- New Rotom Forms? Yes please! Even if they are Fakemon. In this video I'm going to show off some new Rotom forms I commissioned from WescosF! As well as one other Rotom form I commissioned from fkmnOfficial - now known as FkmnTrainerAdam.
Then, rather than adding to the pile of similar art, like adding ANOTHER jackhammer-rotom, I'm going to show some other fanart by other artists as well! I take no credit for these at all. Great minds think alike.

For the bug type, I like the idea of having the camera drone. It's small, it flies around, and it annoys you, just like a bug! It also references places being "bugged" with secret cameras and listening devices. The propellers are even like bug wings!
That's not all, initial drone designs were based on Dragonflies which are bugs

For bug type rotom, one idea I had was one of those electric fly swatters. The wires could reshape and light up to become the rotom's face, while electric wings come off it, making the handle look like the tail to this weird bug.
Edit: What if psychic was an EXP Share. They're basically super common at this point and the whole point is that it shares the experience through mental stuff

A roomba would be a great ground type rotom... Since it sweeps and collected dust and debris, it should be able to do sand related moves.
And it could have some move like stockpile and the more you use it the more powerful its signature Ground move is

I like the idea of a bug one being a microscope
When I thought of a Bug-Type Rotom, my mind immediately went to Hex-Bugs, which are battery-powered bugs that use vibrations to move. They were quite popular in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s.

I love how Rotom started as a Legendary-esque Pokemon and now is one of the most common Pokemon used for anything electronics related.
It’s like cats. At first you didn’t see them around people much, but then they became useful, so people started raising them, and now there are lots of cats.
When I first saw rotom, I thought it was a legendary Pokémon and I yelled at my brothers cuz we would do “irl Pokémon battles” and we weren’t allowed to use legendaries
I mean that's like motors presumably were when they were invented. Revolutionary. Today it's almost everywhere. So I think it's fitting.

I know Chairman Rose has a perfect IV shiny Rotom and all the Rotom phones are made using breedjects. I mean in Aloha, there are what, two Rotomdexes. One for you and another for Hau. It's only in Galar/SwSh's time period is there an abundance of Rotom.
I know this is a year too late but a fun bug type rotom would be one of those vibrating head massagers with all the legs

Some of my own ideas for rotoms
Fairy: An electric whisk, because fairy is associated with sweets, cakes and desserts. A rotom form that attacks with cream and cake batter would be fitting.
Dark: A motor cycle, think about gruff and tough bikers in seedy bars. It could have a big, spiked wheel it uses to crush oppoents.
Normal: A torch would be fitting given that flash is a normal move and torches are quite an ordinary thing.
Psychic: It's a camera or security drone. It's all seeing, all knowing and uses that knowledge to further serve Amaze-all's needs

Wouldn’t a drone be more fitting for a Bug Rotom? A small, noisy, hovering, *annoying* pest that just keeps bugging you!

I did the "rotom for every type" thing a few months ago (i didn't post it or anything). Drones not only do... that, but bees and ants have certain hive/nest members called drones as well, so it only makes sense.
if you're curious, had also done a ghost electric (because of increased stat total) and pure electric, which i made a vaccuum and lamp respectively. The only one that wasn't designed to be an electric device was my fighting one... it looks like the Liberty Bell, but it was originally a school bell/fighting ring bell.
i also gave them all gmax designs, in which the bug one was gonna be a satellite, but i settled on helicopter, since the satellite makes more sense for my dark one, which is a radio.
If the roomba rotom were for a bug type it could be called roombug lol
This needs more likes because I agree: the bug-type should be the drone! All I can think of are those drone displays by large computer companies showing off "hive mind"-like mentality/programming. And imagine attacks like Attack Order, Quiver Dance, and Signal Beam with a swarm of drones. Plus literally all of what AnonymousFog says about hives and drones.
But to further that, the replacement for the normal Rotom could be the Roomba! It's a simple little device best known for being almost like a normal addition to the family. People give Roombas a lot of personality, and idk I suppose I just equate most normal-type Pokemon to how pet-like or personable they are, if not just how common they are.

The Dragon one fits so well since SpaceX has made a satellite called Dragon. Also for a Bug-type Rotom, maybe a cloud of nano machines? Since they're like a swarm of insects, and so it would get access to Attack, Defend and Heal Order.
That's a really cool idea, but I don't think it would work to have a bunch of nano bots for one rotom

@@dragonicdoom3772 Actually, it could work. Don't bees, ants and termites have like a queen and hive mind stuff? Even if they haven't, that concept might be applicable here, many lead by one hiding amongst the many.
I think this is my favorite Bug idea.
What is that
I think a good way to represent the dragon type by having it be small enough for the battlefield and also use the space theme is to have rotom possess a toy ray gun. You know those annoying toys that look like cartoon ray guns and you hold down the trigger for it to make lights and sounds? It could also learn dragon pulse
Dark type could be a shredder, Steel type could be a chainsaw , Fighting type could be a tumble dryer (shooting out clothes like a t-shirt cannon), Normal type could be a megaphone and bug type could be the drone rotom.

Cause it has "antennae" like bugs, and also has tons of cables which look like little legs, and also a hard shell!

I think the drone in the anime should be a bug type. A lot of recently designed drones are designed with flight-pathing inspired by locust swarms. But maybe that would fit flying type better.
To add onto you, a male bee is called a drone, and they do make busing sounds

I feel like a dragon type rotom should be a reptile resembling animatronic or an toy. Also we need a ghost normal voodoo Pokémon that possesses different materials single stage but I feel like it’d be a cool concept
For a dark Rotom, I can easily see a black light not only because of the phrasing but because blacklights are often used to uncover secrets in crime scenes and...other places, but they also are most commonly used in the dark. Imagine the blacklight on the dance floor at the club making everyone's shirts glow, or even revealing invisible ink on a note.

I'm detecting a star wars reference. Then, again, it might be because I've been watching star wars prequel memes videos from Memenade for the past who-knows-how-long.
Super late on this, but for bug type, the first thing that comes to mind for me is nanobots. Specifically a swarm of them, controlled by a single rotom in a hive mind, which adds even more bug theme to them.
Super late on this, but I would say that camera drone rotom would be the best for a bug type. It’s almost like a dragonfly, having precise, quick movements. The 4 propellers surely make a “buzzing” sound, and the color of it matches huh types pretty well.
We often hear, this place is "bugged" in movies. So I think a listening device / hidden camera. Would work ok. Robotic bugs have also been incorporated into a lot of conspiracy theories which might fit the overarching plot of this region. Plus that Black mirror episode about robotic bees saving the flowers and getting hacked was pretty cool. maybe some potential there.

years back,i loved rotom because of the x and y series rotom episdoe, and i remember drawing 2 new rotom ideas,one being a concrete mixer ground type and a oven fire type.one came true,and only now i realize that i partially predicted a new rotom
15:30 Bug type rotom can also be a fumigator, a plastic bag that's hanging on a tree and catches bugs (I don't know how are they called, sorry, but i saw them in Turkey if it helps) or a double-sided tape that's hanging from ceiling and catches flies.
Bug type could be like a small spy camera or recorder. Being a "fly on the wall" and all that. I imagine a corrupt company would love something to spy on their customers with.

Three ideas: A bug type Rotom that's a USB with a computer bug inside. The USB would act as a stinger, and could have a container shaped like a bee.
A fighting type Rotom that's two hair clippers that it punches you and cuts you with.
A psychic type Rotom that's an Alexa cylinder thing that controls other appliances and listens in to the foe's thoughts.
I think a amazing idea for bug rotom is a quadcopter! A one looking like a dragonfly!
Since dragon is "infinity energy" just make it a rotom that possessed an extension cord plugged into itself

I think for bug type would be great to have an big outlet array with its wires looking like spider legs so it could connect to devices and put bugs in their code!
I'd imagine a psychic rotom just being the rotom dex. He can use his extensive knowledge on his opponents to pinpoint their weaknesses. Whenever you get access to rotom's forms it is always through old, unwanted, or outdated appliances. The rotom dex from sun and moon is pretty outdated now that people just have the pokedex on their phone in sword and shield.
Sadly, I kinda feel like SM and USUM fell off. It’s still my favorite game, and I even have a Rotom Pokédex plush. :)

I think the drone would actually be a fun bug-type. After all, the VTOL/helicopter flight capability most drones use was based on the propulsion methods of bugs allowing them to easily control their flight path without much dependence on forward velocity and wind conditions. There are even experiments to try and make tiny pollinator drones to assist with flora reproduction in areas where bees are dying out. Plus, there's the meta-commentary on them being annoying, invasive and making loud buzzing noises when they fly close enough, and said bee drones arguably taking even more resources from those bees. They bug people a LOT. It'd even make moves like Infestation and U-Turn make sense.
Another concept similar to that would be a small recording device you'd plant to spy on a given location. A "bug" if you will. Maybe it could even be a secondary take on the smart home/speaker device suggestion for Normal type, just themed after a pre-existing Bug-type to try and look more cutesy and disarming.
Either design would play VERY strongly into the whole "We are weaving ourselves into the fabric of your life and your reality" dread of Amaze-All, having Rotoms to act as their... _fly on the wall_ and play into the general fact that people generally feel their skin crawl looking at bugs for too long. Just in a more blatantly justified way.
Bug Rotom could be a Rotom-Roomba.
After being left in a strange, old warehouse; a poltergeist takes over the old automatic cleaning robots. Now using it's 6 wheels as legs, it launches the dust and carcases of the dead bugs it's picked up, allowing for moves suck as Skitter smack, Sticky web, or U-turn.

The way you described psychic type rotom makes me feel like it could also be dark type because you made it sound so... *sinister...*
My idea for a paychic type rotom is a video camera, because they work by tricking the mind into thinking that the pictures shown are actually moving.
As for a bug type, a drone could work. It flies around with motorized wings, can be small enough to fit in the palm of your hand, and can take info back to Amaze-All.
I really love the psychic type being a tv. That's absolutely perfect
I know it's probably too future-science-fantasy to fit as a Rotom design but the first thing I thought of for bug-type; a nanomachine "swarm". It could even share Vespiquen's Order moves.

Also you could make the Bluetooth speaker Rotom immune to all water damage because of the waterproofing on so many of those speakers. Wouldn’t be game-breaking since it isn’t weak to water anyway, but could provide some variability
I remember when i was little and designing my own rotom forms so i loved seeing this video and comparing it to my ideas (these were a little more clever than mine lol). For the fairy type, i went with a claw machine rotom who would help out kids having bad luck with trying to get their favourite toy. Just felt like sharing :)

Actually, I think that the drone rotom would be more fitting as a bug type. As for a normal type, idk a lot of stuff can be applied as a normal type, an original game boy could be a cool normal type.

For ground, I think a rototiller would be much more fitting, it even already starts with the same letters as Rotom!
The Fairy Rotom design is my favorite visually. Since they usually depict the moon and stars, having the form specific attack be Moonblast makes sense then. For a Bug Rotom, there's a couple ideas I think could work. The first I thought of as the video was playing (and before the oldschool PC Rotom came up) was a computer mouse, because with the two segmented buttons, they kind of look like bugs in my opinion. An old PC or a more modern PC tower could work because Bug Buzz (for the louder ventilation) or Signal Beam (LEDs!) seem like cool ideas for form specific moves.
Okay the dragon type being a satellite is freaking amazing, I love space and I love dragons so this would be my go-to Rotom form that I would use basically all the time. xD
I also love the the Idea of a satellite rotom, but dragon makes no sense. Space in pokemon was always psychic and not dragon.

And we can argue if moonlight is really a space themed one, I mean it is more about the magical power of the moon and has nothing to do with it's position. Also why even argue with fairy type. We speak about a dragon type rotom.
So we have one dragon type move that is more a catastrophe and -for that- wouldn't be a good fit in satellite rotom's moveset.
Psychic has a ton of space related moves and the vast majority of space related mons. And psychic moves would also be a better fit for a satellite than dragon type moves.

Bug rotom: Those electric fly swats. I'm always killing wasps with them so you can make it look like a wasp or a fat honey bee looking thing, the handle be the stinger and stuff.

For bug type rotom, I was thinking of something related to Spiderman's suit in the recent marvel films. Just imagine how the superhero vibes will match the bug theme. We seen Ledyba, Scizor, Heracross, and Pinsir have some superhero context in their design.
This idea for a dragon typed rotom in form of a satellite? Marvelous, as a designer I'm impressed!

I don't know why, but I like the idea of a little RC car for bug type. No good reason for that, the other ideas in the comments make more sense, but I just think it fits the vibe. Small, hard shelled, buzzing little creatures that scuttle around on the floor. Also remote controlled as in "hive"mind...

For a bug type Rotom I thought it would be cool to have a “Swarm” Rotom made of multiple nano-bots that could form a bigger robotic looking insect so it would essentially be a swarm of electronic bugs.

I love the satelite and baby mobile ideas! Also for a bug type rotom, I was thinking a little hard drive mixed with a Hexbug Nano. It's just a little guy that scuttles around, steals your info and gives a computer glitches. I know Hard drives don't exactly have motor, per se, but Hexbug Nanos do have tiny motors. Or it could be a tiny, motorized "Listening bug".

This was so creative! I'd love to see a Wormadam cloak for every type, so much potential there. From an electric-type cloak made from loose wiring to a water-type cloak made from shells to a fighting-type cloak made from a boxing glove!

So these are literally just specialized trash wormadam forms...so based on what matthew cumoric said, why not give "trash" wormadam a specialized regional variant! Also, the fighting type could be those bandages like what you see croagunk wearing with a boxing glove woven onto the side making the "cloak" look like a fist.

For the bug type rotom, I think an electronic drone car could work, so it could get U-Turn or Steamroller
