Before clicking on the video I was thinking to myself "it would be really nice to find any readymade solo". It is a really good feeling knowing other people appreciate Frusciante's work as much as other do. What a time to be alive and to listen to these masterpieces!
Black boy funk instrumentals in the verses and choruses, with white boy singing, but solos with heavy doses of Hendrix, Lynnard Skynnard, and other other rock influences. When those are done right, they can really cook.
Such a great compilation! I've been listening to all the solos on your list so many times since I watched their live performances on RUclips. Personally, most of the solos at Chorzow are the best and deserve to be at the top.
Such an incredible list!! I can honestly say as a huge JF fan that I’ve seen each of these solos dozens of times and my list looks extremely similar lol
In my opinion his best solo is from californication live at santiago, it's not as flashy as these but you can really feel the music and it sounds so emotional
Man, #1 on your list is sure a rocker, but Dani California at number 4 takes it to the top for me. It's got that feel good feeling that makes you wanna dance.
Amazing guitarist but I feel like this is mainly just his fast repetitive licks other than that final Parallel Universe solo which is an example of the more emotional playing he can do
@@glebcreativ1 man, it has very good energy. Do not ever tell me Steve's any solo has not NRG. And also it has pure excecution and powerful structure. Here's No1 is solo from Parallel Universe which has no NRG and nowhere near even for the solo from Throw Away Your Television (where in the ending they start jamming with Flea mainly) which is way better, and, I mean, I do not even like the song itself, nor the solo, but I do not deny that Frusciante is a brilliant gtr-player with solid ballsy sound. I just think such guys as Metheny, Vai, Howe are better and more crafty and nrg-tic through their clarity. You just love Rock/Funk
@@papablister8570 I've seen all of this show. My thing is this show is second best from RHCP ever. And Venice Queen is no solo, but it's all better then solo, especially it's beginning
It's a completely different approach. Vai is great at what he does, maybe the best. But he is a virtuoso, John takes a way more instinctive approach on the instrument. He lets instinct take the wheel, so he is not as clean, but it's all about the vibe, and how it builds into the groove of the song. I don't think they aim for the same things with their music
Some of the Eddie solos are starting to get up there
I couldn’t agree more! I’ll be releasing a top 10 JF solos during the Unlimited Love tour and that one will definitely be on there!
eddie solo to me is a knock of from throw away your television on the slane castle concert
Flea is also killing it on Throw Away Your Television
Their Slane Castle set has got to be one of the best set ever. RHCP at their absolute peak.
I Could Have Lied. Soul To Squeeze. Before he was twenty-fucking-two. Crazy talented guy. My fave musician of all time.
my top three favourites solos is : 3. Parallel Universe (Slane Castle) 2. Don't forget me (L cigale) 1. Wet Sand (Japan)
Hearing a live frusciante solo for the first time always feels like an entirely different energy
Before clicking on the video I was thinking to myself "it would be really nice to find any readymade solo". It is a really good feeling knowing other people appreciate Frusciante's work as much as other do. What a time to be alive and to listen to these masterpieces!
I agree, I am so moved by johns playing, seeing them for the 2nd time in Vegas this April I'm stoked
@@ellwoodfriedrich2849 I hope I see them live this summer in Europe, can't wait to try and meet John!
Anthony: "Oh clean it up Johnny!"
Johnny:
Don't forget me @ la cigale best solo ever. Goosebumps everytime
John was in God mode that night
That one always hits home for me.
My fav is....that little intro in Slane Castle
yes sir totaly valid my favourite is also parallel universe slane castle
john really put that custom telecaster thru some shit
I love how the time he broke a string made the list 😂
Another one of his best solos would be the one from Wet Sand, John absolutely shreds and it’s awesome
Wet Sand should've been the final song of Disc 1. Awesome outro
It's impossible not to miss some other stuff, but good selection, it made me happy while I listened
Even broke a string on If You Have To Ask and still blasts out an incredible solo.
Froosh kicked some dust off the moon with some of these
His solos are always absolutely incredible to listen to live. Such an inspiring and talented musician.
I saw these guys so many times loved every single time just because of this man
I could have lied solo is one of my favourites.. U dont believe me.. Watch the live version 🎸😎
we are blessed to live in a time with john. great list - thought chorzow californication should be higher. slane castle is goated.
#9 club cita Kawasaki,japan 1990
Oh man I love your list so much!!!! Thank you for this compilation🙏🔥
Appreciate it man!🔥🔥🔥
Black boy funk instrumentals in the verses and choruses, with white boy singing, but solos with heavy doses of Hendrix, Lynnard Skynnard, and other other rock influences. When those are done right, they can really cook.
*Breaks string*
*proceeds to make up a solo on the spot*
nice
This video lacks of wet sand (any solo of this song is absolute banger)
It's always Dani California for me, it's just sounds so fun and addictive.
Couldnt agree with you more. Thanks.
Such a great compilation! I've been listening to all the solos on your list so many times since I watched their live performances on RUclips. Personally, most of the solos at Chorzow are the best and deserve to be at the top.
Californication solo in Japan 2004 is also one of the best
Slane Castle Parallel Universe is truly a peak solo...
I agree completely with the top 2
I knew Slane would be #1
Always my favorite!
That scar tissue is a heartbreaker 😅 I love this list man, I was watching through thinking where is Parallel Universe? Right where it needs to be 🙏🏻
Such an incredible list!! I can honestly say as a huge JF fan that I’ve seen each of these solos dozens of times and my list looks extremely similar lol
Definitely a great top bro !
I personally think Scar Tissue at Chorzow and Can’t Stop at La Cigale are my favorites.
Great list
Fricken love my Wildcat brother. Such a freaking genius. ❤❤❤
Great tier list :) not what I would of done quite exactly :) but thats the fun of these, arguing all day long over them :)
great video!
Great Rank!!! Perfect top-3!!
Parallel Universe Rock am Ring 2004 is my favorite, but Slane Castle's solo its a classic and very epic too!
Gotta get his extended solo he did on Hey recently where anthony forgot his queue
I know these lists are a matter of opinion, but you absolutely nailed the top 2. Thanks for the video!
Wet sand should be on here
Yo! This stuff is really incredible....nice choices!!! Thx for share and the goosebumps xd ✌
I appreciate it!!! More content to come!🔥
dont forget from 2006 is a huge absurd solo, no words
Great list! I would also like to mention the C´mon girl solo at Reading 2007. For anyone who hasn't heard it check it out
The greatest guitar player of all time🎸
the RHCP in Chorzow is just such a good concert
Scar tissue in Japan is nuts
my top ten would probably all be from slane castle haha!
switched from tab in google chrome, scar tissue solo kicks in, instant goosebombs all over my body.
For me the best 2 solos are parallel universe at a backyard bbq in 2000 and scar tissue in Poland in 2007
In my opinion his best solo is from californication live at santiago, it's not as flashy as these but you can really feel the music and it sounds so emotional

Bro is like my way
John handles a guitar the way Leatherface handles a chainsaw.
I knew Parallel Universe was the first one
I would say Wet Sand solo @Fuji Rock Festival.
Jhon solo best red hot Chili peppers 🤘❤️
I wamtnold fruscianti energy or at least solos....it was such a adrenaline filled sound.....slowly John is getting comfortable again..
one of my favs is get on top japan 2004
#1 Don't Forget me
The best
Man, #1 on your list is sure a rocker, but Dani California at number 4 takes it to the top for me. It's got that feel good feeling that makes you wanna dance.
The ninth solo is fucking insane and it's really iconic, simply marvelous!! John never disappoint us.
GOAT 🐐
You should also check Rhcp jam 19 and josh & john emotional guitar.
It's so strange to see John playing on a Les Paul
DAMNNN great list
Anthony: "Oh clean it up Johnny!"
Johnny:
Amazing guitarist but I feel like this is mainly just his fast repetitive licks other than that final Parallel Universe solo which is an example of the more emotional playing he can do
Agree
Great guitarist..
flea no se queda atras
Goddam john!
throw away your television solo is even better in the live at slane castle version
I clicked on this video thinking to myself: "Slane Castle Paralel Universe MUST be the first on this list!"
1人のFrusciante RHCP ファンとして嬉しい限りのランキングです!
僕もうれしいです
Nice! Paralell Universe at Slane definitely n° 1!!!
Top demais... fodaaaaa
Don’t Forget me should be #1
Dani solo at Alcatraz is >>> the Dani Solo at #4 here
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘👽👾💀
Throw away your Television at Slane was better. And the By the Way solo at Slane? Also, no Wet Sand at Pinkpop 2006?
♥️.
Green heaven is god john the best solo
It's just a Minor Thing man
my best 5:06
Listen to Steve Vai solo in Keep On Rocking In The Free World at G3 Live in Denver. Then you will get what the definition of exemplary solo is
What's so good about it, pure technique? It's a good solo, don't get me wrong, but it has no energy nor soul some of the John's finest solos have.
@@glebcreativ1 man, it has very good energy. Do not ever tell me Steve's any solo has not NRG. And also it has pure excecution and powerful structure. Check out Venice queen slane castle. No solo but feeling is off the charts
@@papablister8570 I've seen all of this show. My thing is this show is second best from RHCP ever. And Venice Queen is no solo, but it's all better then solo, especially it's beginning

If theres 1 SOUL THATS EVER EXISTED!! THAT CAN GO TOE TO TOE WITH FLEA!!!!....its Freaky Frusciante!!!
Mans from another universe!
The second clip is disgusting to me.
21st century live solos are crazy 😢and hey lol
