I don't get all the negative comments I'm seeing lately, I always tune in because your videos are chill, and your takes are generally reasonable, even if they aren't always accurate, which most basketball takes end up being.
He just made a negative video about wiseman last week. He needs to realize wiseman is just a kid. He is still working hard to make it in the NBA. Instead of profiting off his negativity.

James Wiseman Got So Much Potential
If all he focused on was rebounding and blocks, he could stay in the NBA for double digit seasons. There's only one ball and not enough shots to go around, especially for rookies.
Wiseman is going to thrive in Indiana. Just wait and see...
Bigs are always hit or miss for some reason but I really feel for Wiseman he just got injured in his rookie year and it went down hill after that.

Yet, when you look at the recent history of second overall picks, it is a very uninspiring bunch of players.
Looking specifically over the past twenty years, even the better players to have been selected have not been that great.
Players that have not lived up to the hype from this decade include Evan Turner (2010), Derrick Williams (2011), Michael Kidd-Gilchrist (2012), Jabari Parker (2014), and Marvin Bagley (2018), James Wiseman (2020)。

He's in a better situation right now, look at what happened to Jalen Smith when they picked him up last 3 years. And now he's having a contract from the Bulls. I would not be surprise if Wiseman can make a significant strides here in Indy.
As a warriors fan this sucks for him. Because Steve Kerr a person I hate since 2023 never played the young guys and after they don’t play well they trade them because they were not that good even though you played them 12 minutes per game.
He got traded to the pistons. Couldn’t get any worse. Then they traded pool to the wizards. They don’t care much about young players.

Comparing Whiteside's blocking prowess compared to Wiseman's is ridiculous. Hassan really made his living off blocks. Wiseman can't even play good D.

The GSW were already considered a DYNASTY by many before Wiseman arrived.
Many would question if there actually was a "missing piece".
However, seeing as the Warriors were NBA Champs in Wiseman's rookie year, AND Wiseman received a ring, one could say he filled in as a ""missing piece" well enough to earn a ring.
Warriors were actually champions in 2022 which was Wiseman’s second season and the year Wiseman was injured and out for the year so you’re the one who is loud and wrong here 👍🏼

@@tiagolopes2740 When James Wiseman sustained the injury which caused him to sit out a season, he (Wiseman) had earned the starting center position and Kevon Looney was the backup.
Sustaining an injury during play = "Giving up the body" for the team, which is looked at as an example of sacrifice.
By NBA tradition, a player cannot lose their starting position due to injury, since they were not beaten out by a teammate for the position.
This means James Wiseman was still on the roster, and that the starting position would (or should) automatically be his upon return, even if it was the 7th game of the Finals.
Thus Wiseman "Earned" his ring. 🫡

I've got no issues with the man but I hope he's been banking those paychecks. He's not long for this league and you KNOW those millions he made, HALF went to taxes and his agent.
@@JKLauderdale Wiseman is not long for this league? 🤔 15 players = 3 UNITS = 3 Ctrs per team = 90 Centers. CTR + PF = 180 spots. I think Wiseman, who IS a bucket, can manage to stay among the top 180 bigs.
I think Wiseman can be serviceable as a Clint Capela type but his problem is he needs to play with players and in a system that can create shots for him.
Golden State is about spacing, player/ball movement and i feel Wiseman needs to play in a far simpler system. Detroit's problem is they haven't matured as a team and Wiseman isnt the type to manufacture his own offense
@@christopherhorn1161 The Pistons were injury-plagued. Wiseman, who is still only the age of a traditional NBA Sophomore, did not pass the "0.5 Second Offense" test to Pistons standards, so they parted ways.
I still think James Wiseman could've been a good player in the league if he was drafted to a team without championship expectations and was allowed to play through his mistakes and learn what he needs to do better. He didn't get any real development minutes in his first two seasons, and by the time he was sent to a team where he could actually get minutes, he was older, his reputation was worse, and his confidence was shot.
I mean imagine if the Warriors had drafted Lamelo instead, would they have tolerated his shot chucking, highlight chasing, ball dominating, lazy defending ways? Would he have been allowed to develop the way he has in Charlotte, or would his weaknesses have caused Steve Kerr to shut him out?
The warriors developed Jordan Poole. Lamelo would’ve been amazing in the warriors offense don’t overthink it some players are meant for it some ain’t.
He was balling end of last year just had Monty and Kerr who only play vet he got way better at setting screen and rim protection always ran floor good was a really good lob threat

I don't get it - if he wanted to play under Hardaway, because he clearly thought of him as a good coach and/or role-model, since his tenure in the NBA, why was it such a big deal?
In Europe it's pretty common players go after their fav coaches and nobody bats an eye
The NCAA has rules about giving High School players money. In this case, it looked like Penny Hardaway was paying for Wiseman to play for his high school team (which he kinda was).
Considering the penalty was paying 11K to a charity, that was a very minor slap on the wrist. He should have paid it and worked on his game in college. He might have been able to address some of his current short-comings there.

Wiseman is not a Bust. He is only 23 years old. He has improved on defense! In 2022-2023 he started 24 games played 25 minutes. Scored 12 points a game. 8 rebounds the defense went from 30th to 15th in games he started.
