I have read that this album is Jari's most personal. He deals loss of his father in this song and also in song Eternal Darkness aka autumn (which is greatest black metal song in my opinion).
@@CasperLeskinen i don’t wanna make a competition out of this, but listen to the song „Ballade auf den Tod“ from the austrian Black Metal band Ellende. It’s in german and understanding the lyrics makes the song even more epic, but even without giving a fuck this is a beautiful tragic masterpiece. Please give that one a listen.
Eternal Darkness is about dealing with the anger and pain whereas Loneliness comes with the realisation that you won't see that person again IMO. Listening to them in order (Autumn then Winter) is such a perfect journey !
my books this song is wintersun best song and world scale this song going the super songs section. thanx to great reaction like always with this band. have great day there.
Kai never left the band, so he is still officially the drummer for Wintersun. However his tight schedule with Nightwish prevents him from touring with Wintersun, so they have been using different drummers for their live gigs. Heikki Saari is listed as the live member for Wintersun on Wikipedia. For the forest seasons album, Jari used programmed drums instead of live recording.
First Stratovarius drummer Rolf Pilve playing at Wintersun and now Heikki Saari? Rolf Pilve - Wintersun - Awaken From The Dark Slumber @ Wacken Open Air 2018 ruclips.net/video/1kmyU0qeAwI/видео.html
@@ACorpseWithoutSoul Yeah they've gone through a couple of drummers. I think Jari said that they've been lucky that there are lots of good drummers in Finland who are able to fill Kai's shoes.
Kai is still drummer for Wintersun, but they have used other drummers in tours cause Nightwish schedual haven't worked out many times. Also their bassist Jukka Koskinen is tour member of Nightwish cause Marko left Nightwish.
Check out Eternal Darkness (Autumn), it's a mind blowing black metal style song about death and darkness. It precedes this one on the album. As for Sonata Arctica, I only recommend their old stuff - Full Moon, Kingdom for a Heart are good choices.
Next time you coud be explaining what you are drinking, could be interesting also. I interpret the lyrics a little bit more different and imagine winter as a person, or ghost, so an individual who has to go as soon as the sun gets stronger and the snow melts. Also you have to remember that Finland in Winter is different, very much north and almost much of all the daytime dark as the night. The 4 seasons are all on this album, and you have to listen to them all I think to understand the album. Winter is my favorite and Autumn is also very impressive. Who was again this famous classical Italian composer, who did the 4 seasons also.🤣🤣🤣🤣
There's a link in the description about what we're drinking. However we are *supposed to* mention it in the video, but we quite often forget to do so lol

Absolutely agreed on your last statement. No other black metal song comes close. And if some song does, I need to hear it.

Eternal Darkness is brutal! Yet another masterpiece but so difficult to listen to because it is just so brutal.
this is just excellent in every way
Well..on this album Jari used a drum machine for drums. And he did an amazing job..i wouldnt have realised if i would have read it after listen
Loved this one! Jari's vocal performance is so emotional. The lyrics in all of their songs are poetic, worth checking out.

Instalike!
Jari deliberately writes lyrics which are ambiguous and can interpreted in multiple ways. He's not really explaining them in great detail.
