  • In Memorial of 2T4T's Richard Dunn (+ 2010). And thank you toTony Bray!
Dubbed the "GWR Predator" and featuring an all new bespoke design, this new for 2005 car is the result of a tremendous effort. The concept of the car was to use an ex-Arrows Formula 1 Cosworth V10 powerplant and use the engine's light weight and power to increase the power-to-weight ratio even further. However, in October 2006 Wight announced that the V10 engine was to be sold as he was frustrated at being uncompetitive due to constant engine problems.
The Predator, with its combination of ultra-light weight, innovation and comprehensive sophistication, represents a major leap in the technological level employed in a purportedly amateur sport. Wight had a frustrating 2007 but late 2008 the Predator finally got rolling and in the final round of the season at Doune, it took its first stage win in the British Hill Climb Championship.

I’m revisiting, the once seen & heard v10 Predator, never to be forgotten. And brilliantly piloted by Graham .

Never to be forgotten, was fortunate enough to witness Graham going up the Hill @ Doune, if I remember he set a new Hill record that day, 2008 if the old brain is still functioning. The Arrows V10 delivered an astonishing sound. Amazing. I do know he had many problems developing the car. Do watch him at Goodwood away back driving a Gould what a fantastic driving performance, there was some controversy about his speed, I suspect he upset the apple cart 😂. Bloody brilliant

Pretty gutted i never got to see this with the V10 in person.
However, I'm pretty sure this is the very chassis Jonathan Varley uses with thr TKD V8 in the back of it. Still a hell of a thing to see and hear even though it's no longer got the V10 it!

That’s a pity, it was unforgettable and I’m a dedicated Petrol head for around half a century, and Graham’s handling of the car was unbelievable, fantastic memories

@@janoginski5557 I know. Really gutted it doesn't run with the V10 still in it but it gave Graeme constant headaches with reliability. I don't blame him for binning it as i'd do the same.
