This version being classic 70s Dr Strange, belongs on the Defenders team that consisted of fellow powerhouses such as the upcoming retro Hulk, classic Speedo trunks Namor, Nighthawk, Silver Surfer and we need an updated in scale Classic Valkyrie. You can also throw Hellcat on the team as well.
3 things. 1) congrats on the reveal. You deserve it. 2) Finally a classic Strange. 3) The cloak not being removable sucks. I planned on putting the Mezco cape on it. Hope it’s still possible to do. Oh, actually 4 things….Great review lol

Not a mask. It actually WAS an enchantment he cast that changed his face. The blue face doesn't work on that body though, as the costume changed along with his face, into a tight superhero suit. Later in the early 2000s they gave him the blue look again (THE ORDER) and briefly seen in Fraction's DEFENDERS. IN THOSE stories, it was turned into a mask.
@@BoogNice Glad to help, but again...Nope. Not a mask. The latter story artists also, like many, mistakenly thought the original was a mask, so that's what they drew. But thankfully, only shown as a mask in a panel or two, (either by it being held in hand, or shown to have fabric wrinkles) so it can be safely ignored. But that said... it's a nice figure. I only wish they had got the gold trim on the Cloak correct. (It used to flow completely across the shoulders, and slightly down the shoulder-blades, like a Priest's robe, and then up behind his head, with the Edging on the collar, and "horns" remaining red. Somewhere in the 2000s that was forgotten, and a few artists started drawing it with the gold as being all around every edge.)

Marvel Select has both the MCU, and the comic version. They are both great. Of course I want this one also. Good video. I want a Clea figure to go with these. I love the blue mask head.

I also wonder now why hasn’t HASBRO released any teaser for doing more Fox films X-Men characters by now? We still need a Famke Jean Grey, James Marsden Cyclops and Halle Berry Storm. Overall though, this figure is a great, classic Silver - Bronze age Dr. Strange, and it's long overdo! Now we could use a good Clea.

I wish this Strange had lighter paint applications on his torso. Still a great looking figure otherwise. Might actually be worth the price increase. I haven't decided yet. Ha!

Not read all comments so I will add this, that art on back of packing is from Kevin Nowlan, all his art is terrific. I feel not enough credit goes to the great comic book artists who really make these characters shine & eventually make us want the action figures.
Yeah, there are times where the characters do look the same because of the artist in charge. Same thing with Peter Parker and Mr. Fantastic, depending on the artist, Reed just looks like an older Peter with grey temples.

They are single jointed but a bit deeper than 90 degrees. Seems to be the same arms as Kang.
