Oh Black Cat. Probably Spider-Man's biggest weakness next to pizza. She makes him THE MOST gullible dude in the world. They have a BIG history together in Peters early years as Spider-Man. The animated series is a good example.
I love Felicia Hardy! Such a fun wildcard of a character.

@@prathapkutty7407 pretty much. Marvel and DC always have those parallels with their heroes/villains. (Ant-Man/Atom, Iron-Man/Batman...both rich with gadgets, Superman/Vision or Adam Warlock, etc.)
Black Cat is Spider-Man's 2nd biggest love interest and my personal favourite (Gwen's dead so she doesn't count anymore). The main problem is that Marvel's writers are seemingly allergic to the idea of having Peter actually stay in a relationship with either MJ, Felicia or anyone for that matter. Both MJ and Felicia have repeatedly worked through their issues with Peter and seemed to be set to have an actual functioning and rewarding relationship only for the writers to get cold feet erase all the progress and set Peter back to square one to maintain the status quo despite the vast majority of Peter's fanbase just wanting him to be in a stable relationship and be happy.
Fun Fact: The “Maggia” was Stan Lee and Marvel’s name for the actual mafia because back in the 60’s the mafia had really thin skin and any insult to them or insinuation that they were the bad guys was usually answered with violence. So the Maggia were created to avoid offending the real-life New York Mafia, as some comic book distributors had Mafia ties in the 1960s

Mostly, but the execution of her manipulative nature is less playful and more really cruel.

The City That Never Sleeps saga was an excellent story expansion for continuing Spider-Man's journey, like mentioned in the Main Story's beginning there's a power vacuum for criminals to take advantage of New York with Kingpin behind bars, first it was street thugs, then the Demons and now the Maggia. Plus from what I've learned Kingpin used to be the right hand man of Don Rigoletto, the original Maggia boss of all the crime families, until Fisk took advantage and killed Rigoletto making the city his to take over, which forced the crime families to do business elsewhere, and now they're back to they're slowly re-establish themselves. As for the Black Cat's father Walter Hardy, because the cutscenes skipped that side mission, he didn't want his daughter Felicia involved in his cat burglary, but she did it anyway for seeking the thrills. and it's also revealed why he turned himself in, the Maggia heard about his skills and wanted Hardy to work for them, Walter said no and that got him on their hitlist, even worse the Maggia will target any family or friends to make their point, so the best way to protect Felicia was to take himself off the board.
Black Cat is cooler in this game than she's been in any media.

The DLCs for this game are phenomenal I love how Peter was able to resist black cat every time she tried to get fresh with him

God I hope we see Black Cat in a future live action Spider-Man movie. We almost had her in the Andrew Garfield movies, she was in Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Felicia Hardy/Black Cat was played by Felicity Jones, best known as Jyn Erso from Rogue One.

MCU spider-man 4 would be the perfect time to introduce her. Like, it literally couldn't be any better. Peter has no current love interest and no one knows peter so he's likely to spend less time as peter and more time as spider-man. Black cat always starts off attracted to spider-man and wanting him to *be* spider-man (until later when she regrets not giving *peter* a chance). This would be the perfect setup for his personal drama in the movie
@@xmant8842_exactly_ what I’ve been thinking after NWH. Peter chose to be alone to protect those who didn’t need to be involved in superhero/criminal business. Black Cat is already involved in criminal business.
I think whatever comes after NWH is a great opportunity to bring new characters to live action Spider-Man stories- Miles, Felicia, Daredevil, Kingpin, etc
Ngl while mj is obviously the healthier love interest for peter, id probably pick black cat over her if given the option. Especially in the insomniac games. They have a kind of natural chemistry whereas peter and mj have a kind of awkward chemistry. Not to mention peter and black cat seem to be a pretty dymanic duo in combat

Honestly Black cat/Peter is more sexual tension than natural chemistry, especially given her hobbies. Mj and Peter get along pretty well when they aren't fighting
Honestly i don't prefer mj here. She is annoying when comes to argument. Mj put herself in danger and she is like " mj don't do this mj don't do that like I'm little kid" yes you are little kid mj.
MJ in the games comes across incredibly entitled and immature to me. "You reacted exactly as I would've" which is a lie cause Peter wouldn't have reacted like that. He needs to call MJ out more often. Their whole drama in the main story was all because MJ wanted to constantly put her life in danger and her breaking point there was sneaking into a base where she would be shot on sight and then act like she's in the right. Black cat is inherently superior

I think the cop was the original Black Cat in disguise and is actually her father. Damn, I really want Black Cat to be in live action films, as well as Scorpion. We had Green Goblin, Doc Octopus, Venom, Sandman, Lizard, Electro, Rhino(?), Vulture, Shocker, and Mysterio. Still no Scorpion. I watched the Fox Kids animated show a couple decades ago.

Not too familiar with Black Cat's comic roots exactly but in the animated series she was Felicia (forgot her last name) another potential love interest for Peter, though she also took the syrum that Cap America took that made him strong, hers was an enhanced version. Not sure if this version of her actually has taken that Syrum though. They never really talk about her past here.

I noticed that the video you are watching is from 4 years ago, so this is the original version, and you will end up seeing Peter's original face, just warning you not to get confused, they changed his face in the Remaster, which is the version you watched in the main campaign!😅
Did you know creators of the game made sure to create 2 recordings of same dialogue 1 where spiderman talks a bit relax (when he's not swinging around) and other when he sounds more exerted (when he swings)

I remember reading about how black cat was given "bad luck powers" by Fisk. It was a long time ago, so I might be off. These powers would cause people around her to slip, devices to malfunction etc. Since she was associated with spiderman, he wanted her bad luck powers to influenced spiderman and cause him problems. They did and Felicia and Peter decided to split up because of it.

I sorta wish this series of games kept MJ and Pete separated until like the last game so we could see his other relationships! I love this game, but this particular playthrough cut out some major plot points from the main game and DLC. Regardless, Achara is the best; her commentary is so f'ing entertaining.
