Sweat is a bit older, and still my fac Tool it's 1st on Opiate, their 1st Toolbox, because it the most important Tool. Without Sweat, every Tool in the world is useless and worthless

0:07 Im from Peru, and the initial sound is from a theme native to my country. The funniest part is that I used to hear that tune every Sunday from my house, as they practiced local dances with the melody from the beginning of this song in the square near my home. Years later, I hear it in my favorite band. 😂😂

Tool is timeless. A 30 year old song that could have been on a 2023 album makes them very special.

TOOL /UNDERTOW Album is a MASTERPIECE, I cannot say enough great things to describe the Artistic Masterpiece that Tool made with the sound production of UNDERTOW it is by far their greatest achievement. Tool is unique and they sound absolutely amazing on this Album I wish they would come back to this particular sound in UNDERTOW. TOOL ROCKS !!! 🔊🎤🎸🥁🎶

There used to be a underground video release of the studio, making of undertow, and the music you heard in the very beginning came from if I remember correctly a small either Mexican or Peruvian music group, that the members of tool met in a parking garage, and they recorded them playing that song in a car garage

A Bolivian pipe-band was playing in the SoundCity parking lot while Tool were recording. Their song "Oruro; Tierra de Ensuenõs" translates to a town and province called Oruro; World of Dreams

You just gained a subscriber for reacting to this song. Fuck all the Undertow haters.
Also, you nailed it with the production. If you have great headphones, play Bottom, Crawl Away, and Undertow without taking a break and listen deep into the music. Listen for the layers and level volume changes combined with the left right balance and it will take you down a spiral of production amazement. SO MUCH passion and perfection on their Album. Young, RAW, and emotional.

I really enjoyed watching your reactions to Crawl away it was always my favorite on this Album but I love the whole thing it is a MASTERPIECE. The sound production was the greatest I have ever heard before and also Adam Jones works on Hollywood movies he is great with special effects and sound it is a win win for these guys. And Paul on the bass he is my favorite bass player, man he played that Rickenbacker with a vengeance. UNDERTOW Album is my favorite of TOOL. ❤ ROCK OUT !!!

Paul D'amour's bass playing on this album is my gold standard. His tone is the perfect combination of punchy, full and deep, and gritty. Justin is great but Paul added a layer of menace to Tool's sound that disappeared when he left the band. Sylvia Massy is the producer on this album and she is such an underrated genius. She has her own channel where she shows some of her recording techniques and it's fascinating.

You should check out, "Flood," the last non-hidden track of the Undertow album. It's got a lengthy intro, but the power and emotion of the song's ending is so good. (yes there is a hidden "last" track)
