  • Join us as we continue our Morocco travel adventure in this Morocco Travel vlog. As part of our Intrepid tour, we bid farewell to the pretty blue city of Chefchaouen and embark on a private minibus journey to the vibrant city of Tangier.
To make the most of our time in Tangier, we opt to extend our driver's services, allowing us to explore some off-the-beaten-path sights beyond the city center. Our first stop is Réserve du Cap Spartel, a picturesque park where we enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature's beauty. From there, we venture to Cape Spartel, home to the iconic 200dh lighthouse, offering views where the Atlantic Ocean meets the Mediterranean Sea. Our journey continues with a visit to the renowned Hercules Caves, an awe-inspiring natural wonder that leaves us in awe of its grandeur.
Once we reach the outskirts of the Tangier Medina, we bid farewell to our minibus and continue our exploration on foot. We dive into the heart of Tangier's old town, immersing ourselves in its rich history and vibrant atmosphere. From the bustling Tangier Grand Socco to the majestic Tangier Kasbah, we unravel the city's hidden gems, history and indulge in its captivating charm.
As the day draws to a close, we have the unique opportunity to experience Moroccan hospitality first hand. We visit a local family's home in a suburban neighbourhood, where we are treated to a delectable dinner and enjoy some well-deserved relaxation before our overnight sleeper train journey to Marrakech. Stay tuned for an upcoming video where we share the captivating moments of our train adventure.

I remember the days of cigarettes on display as well, I use to work in a little newsagents in my mid-teens and they would all be sitting their behind the counter in their colourful inviting boxes - sometimes even on promotions. Always good to visit caves when you can, the views at the end of the scene were great. Tangier looks like a nice place, fascinating to hear about all the history and changes of ownership - I didn't realise the British were so involved. Learnt quite a bit from that, and I now know why tangerines are called tangerines. Night time atmosphere looked hot, love how so many of these places change when the sun drops down.

How are you doing mrs Caroline. Thank you for sharing your trips with us . As always iam gathering main information about places you visited briefly here it’s Tangier is port of city of Morocco name from Latin origin for tings , daughter of Altas but probably from Semitic tigisis harbor . In English often Tangier’s by influence of Algiers. It’s located in northwestern Morocco, on coast of Mediterranean Sea and Altantic ocean. The city is capital of Tanger Tétouan. Tanger is well worth visiting because it’s Phoenician town and trading center . Tangier has been nexus for many centuries. In 1923 it became international zone managed by colonial powers and destinations for many Europeans and Americans , diplomats, spies , bohemians , writers , businessmen. There are several attractions such as legation museum , historical sites , grand socco , souk ( market) where sell traditional products, cafe , complex of castles on top hill sultan moulay Ismail garden since 17 th century palace called dar el Makhzen.
