Nice update! I was shocked to hear my name unexpectedly, lol! Glad you enjoyed the beer! Counterweight is one of the larger breweries in CT, but not too big. I think they do a pretty good job with most of their lagers too. And I love canning starter wort. I've had jars on my shelf for may years...
@FermentationAdventures I'm hoping to refine my process. I'll be making a new batch of starter wort soon as I ran out already. Been brewing alot lately. The beer was very good. Thank you for sharing!
@graeme02 I may do the same to combine processes. Making the wort separate isn't a big deal but it is a separate day. My only concern would be having hops in the wort. I thought about sneaking a little from the mash but then would have to boil it. I guess I could take off the top of the boil before adding hops.

I have been thinking of doing something similar for my starters by utilizing leftovers from my brew day. I mean, it's both fresh and free right !
