  • Knies is a very unique player. For a 6"3 210-pound player, he has some insane skills and shots. He played for Minnesota this year on the same line as Logan Cooley and Jimmy Snuggerud.
    Toronto fans should be very excited for this guy because he looks insane

    NCAA is kind of a joke though. It rarely ever translates to NHL. NCAA players care more about being flashy than the fundamentals, causing them to get steamrolled in the show. There's 0 hits in NCAA

    • @TChockey
      @TChockey  Год назад +2

      Well the ice is way larger in the NCAA so there is more space for skills player so ofc they are gonna be more consistent with there dekes. But yeah you are right 90% of these flashy play won’t work against NHL competition

    • @JordanStaples9
      @JordanStaples9 Год назад +5

      The CHL is still overall more skilled but college hockey is as strong as it’s ever been. Jack Eichel, Cale Makar, Adam Fox, Quinn Hughes, Charlie McAvoy, Trevor Zegras, Cole Caufield, etc.
      Then you’ve got guys like Fantilli, Hughes, Cooley, Knies coming in, and while all unproven, they all have a high upside too

    • @cK-2794

  • @EDDYEAGLE
    @EDDYEAGLE Год назад +5

    When he actually plays against talent he’s horrible. Trying to deke into like 3 guys and loosing it because he doesn’t have the actual skill. Half of these dekes here are him failing but he still corrals it because the players are so bad. Did you see him in the world juniors he looked like he had low iQ. He’s overrated but for what he actually is a 2nd round pick he’ll be a decent 3rd liner. Maybe net front guy. But this guy doesn’t belong in the top 6 with guys that have iQ and playmaking ability. He should just be a net front guy on the 2nd PP and then a work horse individual guy on the 3rd line. He’s also not NHL ready at all. He will struggle hard and contemplate his decision. Because it seems like the Leads are trying to rush him

    • @TChockey
      @TChockey  Год назад

      I realise that too don’t worry. An important point to look to are his line-mate. Cooley and Snuggerud are the real stud on that line but Knies is a good complementary player to them. He could potentially be a top 6 player on a weaker team in the NHL imo tho

    • @rogersalles200
      @rogersalles200 Год назад +1
