Dolores O'Riordan was unique, her vice and the way she sang is amazing, unbelievable. She was strong and vulnerable. Its so sad that she passed so young, at least she left this wonderful legacy to the world
I'd say that 'No Need to Argue' is such a soft but emotional song that it could be interesting as another contrast. It's so soft and just beautifully sad, showing Dolores' fantastic voice in its lowest range throughout the song. You will need loads of tissue though, it's like listening to a beautiful funeral, and it gets me crying a lot every time.
And in a very different direction you might consider doing the song Overcome from the movie Cyrano. That is some simple music that is just incredible at getting emotions out. Especially with the incredible dialog-singing.
Your facial expressions during this song said it all. While i cant claim to have as beautiful a face as yours, i imagine my expressions are very similar to yours. This is one of my favorite Cranberries songs just for its sheer beauty.
Empress it was like a roller coaster ride watching all the emotions on your face when you were not aware you were showing. When Dellores passed it broke my heart it truely did. So when I see people all around the world reacting to it it puts a huge smile on my face. To be truthful Dellores could have been black as the ace of spades or as white as an Inuet, all that mattered was her voice love is and always has been colour blind, pigmentation would never come into the equasionI, I would have been her soulmate for life based on her voice. Makes me sad in one breath and happy in another folks have realised her talent. Thank you for your reaction Empress x.
The voice thing you were talking about that she does is called keening. It's a traditional Irish lament for the dead type of singing. Not surprising if Sinead O'Conner has done it too since she's also Irish just like this band.
I still mourn for Deloris O'Riordan. Such an amazing woman. I miss all of the music she would have done. At least I have all of her other music before she passed away. I love her voice and the way she always has her Irish accent and that keening sound. RIP Deloris
Dolores O'Riordan, who found international fame in the 1990s as the lead singer of the Irish band the Cranberries, died by drowning, according to a coroner's inquest. The singer had been in London for a recording session when she was found dead on Jan. 15. She was 46. There’s a band called Bad Wolves, who did an amazing cover song of hers as a tribute. You should check it out.
It never ceases to amaze me when people post reactions videos upon hearing songs for the first time and PAUSE THE FUCKING SONG in the middle of it. How can you experience the song properly?!
I hope you react to another Cranberries' song called LINGER. That song was her own casting song for the band that she had written as a result of a break up.
This is a bit of the forgotten third mega hit of theirs. Linger and Zombie get all the attention, but having lived through this era, this track is a fantastic transition between 80s pop rock, and 90s singer/songwriter alternative rock. This was an era when even poppy alternative bands could show their musical chops, in an anything goes music world. It's sad where it all ended, in auto tune and unimpressive performers, but it was a fun journey.
From Limerick; Dalores O'Riordan, had a rough start in life. Her Dad was killed in a motorcycle accident and she was kidnapped and raped when she was a young girl. She struggled with PTSD from the kidnapping most of her life. She wrote Zombie after a sectarian bombing killed two children and wounded several others in Belfast. Dalores targeted those who were profiting from the violence, labeling them, "Zombies." The song became an Irish anthem for peace, then a world anthem for peace and helped pressure both sides into negotiations. Paramilitary leaders, both credited her with having great influence in the process and criticized her for it as well. Some even threatened her. She died in her London hotel bathtub prior to recording the reboot of Zombie with Bad Wolves. No autopsy was performed, but the likelihood of suicide or homicide was strong. Either way, Ireland's little hero and peace martyr finally has her rest. In Dreams you hear more of her keening than in Zombie. This is an ancient style of Irish singing. The Irish were the original inhabitants of western Europe with settlements going back 10,000 years. It's dreams that causes me to grieve her passing more than any other song.
Dolores' dad wasn't killed in a motorbike accident, he was badly injured but survived and lived until 2011. As far as I know she was never kidnapped but she was abused for several years as a child.
Dolores was able to sing using Keening a traditional form of vocal lament for the dead in the Gaelic Celtic tradition, known to have taken place in Ireland and Scotland. Keening, which can be seen as a form of sean-nós singing, keening is not easy to transfer into song, it is usual a cry. P.S. I tear up every time I listen to Dolores bc here voice is so intense.
Empress another great reaction.....She's got a nice voice.....Can you please do a video reaction to the song Give Me Love by George Harrison(George Harrison was the Lead Guitarist for The Beatles,He died of cancer in 2001)...Thank you and have a good day

I was a single street away from her when she died that day and didn’t know until the following day. Heart wrenching that she could have lived 😢❤
She has such an amazing voice and I was so saddened when I heard of her passing. A beautiful song and a beautiful reaction!

I hope you react to another Cranberries' song called LINGER. That song was her own casting song for the band that she had written as a result of a break up.
Please do Linger as well.
The cranberries"linger" X :)
This song is the opposite of Zombie, it lifts your spirits where Zombie is a heavy song....I love this song:)
Change can be a blessing. Pointless to worry which is more beautiful, Sunrise or Sunset? Both are needed for the other to flourish. Peace/JT

Love this song from the movie The Next Karate Kid
Great song and voice. Have you tried "Blue Moon Revisited " by the Cowboy Junkies. Margo's voice is as pure as Delores voice.
Yes PLEASE LISTEN TO HER SONG CALLED LINGER! THAT WAS ONE OF HER FIRST HITS SHE WROTE.
In her songs, Delores takes you away from your life and draws you into hers. I miss her.
"Dolores"...Just Sayin.
Potato, potahto. 😊

Her name was Dolores. Zombie was a reaction to an IRA bombing in England that killed two children.
Dolores' dad wasn't killed in a motorbike accident, he was badly injured but survived and lived until 2011. As far as I know she was never kidnapped but she was abused for several years as a child.
Cranberries "Linger"
The song must be at maximum nuclear burn volume. Got me almost through college.
That vocal technique is called keening, an Irish traditional style that she did so incredibly beautifully.
É a primeira vez que me inscrevi..neste canal..qual é a língua estrangeira dessa youtubers?
