Leica Q3 or Q3 43….my thoughts and decision

Thanks for the wonderful video. Just a few questions about M and q3-45. I’ve been using summicron rigid f2 50mm with m10. I am thinking about selling it out and getting Q3 45 because I have always wanted Qsystem and the fact that there are many situations that I have to use auto focusing one-handed. Would you suggest this and are you satisfied with apo system on q3-45 ?

Very much satisfied. The tilting screen, autofocus and the fact that the Q lens feels better in hand to than most M lenses. Go for it.

I sold it to KEH and I only ended up losing $500. For an almost a years worth of use. That was the Q3. The SL system doesn’t have the same resale value.

The SL3 is a terrific camera. I have a silver SL2 and am planning to get an SL3 (I’ll keep the SL2 as a backup).
I have a Q3 43 and an M11 Monochrom. Both are excellent, but they’re completely different shooting experiences compared to the SL3.

what metering and focus modes were you using?

Focusing ..a combination of manual , AFC or iAF. For metering I typically use highlight weighted or spot for portraits
