This has inspired me to take my very large collage artistry to a whole 'tiny' level. LOL. Love the whole 'tin' idea, too. I have tiny black tins leftover from another business that would work perfectly for these mini zines... done in black, of course. I had not seen anyone using black paper before... GREAT idea to make things POP! THANK YOU so much for the idea - they will make special, unusual gifts of inspiration that people can carry around in their briefcase, backpack, purse, car, and so on and so forth. FABULOUS saleable item! (:
And speaking of sharing, you could “edition” them. Put your pages together without gluing. Then unfold, copy the now flat, single sheet. Fold, cut, and glue into multiple copies to send to your correspondents. START THE PRESSES!
"With the understanding of course that there is no difference between advertisement and news; they all use the same principles, which are basically the principles of motivation and influencing which we commonly call propaganda." I just love how you slip this message into your video. Your zine-commentary is fun and insightful. I haven't made a 12 page zine before... going to try this!
Thanks for this video. I made the 6page zines quite a while ago (and forgot about it). I just wonder if I could write private letters as a zine using ledger paper (? about 11x17 inch, it is A3 in Germany) with an extra broad typewriter. So it‘s another project for me :)
You could paste individual small prints into the zine. Or, make a grid camera that permits all of them to be exposed individually, then the whole thing folded and sliced into a zine. And don’t forget typewritten text.
You have got me thinking about pop up pictures etc here. Thanks for the ideas.

This is a great idea Joe! Thanks for the tip, doing this with watercolor paper to do some flower drawings and paint them.
I like it very much! It is interesting!
Cute! Thank you!
Very nice!
Will be making one thank you!

I typed a letter, using an A3 paper in portrait mode and taking a double site as one page. The zine-letter looked nice.
Have you thought about making zines with Photographic paper?
