YES I did the "rotom for every type" thing a few months ago (i didn't post it or anything). Drones not only do... that, but bees and ants have certain hive/nest members called drones as well, so it only makes sense. if you're curious, had also done a ghost electric (because of increased stat total) and pure electric, which i made a vaccuum and lamp respectively. The only one that wasn't designed to be an electric device was my fighting one... it looks like the Liberty Bell, but it was originally a school bell/fighting ring bell. i also gave them all gmax designs, in which the bug one was gonna be a satellite, but i settled on helicopter, since the satellite makes more sense for my dark one, which is a radio.
This needs more likes because I agree: the bug-type should be the drone! All I can think of are those drone displays by large computer companies showing off "hive mind"-like mentality/programming. And imagine attacks like Attack Order, Quiver Dance, and Signal Beam with a swarm of drones. Plus literally all of what AnonymousFog says about hives and drones. But to further that, the replacement for the normal Rotom could be the Roomba! It's a simple little device best known for being almost like a normal addition to the family. People give Roombas a lot of personality, and idk I suppose I just equate most normal-type Pokemon to how pet-like or personable they are, if not just how common they are.
For a dark Rotom, I can easily see a black light not only because of the phrasing but because blacklights are often used to uncover secrets in crime scenes and...other places, but they also are most commonly used in the dark. Imagine the blacklight on the dance floor at the club making everyone's shirts glow, or even revealing invisible ink on a note.

When I thought of a Bug-Type Rotom, my mind immediately went to Hex-Bugs, which are battery-powered bugs that use vibrations to move. They were quite popular in the late 2000’s and early 2010’s.
Some of my own ideas for rotoms Fairy: An electric whisk, because fairy is associated with sweets, cakes and desserts. A rotom form that attacks with cream and cake batter would be fitting. Dark: A motor cycle, think about gruff and tough bikers in seedy bars. It could have a big, spiked wheel it uses to crush oppoents. Normal: A torch would be fitting given that flash is a normal move and torches are quite an ordinary thing. Psychic: It's a camera or security drone. It's all seeing, all knowing and uses that knowledge to further serve Amaze-all's needs
We often hear, this place is "bugged" in movies. So I think a listening device / hidden camera. Would work ok. Robotic bugs have also been incorporated into a lot of conspiracy theories which might fit the overarching plot of this region. Plus that Black mirror episode about robotic bees saving the flowers and getting hacked was pretty cool. maybe some potential there.
Bug Rotom could be a Rotom-Roomba. After being left in a strange, old warehouse; a poltergeist takes over the old automatic cleaning robots. Now using it's 6 wheels as legs, it launches the dust and carcases of the dead bugs it's picked up, allowing for moves suck as Skitter smack, Sticky web, or U-turn.
For a bug type Rotom I thought it would be cool to have a “Swarm” Rotom made of multiple nano-bots that could form a bigger robotic looking insect so it would essentially be a swarm of electronic bugs.

I think the drone in the anime should be a bug type. A lot of recently designed drones are designed with flight-pathing inspired by locust swarms. But maybe that would fit flying type better.
Actually computer bugs came from when computers were giant, and when there was a problem with it it usually was because a bug got in the computer, causing it to malfunction
Super late on this, but I would say that camera drone rotom would be the best for a bug type. It’s almost like a dragonfly, having precise, quick movements. The 4 propellers surely make a “buzzing” sound, and the color of it matches huh types pretty well.
Bug type could be like a small spy camera or recorder. Being a "fly on the wall" and all that. I imagine a corrupt company would love something to spy on their customers with.
I'd imagine a psychic rotom just being the rotom dex. He can use his extensive knowledge on his opponents to pinpoint their weaknesses. Whenever you get access to rotom's forms it is always through old, unwanted, or outdated appliances. The rotom dex from sun and moon is pretty outdated now that people just have the pokedex on their phone in sword and shield.
Okay the dragon type being a satellite is freaking amazing, I love space and I love dragons so this would be my go-to Rotom form that I would use basically all the time. xD

And we can argue if moonlight is really a space themed one, I mean it is more about the magical power of the moon and has nothing to do with it's position. Also why even argue with fairy type. We speak about a dragon type rotom. So we have one dragon type move that is more a catastrophe and -for that- wouldn't be a good fit in satellite rotom's moveset. Psychic has a ton of space related moves and the vast majority of space related mons. And psychic moves would also be a better fit for a satellite than dragon type moves.
Super late on this, but for bug type, the first thing that comes to mind for me is nanobots. Specifically a swarm of them, controlled by a single rotom in a hive mind, which adds even more bug theme to them.
A few years back I thought of a dragon type Rotom that is an electric toothbrush. Only because it would learn Dragon Breath. I thought it was pretty funny

This was so creative! I'd love to see a Wormadam cloak for every type, so much potential there. From an electric-type cloak made from loose wiring to a water-type cloak made from shells to a fighting-type cloak made from a boxing glove!
So these are literally just specialized trash wormadam forms...so based on what matthew cumoric said, why not give "trash" wormadam a specialized regional variant! Also, the fighting type could be those bandages like what you see croagunk wearing with a boxing glove woven onto the side making the "cloak" look like a fist.
I would like to throw nanobots into the ring for possible bug types. Lots of tiny simple shaped robots controlled by a central hub (possessed by the rotom), that can rearrange and stuff. it could even use the shape of some insect (or a different bug for each animation) to bring the concept home. Why would there be nanobots though? I dunno, maybe amaze-all can have a use for tiny robots.
What about microchips? Many old computers have circuit boards full of microchips that actually resemble something akin to bugs already. A Rotom could posses a whole circuit board full of defunct microchips and control it like a electric hive mind.
Take this into consideration: Hexbug rotom. Sure it’s a bug, but it’s a little less literally a bug. Bug Buzz would make sense for it because the hex bugs were kinda loud. Some other good moves would be Tail Glow (it lights up), Struggle bug (that’s basically all they do), and Infestation. If you give it some ghostly electrical antenna and maybe a mandibles and it’s the perfect bug type! Edit: Maybe you could combine it with a worm on a string in order for it to use some string/web related moves?
For the fighting type. My first thought was one of those “test your strength!” Game Machines. For the bug type, I’d say a sewing machine, or something that uses thread.
Fairy-type rottom could be "rarer" since fairy often originates from myth and the such. So my idea: Cristmas devices or/and party devices, such as fairy lights or a confetti/glitter machine. Its literally in the name for the first idea, so here is that. As for bug type i've seen a comment, and i agree, a sewing machine is great since it can deal with silk and plant-based fibres.
The baseball thrower as a fighting type is my favorite. That's the level of cleverness and creativity I love this channel so much for. Plus fighting type doesn't just have to be about martial arts. It can be represented by being active and playing sports. So I think your fighting type Rotom is a perfect fit.
Three ideas: A bug type Rotom that's a USB with a computer bug inside. The USB would act as a stinger, and could have a container shaped like a bee. A fighting type Rotom that's two hair clippers that it punches you and cuts you with. A psychic type Rotom that's an Alexa cylinder thing that controls other appliances and listens in to the foe's thoughts.
What about a Volkswagen Beetle for a bug type rotom, good pun, headlights for eyes and bumper for mouth. Or how about about a dune buggy where the frame resembles a bug's exoskeleton.
The ground type could have also been a ground tiller, an appliance you typically keep in the garage that uses spinning blades to dig into the ground and turn it over to make it good for gardening with. We use it to start our small garden and plant vegetables. I think it would have worked good

@@Mr.Xanderoni Electric type only has like one weakness, ground. A Levitate Mono-Electric type would be pretty well-off to be honest, and a Double-Electric type would have 0 disadvantages compared to mono-electric, with double STAB.
Bug could have actually been a drone. It sounds weird, but think about it. A small trick drone would be perfect. It buzzes around, is smaller, flies maneuverably, and it can be annoying. If a rotom possessed a weaponized drone made by the evil trillionares, it would only make sense. It might make it seem like a flying type, but a drone can’t do anything with the air except use it to fly, which many bug types use.
I had the exact same idea. I mean, it could use its little drone blades to X-Scissor the heck out of Flabebé. Unfortunately they already made a drone, so a weaponized drone would be even cooler. I once crashed my nephew's drone into the empty lot next door one Christmas. They all forgot about it. I think.
I think the drone would actually be a fun bug-type. After all, the VTOL/helicopter flight capability most drones use was based on the propulsion methods of bugs allowing them to easily control their flight path without much dependence on forward velocity and wind conditions. There are even experiments to try and make tiny pollinator drones to assist with flora reproduction in areas where bees are dying out. Plus, there's the meta-commentary on them being annoying, invasive and making loud buzzing noises when they fly close enough, and said bee drones arguably taking even more resources from those bees. They bug people a LOT. It'd even make moves like Infestation and U-Turn make sense. Another concept similar to that would be a small recording device you'd plant to spy on a given location. A "bug" if you will. Maybe it could even be a secondary take on the smart home/speaker device suggestion for Normal type, just themed after a pre-existing Bug-type to try and look more cutesy and disarming. Either design would play VERY strongly into the whole "We are weaving ourselves into the fabric of your life and your reality" dread of Amaze-All, having Rotoms to act as their... _fly on the wall_ and play into the general fact that people generally feel their skin crawl looking at bugs for too long. Just in a more blatantly justified way.
Bug-Rotom Could be a Rotom attached to another, well known mechanical Pokemon like Botnyack, showing how far Amaze-All is willing to go when it comes to "collecting" info, even as much as jacking another Pokemon

And since it would be an object that attracts bugs it could learn vespiquen's order moves like 'attack order', 'heal order' and 'defend order' to command all the bugs it attracts

I'd imagine bug rotom to be a camera instead, specifically a macro camera. The lens can be the head and thorax (the face is on the glass part) while the camera itself is the abdomen, with the aura mimicking other insect parts. Macro cameras are often used to take pictured of small wildlife, especially insects. Amaze-All can benefit from this by selling high res cameras to the masses and as advanced surveillance
It would be pretty cool for the dragon type rotom to be a military aircraft, since dragons are often viewed as combative, powerful airborne beings, which also describes military aircrafts pretty well. Also people just love to give their aircrafts names based on draconic creatures, such as the British wyvern or Chinese XiaoLong (fierce dragon)

We often hear, this place is "bugged" in movies. So I think a listening device / hidden camera. Would work ok. Robotic bugs have also been incorporated into a lot of conspiracy theories which might fit the overarching plot of this region. Plus that Black mirror episode about robotic bees saving the flowers and getting hacked was pretty cool. maybe some potential there.

After being left in a strange, old warehouse; a poltergeist takes over the old automatic cleaning robots. Now using it's 6 wheels as legs, it launches the dust and carcases of the dead bugs it's picked up, allowing for moves suck as Skitter smack, Sticky web, or U-turn.

For a bug type Rotom I thought it would be cool to have a “Swarm” Rotom made of multiple nano-bots that could form a bigger robotic looking insect so it would essentially be a swarm of electronic bugs.

I think the drone in the anime should be a bug type. A lot of recently designed drones are designed with flight-pathing inspired by locust swarms. But maybe that would fit flying type better.

Super late on this, but I would say that camera drone rotom would be the best for a bug type. It’s almost like a dragonfly, having precise, quick movements. The 4 propellers surely make a “buzzing” sound, and the color of it matches huh types pretty well.
Bug type could be like a small spy camera or recorder. Being a "fly on the wall" and all that. I imagine a corrupt company would love something to spy on their customers with.
I'd imagine a psychic rotom just being the rotom dex. He can use his extensive knowledge on his opponents to pinpoint their weaknesses. Whenever you get access to rotom's forms it is always through old, unwanted, or outdated appliances. The rotom dex from sun and moon is pretty outdated now that people just have the pokedex on their phone in sword and shield.
Sadly, I kinda feel like SM and USUM fell off. It’s still my favorite game, and I even have a Rotom Pokédex plush. :)

So we have one dragon type move that is more a catastrophe and -for that- wouldn't be a good fit in satellite rotom's moveset.
Psychic has a ton of space related moves and the vast majority of space related mons. And psychic moves would also be a better fit for a satellite than dragon type moves.

Super late on this, but for bug type, the first thing that comes to mind for me is nanobots. Specifically a swarm of them, controlled by a single rotom in a hive mind, which adds even more bug theme to them.
A few years back I thought of a dragon type Rotom that is an electric toothbrush. Only because it would learn Dragon Breath. I thought it was pretty funny

I would like to throw nanobots into the ring for possible bug types. Lots of tiny simple shaped robots controlled by a central hub (possessed by the rotom), that can rearrange and stuff. it could even use the shape of some insect (or a different bug for each animation) to bring the concept home. Why would there be nanobots though? I dunno, maybe amaze-all can have a use for tiny robots.

What about microchips? Many old computers have circuit boards full of microchips that actually resemble something akin to bugs already. A Rotom could posses a whole circuit board full of defunct microchips and control it like a electric hive mind.

As someone with experience in landscape, the ground type Rotom could be a roto-tiller.
I really like the idea of a satellite as the Dragon type Rotom. With the blue energy stuff around it, it looks so cool.
Take this into consideration: Hexbug rotom. Sure it’s a bug, but it’s a little less literally a bug. Bug Buzz would make sense for it because the hex bugs were kinda loud. Some other good moves would be Tail Glow (it lights up), Struggle bug (that’s basically all they do), and Infestation. If you give it some ghostly electrical antenna and maybe a mandibles and it’s the perfect bug type!
Edit: Maybe you could combine it with a worm on a string in order for it to use some string/web related moves?

Fairy-type rottom could be "rarer" since fairy often originates from myth and the such. So my idea:
Cristmas devices or/and party devices, such as fairy lights or a confetti/glitter machine. Its literally in the name for the first idea, so here is that.
As for bug type i've seen a comment, and i agree, a sewing machine is great since it can deal with silk and plant-based fibres.

The baseball thrower as a fighting type is my favorite. That's the level of cleverness and creativity I love this channel so much for. Plus fighting type doesn't just have to be about martial arts. It can be represented by being active and playing sports. So I think your fighting type Rotom is a perfect fit.

Three ideas: A bug type Rotom that's a USB with a computer bug inside. The USB would act as a stinger, and could have a container shaped like a bee.
A fighting type Rotom that's two hair clippers that it punches you and cuts you with.
A psychic type Rotom that's an Alexa cylinder thing that controls other appliances and listens in to the foe's thoughts.

The ground type could have also been a ground tiller, an appliance you typically keep in the garage that uses spinning blades to dig into the ground and turn it over to make it good for gardening with. We use it to start our small garden and plant vegetables. I think it would have worked good

Bug could have actually been a drone. It sounds weird, but think about it. A small trick drone would be perfect. It buzzes around, is smaller, flies maneuverably, and it can be annoying. If a rotom possessed a weaponized drone made by the evil trillionares, it would only make sense.
It might make it seem like a flying type, but a drone can’t do anything with the air except use it to fly, which many bug types use.

I had the exact same idea. I mean, it could use its little drone blades to X-Scissor the heck out of Flabebé. Unfortunately they already made a drone, so a weaponized drone would be even cooler. I once crashed my nephew's drone into the empty lot next door one Christmas. They all forgot about it. I think.

I think the drone would actually be a fun bug-type. After all, the VTOL/helicopter flight capability most drones use was based on the propulsion methods of bugs allowing them to easily control their flight path without much dependence on forward velocity and wind conditions. There are even experiments to try and make tiny pollinator drones to assist with flora reproduction in areas where bees are dying out. Plus, there's the meta-commentary on them being annoying, invasive and making loud buzzing noises when they fly close enough, and said bee drones arguably taking even more resources from those bees. They bug people a LOT. It'd even make moves like Infestation and U-Turn make sense.
Another concept similar to that would be a small recording device you'd plant to spy on a given location. A "bug" if you will. Maybe it could even be a secondary take on the smart home/speaker device suggestion for Normal type, just themed after a pre-existing Bug-type to try and look more cutesy and disarming.
Either design would play VERY strongly into the whole "We are weaving ourselves into the fabric of your life and your reality" dread of Amaze-All, having Rotoms to act as their... _fly on the wall_ and play into the general fact that people generally feel their skin crawl looking at bugs for too long. Just in a more blatantly justified way.

I'd imagine bug rotom to be a camera instead, specifically a macro camera. The lens can be the head and thorax (the face is on the glass part) while the camera itself is the abdomen, with the aura mimicking other insect parts. Macro cameras are often used to take pictured of small wildlife, especially insects. Amaze-All can benefit from this by selling high res cameras to the masses and as advanced surveillance

It would be pretty cool for the dragon type rotom to be a military aircraft, since dragons are often viewed as combative, powerful airborne beings, which also describes military aircrafts pretty well. Also people just love to give their aircrafts names based on draconic creatures, such as the British wyvern or Chinese XiaoLong (fierce dragon)
