Hello, thank you for this great information. May I ask specifically, what BIO markers DID the physician use to gauge his patient’s progress after 3 to 9 months on the 200 MCG dose of M t H F ? “ was Thcy one of them? If so, is there a link to the study with the improvements?

Folate is methylated around 18 thousand times per day and in that process it is converted back and forth from DHF to methylfolate so taking methylated form wont save you and in general it doeasnt make a difference unless you are folate deficent. If you have hard time remathylating homocysteine back to methionine just take more choline and you may want to suplement creatine to lower your methylation demand.

Thank you for a great educational video on methylation and methylfolate dosage. I inherited the MTHFR-C677T polymorphism, heterozygous. Although I am asymptomatic, I am sure my methylation is not optimal. So I am consuming green leafy veggies for folate/B9 and taking methylated B Complex vitamins and B6, B12. I really don't feel any difference. Have a great day..😊

I would try creatine, its counterintuitive but it worked in my case, if you have mutation that slows your creatine synthesis then your body will overmethylate because it doeasnt have feedback signal that it has enough of it and if you take in account that creatine synthesis is around 40-70% of all methylation then there is huge potential for overmethylation if you have enough SAM-e in your system. Even if you have problem lets say with BHMT which is another pathway for remthylation of homocysteine then creatine will still help

Taking Methyl folate 800mcg everyday for three months , never felt any side effects . Also Methyl B12 5000mcg , No side effects , what does all this mean in my case ?

Be warned it can make you quite ill. At 100 micrograms daily I turned into a mental mess and joints ached badly. Took weeks to recover.

400mcg is fine for me but 800mcg makes me really aggravated and moody

50 - 100mg Niacin (B3) can help buffer the excess Methyl groups.

All good- you miss one ingredient - and that is the most important. All symptoms related- you need to visit a real Health practitioner- you cannot Diagnose people on face value.
