Amazing as always! When I see you've posted a new video, it's must see TV, for me! While I do get a little homesick seeing your hunts, it makes me feel better knowing someone else is having fun in that beautiful, country!
Fantastic video, as always. When Gadwalls want in, there just isn't any stopping them and while a guy would rather have swarms of mallards, it's pretty satisfying just to watch them dump in.
Some thinks Gadwalls are underrated but they are almost similar to mallards, only a bit smaller and definitely worth shooting them. Beautiful birds and good video too.
Thanks Cooper! I typically pass on them if there's other stuff around because they don't taste as good as other ducks in my area. But they are very underrated and fully-plumed drakes are gorgeous.
you continue to amaze me with your skill using that 28 gauge. Fun to see the different ducks. Where i live and hunt in the Willamette valley getting a nice drake gadwall is a bonus for me since we don't get many around. We are finally going to get some good rain this weekend so our season should pick up soon( and get rid of the forest fire smoke we have been breathing for the past month! Thanks for the video!
Im jealous of the wind you get there. Just spent 3 days without the slightest breath of wind and bluebird skies up near my cabin a few mi south of canada. Def not typical late oct weather when its sunny, calm, and 73degrees. Cant wait til this upcoming weekend. Will be in iowa crunching pheasants and hopefully some quail with a good senior citizen freind.
Still waiting for my first can after 13/14 years duck hunting. That and an old squaw 🙏 great video as always! Best out right now. And I watch a lot of RUclips duck hunting 👍
@@HighPrairieSportsmen That is Boss right? I thought that I was pushing it with 4s in my 12 based off of the Randy Wakeman Lead equivalent calculation and you are dropping big ducks at like 40-50 yards with a 28ga using 6s. Sheesh
Fire video 🔥 I got one to wait till the 28th for opener I can't even sleep the struggle is real lol 😂 I keep finding myself trying to charge already charged lucky duck spinners and I've reloaded and unload my sled 3 times I don't know whats going on with me lol
Missouri season hasn't started yet, still got one week left to wait for the North zone, 2 weeks for middle zone where I live. Your videos make me antsy.
@@HighPrairieSportsmen i was running the 3x5s but have been thinking of switching to the 6s. Patrerns just arent dense enough for my liking with the 3x5s until im running the crio full choke then its too small of coverage. Ill def try the 6s. Looks like it works well for ya. Not a lot of 28ga stuff out there content wise beyond youn titus at times and drake so i like to ask questions to tjose burning up lots of shells. @@eduffy4937 I've been running my factory full just in case geese show up and I'm loving the pattern with the 6s. Just have to hold off shooting birds too close with it.
@@HighPrairieSportsmen yep. Ive been doing the same here. Full time full choke. Slaps hard at 30, but costs me extra money at 10.lol got a bunch of ringnecks, goldeneye, a buff, and a few lawn darts(mergansers) this weekend with the 3x5s, but im wanting smaller sizw plus morw pellets for these smaller birds moving at ludacris speed.lol
Hey Matt good shooting! I have the same setup and wondered about shooting bismuth through the factory full choke but I can not find any answers or get clarification from Benelli. I know it is not steel shot but wondered if you had the same concern. What is your experience with this ?
Too bad a shotcam doesnt have range recording capabilities. Would be awesome to see reference of yardage and what types of lead people use. Would make a great learning tool.
I'm one step away from putting on my wader's and sitting in my bath tub with some decoys and a call 😂
Been there before haha
I thought I was the only one
An absolute dream hunt. What a great day in the marsh.
Thanks man!

Nice bag, great shooting and vid Matt. I’d never dream that a 28 would be so effective on ducks!
Thanks Paul!
When the ducks fly around Matt, they don’t stand a chance! Lovin it!

Great mixed bag hunt!

Thanks Ed!
Except for when its a hen gadwall. 😆

Thanks Bob! It's been a good season so far.
That muskrat is going to start charging you for a lease here soon.. your duck calling is sounding a lot better too, nice work buddy
Haha thanks buddy! Doesn't sound quite like a kazoo anymore
Great mixed bag!!! Love those kinda days!!!

That`s a good mixed bag limit 6 Birds with 8 Shots enjoyed it Matt.
Appreciate it Chuck!
Your on the way too one of the best duck seasons ever! Great shooting
It's been a great start! Thanks!
Nice double Matt! Looks like you've gained more birds, as we have here too with the cold weather. Barry

Man wish we had ducks like that here in MD. I’m lucky if I see that many ducks the whole season lmao
Haha dang! Is there much for sea ducks out there?

Amazing shooting, in southeastern MN, all I’ve been seeing is teal and woodies since opener, just waiting for the migration
Thanks! It's just starting here too. More coming down soon hopefully
I hunt central MN an I've heard similar. Most years id love to see a gadwall let alone get one.
Nice variety of ducks ! Appreciated you taking the time to give a mini description of the ducks !
What GoPro do you use?

Factory full
Are you still running the factory crio chokes or have you upgeaded? Shot size and choice of choke please?

the reason the canvasback isnt plumed out is because its a hen
