lol they were a little challenging! It took me a min to get the dog gone things to come loose. Idk why they made them without a hour meter in the first place. Seems very dumb to me lol
Can you please please please lol make a video on how to set yhe bars . Mine are up to close . Im 220 pounds. Also it seems to turn one way more then the other . I have the 2023 cub zt1 . Ive herd something about screws and teeth to bars
Thanks a lot, man. I just bought my ZT154P. Your video showed me how to put that hour meter on as well as how to let it calculate the correct hours. On another note, how do you like the cut? I got mine July 4th and gotta be honest. I'm not impressed with the cut. I was going to take it back and exchange for the bad boy, but the store manager said the standard blades on the cub are "high lift," so it's for baggers. I told him I was going to put the mulching blades on, and he said that should make a difference.
You’re welcome dude, my cut is really good to be honest. I always cut my grass on setting 1 and it has a really even clean cut. I’m not sure what blades came on mine but helpfully with new ones yours will cut better. I actually bought a bagger for mine I just have to install it yet.
It was far easier to use a heat gun, and peel off the decal halfway, you don't need to take any of the switches out, pop out the plug, use some silicone paper place the back of the decal. Trim the hole to the size of the knock out then replace the decal then push in the meter and plug in the wires. Easy
i'm 99% sure that the reason cub doesn't include an hour meter on the ZT1's is because they have a bumper-to-bumper parts and labor warranty for 3 years, regardless of hours. so, hours don't matter to them for the first 3 years. as a company, they probably actually end up saving $'s based on volume produced which would require a $30 (wholesale cost) hour meter per meter along with the costs associated with repairing those units under warranty vs putting an hour meter on every single unit.
That might be but for 4000 dollars we the people expect an hour meter so we can keep track of the hours for our maintenance plan. I still wanna kick the guy in the nuts who thought that was a good idea.
@@T-MillProductions, lol...i hear you! the decision was probably made by some bean counter in the office and not the engineering side. an engineer would not only have included an hour meter, but a full system diagnostic model for the engine and mower deck running in the background. i used to work in new model development for a major japanese auto manufacturer and i've actually seen 'bean counter engineering' at work. it hardly ever works for the consumer, but, "...man oh man, does it ever improve those margins!" it made us engineers want to hurl every time we caught wind of it. now, lets move along to why there is no $0.25c drain plug on the bottom of the transmissions. don't even get me started on that one! it's total BS that the ezt-2200 hydros don't at least come with a fugg'in drain plug!
I can only imagine what they do to save a penny man. I work on school buses and the way they design things is just as stupid. They use mild steel on everything and it rots away in 2 years and then the replacement parts all come stainless… doesn’t make any sense lol. Companies today just love to screw people over I tell ya
Most likely yes, but honestly I probably wouldn’t. It’s just a sticker and I know what the switches are for so I wouldn’t waste any money on it. But like I say if I got it for free or with a kit then I’d use it
Excellent video on how to install that hour meter! Well demonstrated! 👍👍
Thank you very much for that compliment!
Thank you so much
Didn’t love the advertisers as much 😅
You’re welcome! And what advertisers?
They had hard core anti-democrat commercials.
@lauracurtis7616 oh really lol? I have no idea how RUclips controls ads, but thanks for sitting thru them
I almost gave up finishing this project cuz I couldn’t get the stinking controllers out! 😅

Thank you, helped me install mine
You’re very welcome my friend!

Excellent video 🇺🇲🍾🎉🇺🇲
Thanks for sharing, keep producing more videos about the cub cadet
Thanks for watching! I’m about to do a video on an oil change on the cub.
Great video, did everything that you did and it turned out perfect.
Thanks for watching and thanks for the nice compliment! I’m glad it worked out for you!

I counldn't agree more. It should come with the meter.
I would love to meet the idiot that thought to not put one in here
I was thinking the same thing when i got mine home and couldn't find the meter.
I would like to ask cub why they do that, for 4000 dollars I expect a meter

Eh what ever works for you man. At the end of the day as long as it functions the way you want it to that’s all that matters
and, add a fuel sending unit with gauge now!
That would be really nice too!

U didn't had to peel the sticker....u could of just cut it out with razor
You could do that too, but the kit comes with a new one so why not use it?
@T-MillProductions I agree but wa if in future u need a sticker again u have to order or buy a new one?
