Idk how you can speak on those first two games and not mention the refs. Our guys made some stupid fouls but for the most part they lost to the guys in white and black who had it out for us from the tip. We win those first two and we aren't coming into the Dayton game completely deflated. I hope we never go back to Maui after the way they treated us out there. All that said... We found lots of things we needed to work out with a very young team and Dan has got something to motivate the kids outside of the threepeat
Huskies were two possessions away from a 2 and 1 record in the tournament. So there is a possibility they can turn it around. Gonna need to junk up the defense. That said, they have been at it for 6 months. This year's ceiling might be the top 4 in a weak Big East.
Johnson has no business starting. Diarra is simply too reckless at times to be the starting pg hes far better and more effective as an energy guy off the bench. Karaban is not "the guy" material. Hes at his best as a 2nd or 3rd option. Solo Ball needs to be more assertive offensively as he should and is totally capable of putting up 20 points a night. The big problem is the defense. Its just horrendous. I have no doubt itll get fixed eventually. Too good a coaching staff and far too much talent on the court.
I agree with your comment. I'd like to see Nowell starting at PG and obviously Reed at 5. Hassan and Aidan can start games that don't require as much size. I like the point you make about AK, he is not a natural leader and that is ok. I'd like to see him continue to refine his pure ball skills. I think Reed, Liam and Solo can be leaders. Lian is a natural leader regardless of age.
Can anyone honestly watch the tape of those games and say they were officiated fairly and evenly? By the 3rd game UConn was playing scared to get called for fouls. It was really horrendous officiating and God forbid anyone says it. Amazing that one team can be commended for "playing physical" and the other team can't come close to matching the physicality without getting called every time.
Time and Talent. UConn has the time and I believe it has the talent. We will know in the next 7 weeks.
I've always loved Seth
thank you Seth
just get in the dance baby
still surprised Dan when w a shorter backcourt after the last 2 yrs with big tall imposing guards...
Your right coach…it’s November. They blew January in 2023 and won it all.

Seth lost all my respect... Watching him on ESPN nothing of substance just throwing UConn and Hurley under the bus... And here captain obvious. 🤮
