I would love it Palki if you could like have a special debate on this issue. UK Labour clearly and unquestionably interfered in the US elections, but other claims are more subjective. On the other end is Justin Trudaeu who looked silly calling mere reporting on domestic events by foreigners "interference" but Trump and Farage were being extremely short sighted when Farage started campaigning for Trump (that was more in the blurry area although I opposed it). So, we have been lazy and we have let the line blurred so badly that we are in the mess we are currently in. I for one think what we need to ruthlessly enforce is the following. No campaigning on foreign soil. No campaigning for foreign candidates. Admittedly there are other less clear topics surrounding this especially the one of when does reporting become campaigning (which isn't only an issue about foreign media) but as to the first part it should be clear. Don't allow foreigners to campaign for foreign candidates and don't allow foreigners to practice their own politics on foreign soil. But I do think it would all make for an interesting debate.
