    It is important to walk into your commercial checkride prepared and ready. In this week's podcast I will go over three of the questions that really stuck with me during my checkride.

    The hydroplaning one got me. We never worry about hydroplaning in the high altitude desert where we get less than 2 inches of rain per year

    Just passed my Instrument Checkride a week ago. This video gave me something next to look at as I begin my commercial training. MZeroA has been a help for all my checkrides so far, and has certainly helped make me a more proficient pilot. Thank you again for offering all of this help!

    *1:55** is exactly me! That is how I felt when I failed my first instrument checkride, but I failed on the oral exam and I was thinking "man if I could just show him what I know in the airplane."* Jason called me out 😂😂

    Thanks Jason … I’m a student pilot looking to set higher standards for myself and planning on studying for commercial pilot down the road. It’s never too early to learn best practices and pursue mastery in aviation

    Getting ready for my CSEL. While I like the information content, previous applicants have briefed me on the oral contents and they are no where near as difficult as this. The DPE tests to a higher standard than PPL but in essence it’s along the same thread. Higher resolution on sectionals, common carriage questions, plane specs, medical cert durations and step downs, how VSI works, how CG affects performance. All of 1 hour to complete.

    I wish I had know about MzeroA in 2014 when I did my check ride. Check rides get me hyper anxious and I literally get sick at my stomach. Failed IFR check ride first time out due to my horrible nervousness and misunderstanding an ATC instruction on an ILS approach. Jason you are right, I have heard people say it is PPL check ride with a little extra. Memorizing all this stuff is so difficult. I don't know how I got this far.

      Don't be so hard on yourself! We all struggle with nerves before a checkride! Thanks for watching the video and welcome to the MzeroA Nation! If you need any help with anything please don't hesitate to reach out to us at support@mzeroa.com!

    Two watches? 🤔

    ...and thats what keeps me from getting higher ratings. What is taught is, the majority anyway, a trivia test. I bet every day as a Commercial Pilot you need to know the 3 types of hydroplaning. Such B.S.
    I want to know law pertaining to commercial aviation, perhaps some weather, high altitude/ high performance or introductory or turbine information, but instead its crap like the 3 types of hydroplaning. Almost as useless as learning in my PPL the 4 types of fog. Nearly 400 hours now and I have never needed to know what type of fog I am looking at. I just know its fog.

      Hey Kelly! It may seem a little ridiculous in some ways, but that knowledge can be very helpful in knowing how to approach wet runways and how to adjust for changing conditions. The more you know the better you can service your passengers by keeping them safe, which is why the higher knowledge demand is required. I hope that helps!

    I think that the idea of having the "oral exam" is just ridiculous and plain stupid, it's almost like asking you if you are still too dumb to fly an airplane that you've spent countless hours flying in after passing the FAA written exam.

    • @MakeQuickEasyMoney
      @MakeQuickEasyMoney 3 года назад +2

      lol the written is a joke. The oral is needed to weed out people who can only fly the plane in training conditions...
