Unfortunately, Toronto Transportation refused to implement "real" transit priority at the traffic signal intersections. They still want to give single-occupant automobiles priority, letting the left turning vehicles turn ahead of the 100+ on board the streetcars. Meaning the streetcars have to wait until they get a green light to cross the intersection to get to the farside platforms.

Its not the ttc's fault its more the governments.

@@Humulator The City of Toronto needs to change its policy ratings. Currently, the single-occupant automobile gets #1 priority.
      Should be…
      #1 priority-emergency vehicles
      #2 priority-pedestrians
      #3 priority-public transit
      #4 priority-cycling & e-bikes
      #5 priority-delivery & contractor trucks
#6 priority-autos with more than one person, including taxis & ride shares
      #7 priority-single-occupant autos
      #8 priority-personal trucks or SUVs

I always thought that the TTC wasted an oppurtunity to create a short turn loop mid-route by not laying a perfectly circular track all the way around Spadina Crescent.

Like actually. 506 could short turn there and Northbound 510's could as well

wow I had no idea this streetcar line was built so recently. I'd like to know how it will intersect with the planned "Ontario Line"

Do you think the Harbourfront East Lrt could become a extension of the 510? Or would it only be for the 509?

I think the East Bayfront LRT will be its own route operating from Union to the Port Lands. I can't see the 510 being extended east since that would needlessly complicate the route at Union imo. Same with the 509 which will more than likely be extended west to Park Lawn as part of the Waterfront West LRT.

Give the street car a 2:1 signal priority over car traffic, then it will be a success.

Give me confirmation on information about my transportation from Spadina Station

I used to take the bus from the Spadina Station to go to the "new" Chinatown in the early 1980's (the old Chinatown being the one at the intersection of Bay and Elizabeth, the "midtown" Chinatown being the one at the interaction of Broadview and Gerrard). Very lively area and Kensington is just one block West of Spadina. The last time I was there in the evening, it was quite dead. Instead, College and Spadina seems to be busier. The vibe is just different now.
