    I love how you go right in. I think this contributes to how organic and lively your art looks.

    This is so cool! I had no idea it was that simple to fold a little booklet. I usually just go for a saddle stitch

    I wish some RUclips or had made it more clear how important it is to login before you start watching videos so you can like comment and subscribe and support the people you really like and want more contact from! Maybe if enough of the people who have millions of subscribers would actually say how important it is those who simply watch videos without logging in might get it. It was not until 2017 that I understood that it even made a difference! Hullo Alice said something in a video and answering my comment/question made me a better viewer! So in any case Steph I think it’s a great job and very cute covers to your books and I found and answered your other question in your other post, recently read book. Be safe, take care and have a lovely holiday season!

    What’s the best book you’ve read this year?

    • @LetMeintheLibrary
      @LetMeintheLibrary 2 года назад

      Some of my faves of the year are The Paper Menagerie, the Swallows, The Joy Luck Club, Priory of the Orange Tree, and Project Hail Mary!

      Oddly enough I just read the final book of the Artemis Fowl Series The Guardian, yes a juvenile selection, for a more adult choice I read the first 3 of the Grishaverse by Leigh Bardugo. I have started the 2nd series but it is slow starting but I am told it is a very good read too!

    Loved reading SK's The Outsider and Mexican Gothic! Getting ready to read his Holly book after I finish reading Michael Crichton's Jurassic Park/Lost World and Ethan Pettus's Primitive War (love books that feel like creature feature movies and have lately been into spooky dinosaur stories). Definitely recommend checking out Stephen Graham Jones' Mongrels some time - it's got some heartbreaking moments and some family drama, but with werewolves (though fair warning - it's got some grisly moments here and there).

    nice easy way to make an art book too if you need one for college, even tho i would have a hard time narrowing down the books i would include if i did one for books, way too many fav books

    This is great! I've always wanted to make a zine (I grew up as a DIY punk with a bunch of friends who made zines), but for some reason I never really got around to it. I followed your folding pattern, and I'm excited to put something in it. I've been into block printing lately, so I might use that.

    what is the light grey ink brush pen you use?

    • @TheAverageArtist
      @TheAverageArtist  2 года назад +1

      Thanks! I replied with a different account so will reply again haha. I said that it was a pentel pocket brush with the cartridge (which was used mostly up), I was dipping it in water to get different consistency with the ink. I also used a bigger one that was a pentel brush also and a copic marker brush pen. Hope that helps! (I highly recommend pentel brush pens!)

    Great minds think a like, I made mini zine instructions for my Instagram this morning. I made 100 zines for a project last year, but I only used regular printer paper. Does the watercolour paper look okay when scanned and on printed copies or does it leave fold lines?

    • @TheAverageArtist
      @TheAverageArtist  2 года назад +1

      Oh wow, I will have to check that out! Yeah watercolour paper is fine, it's not too toothy plus you can always mess with the values/levels on photoshop etc.
