Your reactions are so genuine and take me back to when I was listening to Opeth albums for the first time! It's awesome haha! Watershed has a lot of creepy elements because I believe Mikael was inspired by Scott Walker's "The Drift" at the time. It's very avant-garde. If you wanna hear genuinely unsettling music, listen to that album. I would suggest reacting to it if it wasn't so obscure. If you can stomach it, it's very captivating art.
the drift is the most anxiety-inducing and most fascinating thing I've ever heard, couldn't stop listening even though it crawled all over my body:) goes to history for me
Fredrik Akesson ( co-lead guitar ) was detuning Mikael's acoustic guitar as he was playing. #Epic stuff right there. Another album that you'll most likely love and warrants a full album reaction is 'Still Life'. Watershed and Still Life are my top two favorites.
@@scottspears9347 👋 I don't care for the Steven Wilson influence on Blackwater Park. It's just too close to the top for me. I prefer Steven doing his own thing.
The best ever written powerballad. Listened to it five times this week and every time it gives me goosebumps. Excited to see a full album reaction of Opeth from you. Go for it 👍🤘
Opeth is probably the best metal band out there, carrying the torch passed over by classic bands and more recent ones. That said, there's another swedish band that's always competing for #1 place in my preferences, and that's Pain of Salvation. Very underrated band, but just as awesome as Opeth. Check them out, i think you'd love them, considering your good taste for music. Cheers from Portugal.
The h is silent in heir. Many great tracks on that album. Really the last album of theirs that I completely liked. Wasn't as interested in the new direction.
Watching people react to the final section of Burden might be my new favorite hobby now 🙃

@@floridabelle speaking of Wilson, have you listened to “Storm Corrosion”? It’s a joint project with Mikael
@@Mr.D4yz Yes, many many times. 🙂

It's great watching your Opeth journey, I can see just how much you are into them already and you're only scratching the surface :)
That Intro, the way it comes in is etched in my soul.... 😍

Ooo I like undertow by pain of salvation, they are a good band. I'll definitely react to more of their music though, at some point.
I think you should take a look at "In cauda Venunum" and "Heritage" albuns

Yoi have to listen the heritage album, is amazing man
Might as well listen to Lotus Eater. Best song on Watershed
Yeah, Opeth just doesn't "do" bad music... :>
