- My cover of Buckethead's brilliant song - Soothsayer. Took quite a while to learn this song, but I think I got most of it right.
If you arent a Buckethead fan or dont know this song you could skip to about 2:45 if you're bored of listening to the intro stuff

I've been popping in and out of this cover for the past 4 years, it's the best cover for soothsayer.

I've learned most of this song myself recently and his hands are exactly where the notes are and move at the appropriate speed. There are some small mistakes/inaccuracies throughout the performance that obviously prove he's not just pretending to play it. If you're referring to the backing track, watch any live buckethead show. He does the same thing so he doesn't need an entire band for all his shows. Maybe learn how to play guitar instead of criticizing something you clearly know absolutely nothing about "u titt"...

Great cover. Two thumbs WAY up! Seen a hundred videos of Buckethead playing this song live and even he doesn't always play it flawlessly. He has timing issues, effects issues and he wrote the song. He is human like everyone else. Anyone that has the balls to play such a difficult and emotionally written song and do it with such attention to detail and respect for the original is aces in my book.
Oh I have nothing but respect for Bucket and his playing, I was just simply saying he is human like everyone else and he too makes mistakes so don't be so critical of those covering his tunes because they are difficult and sometimes even the Bucket himself gets tripped up. It's all good.

Hi There, Have you ever seen a guy called Michael Shulman play soothsayer. He does many versions on youtube, his older versions being the best. He doesn't just play the chords, he plays a melody all the way through. He's something else. Oh, and by the way, he's not a guitarist. Have a look, and stick with it as the longer he plays, the better it gets. All the best.
