    What people don't take into account is the NBA market in general. There were only 4 teams with a lot of cap space. Those teams ate up their space as soon as free agency began. Trent definitely has teams interested, but they're not going to be able to pay what he wants. Same with Kenard and Okoro. I would assume that Jones will probably get resigned with the Wizards since it looks like they're trying to get in the play-in (otherwise that Portland trade and signing Valanciunas makes no sense). But agents should be aware of the buying market the season before, instead of hoping they get lucky...

    • @Dizcreti
      @Dizcreti 3 месяца назад

      Yeah players should now that too like sometimes your going to have accept lower offers because of the market and the market determines your worth. Can work other way around too you can be worth more sometimes

      In terms of Tyus, i think the lack of teams with space and those teams needs at PG really hurt Tyus. I know he was looking for somewhere to be a starter and starter money, but the only team with the space and need was prolly SAS. They ended up getting CP3 on a good deal, and drafted Castle as well. He was dead pretty early on. I could see him resigning with washington if they give him the long term contract he desires, not too sure about it. But my guess is he joins a contender for a year to be a backup PG and try again next season. Tyus is thought of very highly around the league tho, this is def not due to a lack of interest like the others on the list

    • @blablablaa14
      @blablablaa14 3 месяца назад +2

      I think they signed Valanciunas specifically to trade him next year, because his deal is so good at just 10m, I am sure someone will need an upgraded Center at a low costs in the next two years. The other guys on this list don't want 10m they want much more

    • @israteeg752
      @israteeg752 2 месяца назад

      The Wizards have Poole, Malcolm Brogdon, and a rookie they just picked in the Avdija trade. They will not sign Tyus unless it's a sign-and-trade. Valanciunas was signed for only 10 Mil to meet league min cap requirements, and will be traded for draft assets whenever possible.

    • @brandoni241
      @brandoni241 2 месяца назад

      @@israteeg752 they also just signed Saddiq Bey. I think they're going to try because there was no reason to trade Avdija if they were planning to rebuild. That's the type of player to rebuild with. When they first made the Portland trade I thought it was to route Brogdon somewhere else for a pick. But then they signed Valanciunas. Kuzma and Poole are still there, even though teams are interested in Kuzma. They just signed Saddiq Bey. That's a lot of players to offload for draft compensation and nearly impossible due to some of these teams being Apron restricted. It seems like they are trying to make a run for the play-in...

      Honestly Lonnie walker is one of the best perimeter defenders and high ball IQ, I’m surprised no one like Detroit the cavs or gsw went after him. He can facilitate and play off the ball well and is definitely a better investment than a lot of the younger guards.
      I’m a hornets fan and I’m very thrilled that we just got josh green, one of the better young guards who plays as a rotational piece, but I’d still be happy with Lonnie, even though we have a lot of depth at the guard spot. I've been asking for weeks why no one wants Hayward, Kennard, Trent Jr & Jones; all of them fit perfectly on most contenders. Hayward on the Suns would let him play the stretch-4 &he can run the offense late in games if KD &Booker don't get it together. Kennard on the T'Wolves gives Edwards the help they're looking for from rookies; I'll trust a proven veteran like Kennard. Trent Jr on OKC works as part of a trade-package or he can stay cuz age wise he lineup with the squad. Jones on the Nuggets would strengthen their 2nd-unit &allow for Murray to play off ball more which needs to happen more next year

    Im not sure Gordon is seeking a minimum contract. Im amazed he got what he did from Charlotte post recovery in Boston but the problem with him is 1. Injuries 2. Playability.
    If he cant break the lineup at OKC when he has all those tangible benefits there are other issues. And those issues would probably be will he be healthy when we need him, will he take way less than his prior 30 million and will he pout if hes not playing? Low risk: depends on price. High reward: unlikely.
