Trying to put together a frugal streaming setup. I just purchased the RØDE Go II, a recommended USB C mini hub, the Samsung 3.5mm to USB C cable, and will pick up the SC7 patch cable from a local store. Thanks for your video!
Thanks for the solution! I think they make a cable called the SC4 which would replace the "patch cable" or USB-c to 3.5mm and the SC-7 cable. The SC4 combines both. I'll be purchasing an SC-7 and a "patch cable" as well as the SC4. I want options, ya know. :D Thanks for the video, really helpful.
With my rode wireless me and my s21 ultra this did not work. My lavalier stopped working with my phone as well. I tried everything. I wonder if its damage to my usbc port
Got same issue with you but mine model is Hollyland Lark 150, and this solution didnt work with mine. Really hopes if anyone have other solution because I almost give up exploring this issue.
I'm using this same setup for my s23 ultra and even though it works, the audio quality is quite terrible and not nearly as good as yours is sounding. Can I ask what kind of usb-c to 3.5mm dongle you are using? does the bitrate of the dongle matter for mic quality?
Unfortunately this has not worked to get my Samsung S22 to work with an Andycine M1 Pro. I have used the same connecting system as you have used but the microphone is not being seen as a USB device. What is odd with my set up is that if I connect a headset which includes a microphone to the cable set up instead of the Andycine the microphone in the headset is being seen by the USB port. The headset has the same TRRS plug as the Andycine so why the Andycine does not work is very odd. But many thanks for showing how Pro Video can show which microphone is connected.
I deleted my previous comment cause i figured something out. First, @kevin is right, you need that TRS to TRSS patch cable, otherwise even if the phone recognises the mic and tells you its recording using a usb mic (as it was happening to me), it wont record audio. Secondly, it seems that you need to use an extra trick: You need to plug JUST in the audio-to-USBC dongle to the phone first, wait a few seconds until it recognises the usb (its like 2-3secs, you can see that on the pro-camera mic settings) and then you can connect the audio cable to the dongle and it works. At least for now it worked for me 5 times in a row, wich is 4 times more than before xD. If I connect both cables at the same time to the phone it wont recognise it 95% of the time (its super random..:Samsung's advice was to turn on the phone in safe mode and wipe all cache...it worked, but just one time...ridiculous).
hello, do I have to configure the micro wireless go 2 on the computer before using them? because I tried by receiving them directly on my samsung s22 ultra and it didn't work I used the SC16 adapter and it didn't work either. The sound is saturated and you can't hear my voice. thank you for your future response.
@@terpsicat hey!! Great news.. it works, you just need to update the firmware on the mics. 1. Install the rode central app/program on your computer. 2. Connect your wireless Go II receiver (or mic..just do one at a time) to your computer. 3. Through the rode central app, update the firmware on both the receiver and mic 4. Done. They will connect and work with your phone without any of the "noise" issues
Thank you for such an informative video. However, a few pointers for u to make them even better.: a lot of irrelevant information, and at times it was confusing just to arrive at a very simple solution that it could have been done in 5 minutes or less
anyone know the problem that the sound works, but after15-20 secs i have some klick noises in the sound vor 4-5 seconds and then everything is finde again... I use it with my galaxy s21 ultra

awesome... thank you... I just went thru so much shit until I found your video........ same issue... but works now... with my s23 ultra.
Thank you for sharing, Kevin.
Solution @10:00 mark for those TL:DW.
Thanks alot, you are my hero🎉
Useful, thank you!

All that is needed is the Rode SC22 USB C cable, one end connected to the receiver and the other end connected to the phone.
How did you solve the problem w shotgun mic?
So grateful 🙏

Sorry it didn't work for your brand of microphone. I have never heard of that before. Must be some knockoff brand.
Thank you !
thanks. Just what I needed. It better work lol.
Thank you so much!!!
The challenge of new tec. Thanks.
All you need is a single Rode SC22 USB patch cable, one end into the receiver and the other end into the phone.

I don't have a clue if bitrate matters. Sorry.
I have the same issue. I use the same mic and UBC adapter in an iPhone and it works fine... but using in my S22 sounds HORRIBLE!
Did you find a fix??

I have no idea what an Andycine M1 pro is.
The video is for a rode wireless go.

No. They are plug and play
I have the same issue with my samsung galaxy s22 ultra. All i hear is distortion noise and i dont know what to do
@@MattAffekted same. i bought this specifically to use with the s22, including the sc16 cable, and it doesnt work....

It works just the same by plugging in a C cable into the rode, and the other end of the C into your S22 or S23
If it did for me and all the commenters, I wouldn't have a reason for this video.
The USB C to USB C method only works on the Wireless GO II, not the original.
I understood the patch cable. What is the other cable.
You mean the 3.5mm female to usb-c cable?
Thank you

How were you able to connect with your s21 ultra? I don't get it😢
Hello you fixed that problem?
