the only thing with most high action mech games is theres never a sense of "weight" that you're piloting a 50ft tall, 500 ton mech. You move like a regular sized person in armour.
I mean, there's Mechwarrior for that. When you start making mechs feel heavy, you have to slow down the gameplay in favour of slower, more weighty animations.

Mechwarrior games can be considered another genre. There the mechs are actually walking/running on the ground, not just boosting around. Gameplay is slower. Jumping is way more limited, and only if you install jump jets. More complex when it comes to customisation. And there is also locational damage, not just one healthbar for everything.
This is what I imagined in my head when I played Metal Warriors on SNES. I'm sure the devs had that as one of their inspirations. That game also had an amazing PvP mode.
There are a good number of mech related games across the older systems from Omega Boost to Gundam. Macross, Megatudo, Front Mission, etc. Side scrolling, fighting, RPG, simulation. I agree that the game really needs to have more customization, freedom of builds with some limits would be ideal and would be heavily useful for this game's longevity. The possibility of counters/counterplay is higher with it being a team game.
Another great mecha game people should try is Megaton Musashi Wired. It's a Mecha JRPG by Level-5. There is a lot of customization. Pretty decent story too.
They need to make an armored core game that's blended with monster hunter. Imagine going out and hunting rare spawn huge bosses to farm pieces for upgrading mechs... open world hunting with a party and coordinated assaults with mechanics.... sign me up!

not only does this game remind me of armored core, it also really reminds me of transformers war on cybertron as a child, the way you can traverse, both on ground and in air, the way you can fight, either ranged with guns, melee or dogfights and much more.
when i was young i watched my brother play this game called mech warrior, looked pretty cool. you could have like your slow heavy gun mechs. it was very tactical, my brother always played super light mechs with just the lightest weapons, this would make you incredibly fast and was a cool balance system.

its not lying if Snowpeak players fund this game . Amazing Seasun Studio my new fav studio, filled my dream that I have proper good gacha Waifu with actual shooter gameplay and a good PvP mech game 😭🙌 All hail Seasun
I played the heck out of Armored Core 3 and 4 and loved it with a passion!! Haven’t gotten a chance to play Armored Core 6, is it any good or did they completely change shit in a bad way??
some of the mechs in this game are insanely overturned. take welkin for example. he can just trap you ina box, deploy blade drones and the spin-2-win with his armor bypassing battle axe until you die and there's nothing you can do about it. his battleaxe has 3 charges and each charge he spin attack for like 10 seconds each.... in addition to him being an ultra heavy mech even if you or someone else can get some damage off on him while he's in blender mode he can just shake off the stagger/damage.
There's a game called super mecha champions, if that game were to get a graphic upgrade with maps this big it would be a good addition to the mecha games list. It would be potentially as good as this.
This looks genuinely awesome. I'm almost crying of happyness seing mech games making such an incredible return. Now we need a new Zone of the Enders and Bandai needs to make a Gundam game that isn't mediocre slop
I really enjoyed the tuturial and hoped it was more of that CO-OP missions that end in a big boss fight but then it became just a basic pvp capture the zone type game.
why you guys not want more mech game this is awesome i want to play a lot of mech games we should love them all also mobile games looks good like look at wuthering waves
If upgrades give you advantage, you shouldn't be able to buy them with money. If you can upgrade with real money (or any indirect way), then it should be a horizontal progression system like LoL where you can easily complete the best possible build for one mech and more money would only give you more options.
Seasun has mentioned mods wont be able to be bought with money, let's hope it stays that way. And mods arent necessarily upgrades too, since they do handicap some stats, its just how severe the handicap is
Side note - You can unlock all mechs by just playing the game. There is no p2w from what I see. Cash is for cosmetics only. There is a chance that "mods" is similar to gacha so you can adjust your mech stats. All mods have a positive and negative. For example, 1 mod may increases your energy recharge but then it will lower your shield regeneration. etc etc
There has been a MASSIVE hole in gaming for good mech games for a LONG time. Something with really well made mechs where the gameplay can resemble shows like Macross and Macross Plus etc. and Gundam Z. I can't wait for this game to come out. Maybe there will be more made since it does look great.

@@serket6807 Do people like the weighted realistic versions more? Every anime/show with mechs didn't have them moving realistically or heavily, they all moved fast af like in Gundam Wing from what I remember.
AC looks so clunky to me.
@@RandomUserYTisFailing i like ac6 more than this personally. It's just preference.
Gundam is man's dream and romance
When are they gonna make a transformers game like this with mega bosses and mech transformations
The Platinum one was OK I guess
transformers Musou game when? can easily do timeline travel stuff to bring them all into one game.
I miss that old team death match transformers game, hell I forget the name of it. Was sick af.
@@RandomUserYTisFailing War for cybertron had pretty fun multiplayer honestly.
Here's to hoping Transformers Reactivate has something good.
Whenever that releases.
This is what I imagined in my head when I played Metal Warriors on SNES. I'm sure the devs had that as one of their inspirations. That game also had an amazing PvP mode.
Everyday I give thanks to Gainax for coming up with the plugsuits.
Man, watching this makes me nostalgic with the old mech anime and the likes of gundam and patlabor
“Make mech games better”
Me: i want another twisted metal 🤘
WH40k: Speed Freaks might scratch the itch? Coming out soon.
closest thing you could get to that is crossout
There are a good number of mech related games across the older systems from Omega Boost to Gundam. Macross, Megatudo, Front Mission, etc. Side scrolling, fighting, RPG, simulation. Dated but can still be fun.
What was the one for the XBox with the huge controller? Steel Battalion? I was never able to get my hands on it back them and I wished that I could have. I still have a decent collection of mecha games.
Liitle does he know dark souls combat came from monster hunter
It came from Zelda Ocarina of Time
@@gabrielhawk No, Lock On came from Ocarina of Time. Ocarina of Time invented Lock On.
@@BeastOrGod Oh, I see.
@@gabrielhawk yep oot introduce stamina bar, sprinting, bonfire, back stab and many more you nintendo fanboy
@@K7TZ And the undead curse
thank you, i am one of the guys who requested this. thank you for playing it and kinda reviewing it 😊
Snowbreak but mecha.
These pre made mechs look great but to what level can you build and customize?
Zach will play all the mech games before titanfall 2 😭😭
Titanfall 2 is great. But to be fair, it is more a Shooter than a mech game.
yep, better be just a mech game
This is the closest we ever get to be a "new" Zone Of the Enders, though not as dynamic as 2nd Runner/Anubis.
What's the point of mech legs if all you do is hover or fly
Ask gundam anime creator😂
For stationary use
You gotta put the engines somewhere
What's the point of commenting if all you do is encourage boring things
@@stevepan-nr8vtThey never had a flying mech in the original gundam tho.
4:02 that sneeze recoil hitting so hard the hair in game moved HAHA
This is better than Armored Core in my opinion
Trash take
nah
Tbf, AC designed for campaign/story mode. While this one going for pvp from beginning.
yep, plays better too, butt, everyone will just defend from software like crazy, probably they never played armored core, just going to say just to say
This just looks like armored core but with that one speed mod that allow mechs go way faster and foccused on pvp 😐 , great game btw
i hope that when the game released they will add destroyable terrain it adds to the gigantic feel of the mechs so as to not like make them like youre in an armored suits in a 3rd person perspective
destroyable terrain will definitely add to the realism that youre not just in an armored suit, you are riding a 45 ft titanium steel 25 ton behemoth of a vehicle.
its like Stellar blade with Mechs. I see eastern devs STILL know how to make a good character creator.
I want a fast paced mech gane that uses something like the original steel battalion controller (or flight sticks)
I dont say this as a bad thig but This is AC6 from the UI to how it feels. AC has a pvp mode but braker will make it more easy to access .
Imagine going out and hunting rare spawn huge bosses to farm pieces for upgrading mechs... open world hunting with a party and coordinated assaults with mechanics.... sign me up!
so kinda like Daemon X Machina?
Megaton Musashi?
@IrionMonk0 haven't played this yet! Saw it recently on steam when it released but haven't gotten around to it. Is it open world?
@nekotorin didn't know this was a multi-player game lol. It's been out so long, is there a community still playing it?
@@TeKStaTuS A little bit of people online
for casual and ranked PvP.
Its mission based like monster hunter, you go pick a mission, take on baddies, take their parts, build your mech and repeat.
There is single player missions and coop, they go to easy to very hard~
If on doubt, pick it on sale.
Edit: spelling
This just makes me sad we'll never get a TF|3 in my lifetime. I miss you Legion
Snowbreak crawl so Mechabreak could fly, the Dev really meant it when they said they KNOW what their customer want. First, waifu, then mecha.
Daemon X Machina or M.A.S.S. Builder are some others you might wanna try if you want more mecha games. M.A.S.S. Builder has a hugely customizable mech builder as well.
They get u to fill out the quality form info after the 2nd match then like the 8th or 10th, thats the point of a beta, for them to get opinions/impressions and data so they can polish the game more before release. They ask you again after a couple more matches to see if your opinion has changed. Hope you keep playing until the 10th! I love it so far! Its definitely a 8.5- 9 for me so far. Im enjoying it the more i play
Do you know if the beta is coming to console too later this month?
not only does this game remind me of armored core, it also really reminds me of transformers war on cybertron as a child, the way you can traverse, both on ground and in air, the way you can fight, either ranged with guns, melee or dogfights and much more.
when i was young i watched my brother play this game called mech warrior, looked pretty cool. you could have like your slow heavy gun mechs. it was very tactical, my brother always played super light mechs with just the lightest weapons, this would make you incredibly fast and was a cool balance system.
have you guys heard a mech game called cosmic break? its like this game but from 2008 , the game have fully costumization equip load and cute anime girls, sadly only a few player left on the server 👍
its not lying if Snowpeak players fund this game . Amazing Seasun Studio my new fav studio, filled my dream that I have proper good gacha Waifu with actual shooter gameplay and a good PvP mech game 😭🙌 All hail Seasun
This game looks like a mech movie, definitely a must buy
I played the heck out of Armored Core 3 and 4 and loved it with a passion!! Haven’t gotten a chance to play Armored Core 6, is it any good or did they completely change shit in a bad way??
6 feel more heavy. U aren’t zooming all over the place like a gundam
some of the mechs in this game are insanely overturned. take welkin for example. he can just trap you ina box, deploy blade drones and the spin-2-win with his armor bypassing battle axe until you die and there's nothing you can do about it. his battleaxe has 3 charges and each charge he spin attack for like 10 seconds each.... in addition to him being an ultra heavy mech even if you or someone else can get some damage off on him while he's in blender mode he can just shake off the stagger/damage.
Someone play Exteel 16 years ago? Well, this is a good succesor in my opinion
There's a game called super mecha champions, if that game were to get a graphic upgrade with maps this big it would be a good addition to the mecha games list. It would be potentially as good as this.
This game is immensely cool with its immersion into the mechworld and the variety of choice
Well yeah the novelty of the game is pvp, but there will be pve in the actual release. Beta is just testing out pvp
Currently playing as well, I love the aerial mechs. Enjoying it so far.
You know it's a good mech game when the Mech Startup and Launch Sequence is given this much attention.
Aside from great gameplay, the campaign and Voice acting in AC6 was incredibly done with different endings. Mechabreak looks like mobile game tbh
I’m just happy for more mecha games 😢
why you guys not want more mech game this is awesome i want to play a lot of mech games we should love them all also mobile games looks good like look at wuthering waves
Very happy to see Asmon play MECHABREAK , for his reach alone! This game is awesome!
Great to see Asmon enjoy a game and not be sponsored for it. Just pure love for the genre and the game.
