. more boats are going down the hybrid system using inboard motors or sealed pod drives.. so no big holes in the bottom of the boat for sail drives...and virtually no maintainance.
    Theirs a Norwegian guy with a 63ft steel motor yatch he lives on all year round and his generator running to power his motors only burns 0.5L per hour.. if you want to know more i will tell you where to find the information. 😉🌌🧙🏼‍♂️🇬🇧

    How exciting! Are you going to leave the hull raw, or clear coat, or color coated? If you are going to have exposed aluminum, what if you had a "turned" pattern, created by repeated circular metal brush heads in a geometric overlapping pattern, much like what was popular on American muscle-car dashboards in the 60's.
    I think my dear wife was at her most beautiful when she was pregnant (with each of our six children!) -- somehow she glowed with beauty -- and allow me to say that Roberta is showing that same glowing beauty. Duca, you are a very, very lucky man!
    And if you color-coat the hull, don't you think that Odd Life Orange would be appropriate again?
    Oh, I see some other comments noting the lovely glow of Roberta.

    META est très gentil, et tolérent, car ils n'aiment pas du tout, que quelqu'un de l'extérieur, vienne souder à leur place...il en va de la réputation mondiale qu'ils ont pour la fabrication de leurs bateaux certifiés ISO 9002.. en soudant toi même le bateau n'est plus certifé, et non garanti...

    • @OddLifeCrafting
      @OddLifeCrafting  4 месяца назад

      En fait, Meta a beaucoup changé, je ne sais pas comment c'était avec l'ancien propriétaire, mais le nouveau propriétaire qui a acheté Meta il y a 3 ans comprend qu'Internet et les vidéos RUclips peuvent apporter de bons résultats au chantier naval et est très intéressé à ce que nous filmions le processus. Et pour être tout à fait honnête, réaliser deux points de soudure sous la surveillance du soudeur ne change rien à la qualité du bateau. Ce point sert uniquement à maintenir la feuille en place, car il y aura quelques couches supplémentaires de soudure sur le dessus. C'est un autre moment symbolique du début des travaux. Gros câlin.

    I don’t know why you guys are buying a new boat. You said you want to go on new adventures.
    Sail the world but you didn’t with Odd ! So why would you with a new boat. You spent a long time fixing Odd and was supposed to sail her all over. I doubt you will leave your home country just because you buying a new boat!
    I mean why buy a new boat to do what you were going to do with Odd. I stopped watching because you did not do any sailing on Odd, I watch very few of your videos now.

    • @OddLifeCrafting
      @OddLifeCrafting  5 месяцев назад

      Here are the reasons why we sold. Manly because we are 40 and we wanted to have a kid and we wanted to have the time to do the treatment in Europe. We sailed Odd for 2 years and we did more than 7 thousand nautical miles just on the Brazilian coast, then 2k nautical miles (13 days) to the Caribbean and 6 months sailing on the Caribbean. We gained a lot of experience. ruclips.net/video/CRaeB4yh6fg/видео.htmlsi=_MyLA4CRIoVDkFNN

    • @robbyoliver4953
      @robbyoliver4953 5 месяцев назад

      Maybe I missed a lot of videos, because I only seen you around Brazil.
      I may have mossed your sail to the Bahamas. I have watched your videos since you got Odd and did all the fixing up , refit and watched most videos of your sailing her. Or so I thought ! Most I seen you were at anchor.
      Missed most of sailing her I guess.
      Maybe my feed because I seem to have to do searches for my subscribed video graphers sometimes seems like RUclips wants to show me other videos a lot.
      And bury my subscriptions.
      If I miss one from any of my subscriptions they go to the bottom of my feed.
      In this device and my other devices I hadn’t seen any videos from you guys lately until this one. I am disgusted with you tube doing this. At almost 40 yrs old and starting a family now your wife needs to consult with her doctor first.
      After 40 yrs old she has a much higher chance of delivering a baby with many birth defects. Ask me how I know this!
      Experience bro. My wife and I waited to close to you age before we started.
      She wasn’t 40 yrs old with our last child but he is Down syndrome ! Doctor told us her age makes her high risk for this defect. But this is for your info, just need to be aware of the risk. White Caucasian woman are at high risk for birth defects after 40 yrs old. As per her doctor.

      @@OddLifeCrafting congratulations on the baby. Your life will change a lot for sure.
      My ex wife and I had problems with her getting pregnant she went thru all the fertility treatments and she stopped.
      Still wasn’t pregnant and several months of using herbs for her female hormones and other female things she finally got pregnant.
      We had 4 before she stopped, there was a company that had recommendations of what herbs for her to use that might increase her chances and they worked. She was over 35 when she started having children. Doctors couldn’t find a problem and suspected she may have not been producing eggs. She had rough minstrel cycles also the herbs stopped that and cured her of some problems with her uterus. If you would like the number to the company where she got the herbs I can give it to you. But I hope all the best with your pregnancy and a healthy baby.
      My ex was about 36 when she got pregnant first time and had 4 in 5 yrs. Yeah they very close together like 1 to 1-1/2 years apart. But since you guys may plan on living on a boat then yeah you may need a bigger boat.
      And once you do have a child it may fix your problem and who knows you guys may end up like us. With a house full.
