@iansouthoz I've done pretty much the same as you with my 2018 Deluxe for the same reason. My Saddlebags are for the Deluxe saddlebags and have chrome buttons, and are also quick-release. Your bags are actually for the Heritage, just a slight difference. I also installed Bassani true duel fishtail exhaust system which is a lot lower and makes adjusting the belt easy as well. I recently changed the shock absorber and it now gives more travel. Mine didn't come with passenger pegs either.
Mine had no passenger pegs as well.
I added foot pegs and a Tour pack.

Hi Ian, Ben again from the Netherlands. What a fantastic bike is your Deluxe! I have ordered the mustache engine guard and - after watching your review - the sundowner saddle for my 2020 Deluxe. For my previous Hertitage I also had the leather dressing. I'm afraid that this product doesn't come with your saddlebags, because they are not made from leather anymore. The current material is vinyl… Incredible that you pay so much for a non-leather set of bags. The detachables that I would like cost €1120 in Europe and are also made of vinyl. That's why I'm still in doubt. Anyway, best wishes for 2021 and many safe miles!
Yes, I figured that as I knew they were a vinyl type product. Your right the cost is really outrageous, $1100 Aus and I'm told they have gone up 150. After market have some cheaper options. These bags took 7 months to arrive and I had cancelled my order due to the wait. Then they arrived, so I worked out a pretty good deal with the shop.
I like the lack of black “buttons” on the bags. I wish my ‘20 107 Heritage had at least chrome buttons like the earlier versions. The black buttons don’t go with the chrome motif the 107 has. Happy New Year!

This looks awesome mate. The wife would probably prefer it if you put the Heritage rear shock in though. Deluxe only had 86mm rear suspension travel compared to Heritage 130mm.
My only complaint with my deluxe is the placement of the passenger foot pegs. I would change to heritage exhaust to lower exhaust.
My model didn't come with foot pegs, grab rail, pillion seat. They were obviously trying to save money as the earlier models came with all that. Thanks for watching RSMF.
Beautiful job mate! How do you like the Deluxe for longer multi day trips. I’m thinking of buying a heritage but I like the look of the deluxe better.

Great looking bike mate, I have a deluxe as well and don’t want to remove the exhaust to install the lower bracket bolt - I like your suggestion of buying an alternative hex head bolt - can you tell me what size it is?

Looks great. That one of the the things I like about the Deluxe. It is the iconic looking bike that says Harley and it can be converted easily to a Heritage if you like. The fellow should have given you the Heritage bolts. That’s what they are listed under in their parts catalog.
Beautiful Deluxe and very tastefully done. I can only imagine what all those upgrades cost. I have a low rider and the docking hardware, sissy bar and rack cost me a fortune alone! Thanks

Looks great Ian. I also have a Deluxe and have been slowly “blinging” it up, but don’t think I will do the saddlebags. What do you use to keep the white wall tyres looking so good ?
To clean the white walls just use dishwashing soap and a nail brush works the best
I use CT18, (a truck wash) and scotch brite scourer. Gently go over the white wall and then squirt it off with water before it dries.
