We used to always use all our extra mud. We had 4 parking curb forms . $20 apiece… always had a great Christmas party for the guys an families an never cost us extra out of pocket!! parking curbs paid the bill
I’m having a small addiction added to my house so I told the concrete guy just what I needed for the concrete, what forms to use, how to bull float and brush. He was pretty quiet at the end of our conversation but I could tell he appreciated my suggestions. 😊 Also thinks for highlighting our beautiful state as I’m in Madison.

I used to work as a small engine mechanic for Sears in the eighties and we had almost the same thing. A person brought in a newly bought mower that was seized. They gave her a new one and the mechanic found vegetable oil in the crankcase. When you bought a new machine they gave you a choice of taking it as is or getting it “ Deluxed “ or setting it up with oil , gas and a running checkout. Luckily they deluxed the second one for no charge before giving it to them.

It is very easy to make the block things your self 14 clamps one 4 by 8 sheet of metal and a welder weld, weld each clamp on each side and open and close when you’re done

I believe that when you set that flagpole sleeve in the ground, it needs to have gravel under it for drainage. Then, concrete around the sides.
