Cutting the boys hair yourselves saves so much! We do the same. I think we end up buying new clippers like every other year, but if I do two hair cuts with it, it already pays for itself. I’m glad you are figuring out a new budget method that works for you. I don’t know why we do monthly budgeting when we get paid bi-weekly, but that’s just how my brain works 😂
Hey Stephanie. Great BWM. I used to budget weekly (Sunday to Saturday) even though I got paid biweekly. It made sense to me that way. Since I started sharing here on YT I’ve stopped. I am a huge fan of weekly budgets though. Keep a. Keep a close eye on your rollover, that’s what tripped me up.
hi steph! i love your budgeting video🤍 it's so organized and very easy to follow your system and budget! omg i really want to learn how to clip hair so i can do my husband's hair and we can save money!!!
I recently found your videos. I have a question about unbudgeted. I am so used to seeing amounts for a miscellaneous category. If you don’t assign an amount for unbudgeted where do you pull that money from. I see that you are very detailed which I like..Thank you
Hi, thank u so much for watching. I pull money from other variable categories. If I didn't have enough to pull from another category then I would inevitably take it from a sinking fund or my emergency fund. But if I'm under budget in grocery or kids and I need some money for something else, I just use the money that's already available till there isn't any more money lol.
@@budgetfor5withstephanie Thank you for taking the time to answer my question. I was assigning a dollar amount to miscellaneous and the average this past year was $8 per month and some months it didn't even get used so I don't think I need that category and wondered how you handled unbudgeted...Thank you again. It is wonderful to budget and track spending so you can make adjustments as you go along.
@@ts1358 my goal is to have a category for most things that come up so I would review ur misc expenses and see what they were for and decide could they fit in another category u have..like parking downtown..could come from ur car or auto category. Donating to the girl scouts bc u wanted some cookies..that's food or grocery.
@@budgetfor5withstephanie girl scout cookies yum...lol..thanks for the tip. When I first started I was groceries and everything else was miscellaneous or other as Jordan Page puts it...I have slowly dwindled away at misc over the past couple years and have more specific. I do like how you put consumable household as your groceries as well...thanks again...
Brian cutting everybody's hair is a huge savings!!! Great BWM... Love the allocations if you all bring in extra...❤
Happy Monday! Great BWM! Hoping you have an awesome week! 🌸💗🌷
