It felt odd that I had as much space as I did in the budget for this one. I think that whilst the front crafting area is fairly large there's not a vast amount of furniture on the ground level. It's mostly large single pieces.
Always liked this one Darth, coming back to it- I still do. I really like the idea of trying to recreate the sort of structure we’d see in the world but making a home out of it. If you’re ever stuck for ideas it would be great to see what revisiting an idea like this would result in with everything you’ve done since. 👍
Looking back I'm happy with how this one went. It could have been a tough one to do in a way that looked good but it seemed to work out pretty well. Reworking the kind of place you'd have found pre war could work for a number of different structures - if you can build the original thing convincingly. (Technically the new build does that too though it uses a prefab). I've got an idea or two in that vein that I might have to look at eventually.
Love this build. I’m more of a scrappy lore friendly builder but I’ve been wanting to try making a modern clean camp too. This allows the best of both! Great job!
Thank you! You've now got me trying to remember if I ever did a modern type build. 🤔 I think I might have. Once upon a time. 😂 Maybe I should give it a go again sometime.
I like the warehouse build. I built a hardware looking store near Vault 76 with cheap plans for newbies and a train station in the middle of nowhere that looked pretty good.
Great warehouse. The layout of the "warehouse" space came out fantastic. Especially like the loft area. I have lofts in my builds more often than not. I'm partial to lofts over bedrooms. Thanks for sharing.
I do like the design style of lofts. It was a fun thing to try out. I don't think I'd want to live in one though! I'm pretty happy with how this looks, but the limitations of the available stairs do make things like this a challenge to do on a way that wil look good sometimes.
I agree with living in a loft. The idea of them is great for building but not ideal in a real world living environment. Lol. I wish Bethesda would give us stairs that can connect on 1 side of a foundation instead of in the middle...and also half vertical walls. That would open up so many options.
Aspirational and inspirational build Sir Xion, I just finished my museum of Curio build the other day and it's ok, but it may become somewhat like this build in the near future lol...
Tough call that. I'd probably use railings of some kind rather than walls. Possibly some of the vault style stuff. It'd need to have a modern industrial vibe imo.
really nice camp Darth, loving the both packed in yet easy to traverse arrangement of the main floor. Hinting at an upstairs while making it plain its not a place to walk for visitors is sometimes tough, but filling the space was definitely needed. lookig at a lot of your builds today because mine just isnt coming together and i noticed that you havent done many crisp, lean orderly builds and i think thats where im going wrong. fighting the wasteland vibe because its an Enclave installation build where i should be embracing the desperation that the Enclave would be in in setting up a base in appalachia. maybe just putting some more clutter and saving the glowing lava doors for high security areas like my vault enterence. sorry, this got away from me a little. great build, i might steal that housing part for my Commanders private quarters. I am a General you know ;P
I do like the set dressing up top there. 😎 I get what you're struggling with though. It's much harder to make something clean look complete and natural for whatever reason. Clutter just seems to work. (Is that Marie Kondo I hear shrieking in the distance)? 😂
Great build, might be a bit late to ask questions but how does you come around with defenses for the attacks? I never seem to find a good way of placing defenses down regardless of build..
Most of the time I don't bother tbh. Your camp only gets attacked when a player is there as far as I can tell, so I save on the budget and shoot them myself! 😂 Otherwise if you know where they tend to spawn you can put turrets in place to cover those areas. Generators and crops are prime targets for attacking enemies too, so if in doubt cover those.
really awesome! question, the concrete wall on the front of the warehouse? was that in a bundle? haven't seen it in the atom shop before....or I missed it...
The ones by the entrance? Those are from the hunt for the treasure hunter event. I've been using them quite a bit lately. They add a nice bit of texture.
There's still a lot that I need! The best bet is to save up acps ahead of the event then buy the empty mid- tier pails to craft. You'll have a much better success rate that way.
Watching this video looking for ideas. Realising I visited this base (or a copy) just the other day. Had a full tour and it looked amazing inside in person
Incredible work as always, but I have a question. When you started to build the living area, you used the four glass half walls instead of two full glass walls. Do two half walls take up less budget that a single full wall?
I would imagine they take up a bit more but I've never checked. I like the half walls though because the full sized ones have a metal strip across the bottom which doesn't look great. The only time I tend to use the full sized ones is when I need them to match the door, in which case that metal bit is unavoidable.
I did a miner's bar in the ash heap once. Other than that no. I'd imagine you'd have to do something like a small village though. A few houses and a shop near a mineshaft. 🤔
If you mean the ones over the crafting area, they're called "Cage Bulb Lights". The actually drop from daily ops. One of the best lighting options in the game IMO.
@@DarthXionGames it's why i really am not a fan of the item. I don't know why they couldn't just release one that has 90 degree angles - especially knowing that that's how the bulk of building is done.
Unfortunately the set isn't available at the moment. The greenhouse set was a reward from Season 2 and hasn't reappeared since. There does look to be another set coming in the summer though. The style looks different, but they have a nice design.
I'm not sure tbh. I think it might have been a season reward a while ago or it could have been a Fallout 1st thing. I'd keep an eye on the Atomic Shop though, if it was a season reward it might make an appearance on there soon. A lot of older season rewards have done lately.
There's a few things you can do to make best use of the budget available, like not using turrets, and cutting down on crops and purifiers. We all have the same amount though.
I love this!!!! I just made a converted train station camp that I really like - I'm a fan of the converted typical game building --> a camp vibe!!
Me too. It works with the lore-friendly vibe for me. Given the choice it's gotta be easier for the character to repair something that's already there!
I really like the warehouse and loft that you created. It's a big space by 76 standard's. I'm impressed that you were able to stay under budget.
It felt odd that I had as much space as I did in the budget for this one. I think that whilst the front crafting area is fairly large there's not a vast amount of furniture on the ground level. It's mostly large single pieces.

Not a bad build looks really good.
WOW! SO GREAT! Knocked it out of the park. I have wanted to build in the Ash Heap for a while and this is a very inspiring build. Kudos.
Thanks! Glad you liked it! ☺️

Same. I would love that. Stairs are so limiting at the moment. It's pretty frustrating.
this is exactly what I was looking for. had to find a new location as i couldnt get the game to actually allow me to build in that location
I really like the use of the hanging lights
They do draw the eye in. ☺️ They take the edge off the industrial look which I like too.
Great build, I love the mix of building materials used they blend really well.

Simply amazing work
Great build darth 👌
Fantastic job m8, one of your best builds. Looks like it belongs in the game. Super jealous of your glass doors!
Thanks! ☺️ I was unconvinced about it for a while there. It came together well though.
Wow that looks awesome and it fits in so well with the surrounding area, great job.
Thanks! ☺️
Looks great!
Love this, like many others I don't have the greenhouse walls are there any other sets you think would look good In there?

I love it. Your buildings are so great. Thanks for this one🤩
Nailed it! Looks great.
WOW! Great Build Darth!
Thank you! ☺️
One of my favs you’ve done 👍🏻😃
awesome job
so cool as always darth, bethesda should hire you to make and decorate locations in their games
It's be worth it to get my hands on all the extra junk stuff the Devs have! I'd throw so many atoms at packs of boxes and barrels an the like!
Great build, Darth! I always enjoy these cause I can pick up cool decorating ideas.
It makes all the difference! ☺️
I followed this build frame step for step but I can't for the life of me get the front left support pillar to snap in on the roof ☠️
Amazing build... well done 😎👍
That's what I hate about building in 76...
Big camp... little deco -- or -- Small camp... lots of deco
nice camp
Love this one! As usual very inspirational. :)
Thanks! ☺️

I building inside existing warehouse so need defend only 2 small windows

you couldve put a garage door for the front part

Is there any other way to do the floating roof trick without those atom shop items?
There's a fairly simple way to create floating roofs. I demonstrated it in this video - ruclips.net/video/qoTXuDYrJyU/видео.htmlsi=qbsL2q6HzHOXZvws
@@DarthXionGames Thank you!
Did you find it frustrating trying to place the clean shower perpendicular to the walls?
Lol. Yeah. It tended to jump around a bit. 😂

No worries! ☺️
A year later and still easy, customizable, and looks good thanks a lot
Does the floating roof techs till work
It does. ☺️
may i ask how did you get that wallpaper? was it in the atomic shop?

alright thanks appreciate it and awesome build!
No problem!
I would be over budget building something 1/4 the size of this

O look greenhouse walls! Not watching. Jealous
does it matter where you build it?
Not really so long as you have the space. It's a fairly large floorplan.
