I think they saved the season only if UConn wins the next two games (Texas/Gonzaga) and does well in the Big East. If they pull a Maui in those two games, the Baylor game won’t mean much and they’re back to what it was like after Dayton. That said, a win over a ranked team without Karaban is definitely a big boost. Hopefully it will help down the road
Liam McNeeley did it ALL. He was the key to the game IMO. Yup Aiden made some big 3's when we were down big. Yup the best game Slamson has had as a Husky.
I’m sure I’m in the minority. But I didn’t think they played particularly well last night. I’m obviously glad they won. But, still saw plenty that worried me. I’ll feel better if they go down and beat Texas this weekend.
You’re not in the minority. They just don’t have a clue at times. If it wasn’t for the refs, they would’ve lost this game. So many stupid decisions and mistakes on passes. Johnson still fouled out on silly fouls. You notice that McNeeley can’t jump, Solo has no clue on defense, absolutely no clue.??????
So the refs are on our side now? Glenn respectfully wtf are you talking about. And @JBeck not sure if you watched the whole show.. I said our on ball defense was rough.. we won in part because Baylor didn’t have VJ and lost their best player in Roach got a concussion… so imma Homer but I’m fair.
It would really help to alleviate the slow start problem. Even in the early games this season the guys would be down four, six points before waking up.
Liam reminds me of Adam Morrison. I think he`ll be a better player at the next level and wont be anywhere near the explosive player in college this season but the game is similar and i think Liam is a better rebounder and 3pt shooter.
UConn is a outlier in most data points that have happened. They’re comin for people later this season. Still a high ceiling on this roster. Hurley’s got that chip on his shoulder to win atleast a few games in March and prove people wrong after they counted him out after Maui.
I honestly dont get Solo Ball. Heck, i dont get him or Jayden Ross. Both those guys have a higher ceiling of talent than 99% of the rest of the country. They should both be running circles around defenders on the court every single game and scoring at will. Both just seem to lack that "it" factor that makes guys elite. Is it in them? I dont know. If not its a shame because the talent level is elite.
Solo is way too athletic to be getting beat off the dribble the way he does, he needs to stay in from and move his feet more instead of trying to gamble all the time
YOU'RE LOCKED ON UCONN !
Slamson knocking down his Free Throws for the most part, much more than last year.
I though Coach Hurl was gonna give the Referee a kiss at one point when he had his hands on the Ref's shoulders ! 😂
❤❤❤❤❤Bravo coach Hurley & team for one super win and staying calme🎉🎉🎉🎉3 peat back ON if healthy ..Lets goooo..Iron sharpens iron?😂😂😂😂😂
Knocking Down Free Throws can be Critical.
Liam mcneely is a killer , reminds me so much of cam in the way he acts

We expect it from Liam.. freshman or not. It was unexpected by Aidan and Sam..
Thus the title
Liam McNeeley big impact too- 17 points , 3 blocks & he made his free throws
Big East Tournament starts in Mid-March , so Coach Hurl & his Staff have over 3 Months to further their development.
Also Mark- is there any word on if Karaban is cleared to play for Sunday game at Texas ?
Bet the Moneyline on those close games silly !

Don’t worry about Liam’s Jumping ability… seems like he’s going just fine.. such a weird criticism.. guy has 17 8 and 3 Blks..
@@LockedOnUConn yeah, I was just talking out loud. Didn’t mean to imply that you had rose colored glasses on.

U look like a Professor with your glasses !

I also heard that other guy says Dan needs to unlock reed .or that he will .so that means he's thinking that also ..
Mahaney pry not gonna Rebound & play " D " like Tristen Newton though.
I hope dan can get liam to stay another year with the new guys coming in and solo reed nowell ross Stewart..man they will drf win it all.
People need to stop comparing Mahaney to Newton and Cam and think of him of more of a better version of Joey California.
Nobody is comparing them apples to apples. And for one Dan is making a correlation that it didn’t come Easy to Tristen

I agree. They have definitely shown the ability to get better later in the season.
Look man I love Solo but he is one of the worst defenders ive seen in a long time
We said the same thing
