So I just received my scale endgame cap and I have a friend who got theirs in the first batch. We did a comparison and noticed that hot toys modified the 2nd batch. He's not as buff or bulky as the 1st batch. He feels lighter and a little more sleek. The reason I am mentioning this, I think hot toys wanted to make the scale cap and the 2012 cap bodies align better and more plausible from the movie stand point.

Massive upgrade. I hope to see they give this 2.0 for the original Avengers. On a side note WWII and Stealth suits could use an upgrade too.

I kinda hope we get his stealth suit redone with this newer looking body that we've gotten with this and the scale armour. And technically he did wear it in the beginning of endgame so maybe there's a chance

I love that shield too! and not everything needs to be diecast, does weigh down the arm when he's posed with it. That's interesting about the height difference, it doesn't bother me either. It is crazy this cap is taller than Thor, I need to check mine to see if he has extenders. Looking forward to getting this Cap. thanks Justin!

looking forward to getting this one. Finally starting to get the endgame shelf filled, mark 85 came yesterday and thor is coming next few weeks. soon my collection will be complete and I can wipe my hands of the mcu (for the most part) and concentrate on other lines. great review as always Justin, good stuff!

I'm really excited to get this version of Cap. I didn't pre order him because it's not my favorite version of his MCU suits but the detail on this figure are way better than expected soooo I'm sold on it now. Gotta add it to the collection. Great review as always Justin!

I only have Endgame Cap in my collection and had no interest whatsoever in the 2012 version. But after watching this review, I'm not gonna lie.....my interest has now grown. It's a really damn good looking figure and I do love Caps look from the original Avengers movie. I'm now definitely thinking about getting this version, if only to have the before and after look of Cap after all 3 phases of movies, similar to Iron Man with the Mark 1 and Mark 85 in my collection (currently waiting on the Diecast Mark 1 version). Keep up the good work Justin. I always look forward to all your videos and streams.

Ahh man thank you for this more in depth review! I collect Star Wars hot toys primarily but I might just get this guy as my one marvel figure to put on my desk. Was hoping the shield was metal but overall this looks like a fantastic release!

I love this Cap, because it's the closest to the comic book Cap from the 70s, that's why I ordered this one. I'm so happy the head sculpt is so much better with this one. He will be standing next to my Sideshow comic book Cap! I can't wait!

It’s a nice figure, with some really good improvements. Thought for sure I was gonna buy this and replace my AOU version but I still really love that figure..
That figure hasn’t aged well
I've never considered the 2012 cap suit a definite cap suit until now. This updated version completely throws away the 1.0, and the masked head really looks like Evans. I'd love it if the stealth suit and 2012 thor got a reissue like this. As always great review!

it´s kinda sad to think not to much people likes this suit, personally I like it a lot, the brilliant colors, his gloves and boots, I just like him, the other suits are good (and better of course) but I never like how every new suit was darker and darker until the Endgame one wich is more gray than blue XDXD, but well at least in my opinion, I like the 2012 suit for his colors, very good vid, hope you get the Infinite Ultron soon.

Thanks for another great review, Justin. Curious to know what you plan to do with your Avengers 1 Cap/display. Will you use the new version and sell off the old one?
My Avengers display has the original 6 and their End Game versions side by side. I’ve preordered the new 2012 Cap - which looks awesome - but the difference in scale is a concern when thinking is swapping the old for the new. Half tempted to put the new helmeted sculpt on the old version and put the new one in my Cap display with the unmasked sculpt.
Hmmm not sure. Maybe display the 1.0 in the 2012 display and keep the new one in the endgame display
I agree I would love to see them revisit Avengers 1 Avengers 2 and redo all of then into 2.0 versions

Mine should be arriving from TW today! I only started collecting 2 years ago so I didn't get a chance to the the original 2012 Cap but this one is a huge improvement. Great review Justin! I plan on displaying him with my Die Cast M7 and Avengers Hulk. Just waiting on the Endgame Loki to go along with them. That should complete my "original 2012 avengers" shelf.

Never got the original since I didn't have the funds, being a high school kid when the first avengers film hot toys dropped. So this one is a definite addition when the second batch drops on toyswonderland. Love the vid comparisons! Keep it up!

The week made me feel like I had to swim from the middle of the ocean during a rainstorm and all the way up shore just to watch this review. Thank you for sharing your experience with this figure. Looks great. I'm not a big Cap fan, but this would be my favorite. It looks closest to the classic comics. Still not sure if I want it, but it's wonderful.

This looks amazing! nice and vibrant. I think if i get this I'll do what posing with Peter did with his Mando, get rid of some of the fat suit but not all of it, so I can increase articulation but keep some of the form fitting look. Thanks for the review, now I went from not caring about this (this is my least favorite Cap look) to wanting it!

The OG 2012 Avengers Cap is so much smaller than the latest iteration, as if the Super Soldier Serum has yet to fully take effect.

Good evening, thats a cool figure and video. Ive never ordered from toyswonderland before, so I thought that I would ask you the following. Do you please know if all of the Hot Toys figures bought on toyswonderland, arrive to the customer in their factory sealed Hot Toys brown shipper box?

My only gripe is that I wish they had taken the initiative to make this a full blown remake of the Avengers 2012 Cap and included things like an alternate headsculpt with his 2012 hairstyle and the folded cowl he wears on the helicarrier.
Because we _do_ have a remake of the Mark 7 Iron Man suit, and if they decide to remake the rest of the line, this one's gonna stick out if you prefer using the un-helmeted sculpts like I tend to.
Sidenote, the Age of Ultron shield has a brushed metal finish too, actually. Not sure about any of the shields before or since, because I only own the AoU, Infinity War, and Endgame Caps.

The only thing that imo the old one has over the new one is the colour. The new ones masked head colour of blue is a bit different and doesn't go too well with the lighter blue of the body - unlike the original where the colour was the same. Just a small gripe

The new unhelmet head sculp isn't accurate to avengers one and I like the unhelmet look for this version and the battle damage shield will blend nicely with my battle dameged plastic mk7

Do you think the height is something to do with the boots, whether the soles of ankle etc. Sometimes the same base body changes height drastically with how the peg sits in the foot, or the soles on the boot are thicker.

Hey hi, Justin, A great review! I just picked up my 2012 Cap yesterday a truly awesome figure indeed! One thing that I noticed (with my OCD) kicking in! was that the bicep armbands are a grey colour and not the traditional white is that correct for this figure? Thanks ...Cheers G!

Had to come check out this review anger buying the figure this week. Cant wait to get him. Your review is great and makes me even more happy with my purchase. This figure looks so much better and accurate to the Avengers movie. I hope someday soon we get a 2.0 of Cap in his original WW2 era suit.

This was the first Cap I got.. well, the original lol! This is my least favorite suit but, the original head sculpt was good and the shields were metal.. and the Avengers Thor Moljnir.. good times lol!🤘 This definitely has a better base than the original and I do appreciate the new sculpt/Endgame version, septor with case, ankle articulation and brushing effect on the shield. This one should've had the hoodie on the back like the original. ;)

The other figure comparison you can tell the others legs are farther apart which makes them shorter.
That makes little to no difference I promise you that
I wasn't in the game when the 1.0 came out so I don't have it, besides this is not my prefered suit, but I gotta say that it looks nice, maybe I'll try to get it later... in the meantime I'll enjoy my Cap end game that arrives tomorrow!!!!!
