- This is the @shortstache X @PolarProFilters collab we've been waiting for!! This is Circular Polarizer with mist diffusion. That means we can cut glare, manage reflections, balance saturation, and when the light hits, we get that hint of bloom/glow in the highlights. Literally thread it and forget it! Support the homie!
Here is a direct (non-affiliated) link to the filter on Polar Pro's website: b.link/shortst...

Hi Danny, I have a question, how does this filter work together with a variable ND? And in what order would you place them? first the ND and then the EVERYDAY or vice versa
Thanks in advance 🤜🏼🤛🏼
@@JBCCC you COULD do that. I have seen some wonky things happen with polarization overlapping variable ND no matter which order, but I think enough people have asked similar questions so polar pro stepped it up with this: www.amazon.com/dp/B0D5MV6JSX/ref=cm_sw_r_as_gl_api_gl_i_4AQ5AAE9120ZMK52XTN5?linkCode=ml2&tag=dannyb07-20
@@DannyBatistaHi Danny, Thank you very much for your quick response. Yes, I know that filter, but I'm not sure if 2 till 5 stops will be enough to record outdoors during the day and unfortunately I cannot buy the two variants 2- 5 and 6 to 9. 😔
@@JBCCCyeah it’s going to depend on if youre shooting at like 1.4 or a more stopped down aperture. I recommend getting the 6-9 and then just using your second higher base ISO for your camera if you need more light that way you only buy one of the filters. HOWEVER, try your filters and see if you see any issues. Test with motion and movement as well as direct sun
@@DannyBatista many thanks Danny! I will try with my filters and see if strange things happen. At the moment I am going to buy a good 1/8 mist filter to use it together with my Schneider True-Match Vari-ND MKII , with which, by the way, I am super happy. One again many thanks for your tips 🤜🏼🤛🏼
This filter is so dope! I’m diggin it
Absolutely loving everything about it!!
Great video.. did you have any ND filter on this? Either physical or in body ND?
Thanks!
This is filmed on a Nikon z8. No internal ND, and no ND filter period when filming this. (Only because I forgot my moment ND’s in my other bag as I rushed out the door😭). What I do have is one of the only cameras that shoots internal raw video (n-raw or proresraw) and let me tell you how friggin amazing THAT IS!! No need for a black magic or Komodo here!
@@DannyBatista great explanation danny! And great video!
Then I can't use a lens hood. So it can't be used as an everyday filter for me
I use my lens hood with polar filters everyday, but in this video that would hide the sexy green and gold, but yeah my lens hood stays on too
@@DannyBatista How do you rotate the polar filter with the lens hood on?
@@rickybollerthese filters still have an edge that sticks out under the attached hood.
