- Easy way to make homemade lemongrass oil. It has many benefits and uses such as repelling insects (such as mosquitoes), hair, and skin.

thank you for your nice presentation, my only question is- why don't you wash the lemongrass first before cutting? the reason is that when you wash AFTER cutting
some of the flavor of the lemongrass will mix with the water
Thanks. It's just a personal preference. It makes it easier for me to wash when cut than when they are lengthy. But you can wash before cutting.
Was thinking the same too . Could have washed it dry then cut e scissors

Quick question can I skip the boiling process and leave it for over months in a dark place ?
Yes you must not boil but it last for weeks rather than months
If you are going to slow infuse it, cool dark place for no more than 6 weeks and watch for mold and yeast forming. Or funky smell. If it looks or smells weird, at all, throw it out.

Some herbs are sensitive to heat and if heat is introduced directly during the infusion, some of the medicinal benefits may be lost

Which oil can I use for dark spots and stretch mark please
I have watched other oil extraction process, they use a copper tube to distill the oil (minimal) from the condensation process. It seems like a big difference.
That's essential oil and it is not a homemade process. This is an infused oil.
Essential oil needs to be diluted before use in most cases. This has the same benefits as the essential oil but less concentrated

What you saw before is the correct oil extraction. This one is titled wrong , this is actually olive oil flavoured with lemongrass

Suggest you wash before cutting and hang to drip the water! Wrap in a plastic and pound! Cut ones absorb water!

You don’t. The lemongrass oil essence is added to a carrier oil. Personally I use grapeseed or avocado instead of olive oil.

You can but you have to add more of the lemongrass leaves to a smaller amount of oil just to make it more concented

Thank you for the video, I would recommend sharpening your knife as it seems to be very dull. A dull knife makes for a dangerous kitchen.
Is there a different method 2 make lemon grass oil 2 burn for scent in home
There is the distillation method, but this one requires the use of a chamber where the lemongrass is heated and then another chamber cools it off and the oil is collected. The distillation method produces essential oil which is more concentrated but it is a technical process and not a homemade method.
