  • Unboxing Girls Aloud Ten Limited Edition Deluxe Boxset
After a year long hiatus of the group with the girls pursuing solo projects, the girls reunited, and together, #GirlsAloud celebrated their 10 year anniversary with their second greatest hits collection and an acommopanying tour. The tour was the group's first tour in four years and their first tour since they returned from their three-year hiatus. It ended on 20 March 2013, with their final performance at Echo Arena Liverpool, which was followed by the official disbandment of Girls Aloud. #WeRemember
Eight tracks from Girls Aloud's first greatest hits album, The Sound of Girls Aloud: The Greatest Hits (2006) are included on Ten, namely "Sound of the Underground", "No Good Advice", "Jump", "The Show", "Love Machine", "I'll Stand by You", "Biology" and "Something Kinda Ooooh". The singles after the group's first and before their second greatest hits album such as "Sexy! No No No...", "Call the Shots", "Can't Speak French", "The Promise", "The Loving Kind" and "Untouchable" made the track listing of Ten. The only singles after their first greatest hits album that weren't included on the group's second greatest hits album are "Walk This Way" and "I Think We're Alone Now". The track listing of the deluxe edition's bonus disc was decided by the fans, voting for their choices on Girls Aloud's official website.
The lead single from the album, "Something New" received generally positive views from critics, praising its unusual structure as well as the production. The song was also the official single for Children in Need and it peaked at number two on the UK Singles Chart. Justice!
On The Metro and Every Now and Then both should have been singles, if not for the stalled momentum of Beautiful. "On the Metro" received critical acclaim from contemporary music critics. With the headline describing the song as "Unparalleled Amazingness", Bradley Stern from #MuuMuse gave it a positive remark describing the song as "better electro-pop perfection" and said "“On The Metro” is a 100% flaw-free dance-pop tune. It plays like a cross between the ferocity of “Memory of You” and Mini Viva's “Left My Heart In Tokyo.” A reviewer from The Reflective Inklings awarded the song five-out-of-five stars, stating "On The Metro will instantly wow the listener with the song’s smart electropop gloss doing what it is supposed to do. The chorus packs a whole lot of conviction and is one of the song’s strongest suits." Robert Corpsey of Digital Spy believed that along with "Every Now and Then", the song would prove "the prospect of a new Girls Aloud album in 2013 would be a very exciting one indeed." He also highlighted the song as an album standout. A reviewer from So So Gay believed that "On the Metro" and "Every Now and Then" are far more standard Girls Aloud fare
