This is amazing. When I got tendinitis a few years ago, I never thought I'd be able to make drawings come to life even though I could still do Greasepencil put so much strain on me I'd all but given up. Thank you for sharing your experience with us, it means a lot
the compositing is what im most excited about, it really makes it look "professional" i could watch a lot of compositing videos for animation becauae i dont see it offten whith Davinci. Compositing is kinda abstract and hard to understand to me but the results make it worth it
i was trying to learn how can use fusion to have more control on normal keyframming animation , stumbled upon your video, absolute mind blown ! thank you for making this
Very awesome. Still slightly over my head since I just started with Fusion-ing but seeing someone else put it all together and to have it explained like this was definitely eye opening. Thanks for taking the time to put all of this stuff together.
I'm not into cartoons/animations, and I'll probably never use any of these techniques, however this is absolutely brilliant and a great example of the power of this software! Nice. 🙂
Hey Nomad. Just a quick question. I tried using the custom tool like in this video and linking different parts up to it. My imported images work find and move together but I tried adding a paint node (for some stick arms) with a background and transform node. I linked the transform node to the custom tool but when I move it now. The paint drawing moves at a different speed to the other images. Was wondering if you had this issue or any fixes?
Dude! Totally amazed at what you are able to accomplish. Is there a way to export the fusion rigging controls so they are accessible in the "Edit" page?
I saw your previous video and I literally just 1 minute ago finished my rig after watching some other videos. I haven't finished this video yet but I'm guessing the dissolve function will be used for expressions and remove parts. I've just got transform nodes, merge nodes and a background node. I was about to make a macro and I saw this video.
so I just followed along to rig my 2d character. Ran into one sleight problem. when I move the arms they pass through the top of the legs . I can send you a snippet so you can see what I mean. is there somewhere I could contact you more directly ?
You seem amazingly talented. I am 80 years old wanting to make cartoons as a beginner. Just downloaded Davinci and see you have beginner VFX tutorials, but do not know where to access them. Please advise. PS Is the ‘Fusion’ you mention a different app?
Good tutorial, but I'll stay with after effects. Fusion seems overly complicated in terms of design. I feel like adobe keeps their designs simple and easier to grasp
Sure it's quicker because OpenToonz was designed for it. This is just a proof of concept. One that can be used in any node based composting software. I could see you doing this even in something like Natron if you wanted to.
Blin, i was working on a common tutorial... But it was too long and i didn't finish the edit ... I don't know how you edited this less than 30 min 😅... Great job!
In all the videos it talks about 'image sequence', are these not a normal image, do you have to create this in another program or is 'image sequence' just a name that you give to a series of photos. I speak Dutch and translations are sometimes very unclear

I love the dedication you put into this project and its details, I'm your biggest fan!

This is incredible! How do you not have more subscribers?
Thank you for this 🫡
Thanks!! This is really useful, there's not much content out there like this. Looking forward to using this on my next projects.
dude this is amazing stuff. One of the best DR tubers out there.
You helped me a lot today! Big thanks, and stay awesome!

That's Amazing dude, congrats for the video, loved it.

Commenting for the algorithm to push this video it helped me alot Thanks
I want you to make a full course on 2D animation in Davinci resolve!!!
Wow! This is really good
Clean tutorial.
Also - Krita is a good friend for free art programs. Served me well for years.
Medibang for me
Thanks for the tutorial, I'm going to try it out for myself
Thanks for the tutorial 🔥
Nice work. 🔥🔥🔥 I'll have to start using that custom control node for my presets.

this is an awesome thing about DR thanks for the tut, i am still waiting for the tut you said your gonna do about the lighting doe... 😅

👏👏👏
Amazing job, thank you!
Thank you so much for this amazing tutorial
Hello, thanks for the lesson, but can the control system be converted to Macros?
Really nice Vidéo ! Thanks for that ! A Masterclass to animate any things !!
And the Next video => keyboard shortcut for animate everything ^^ hahah Or Maybe a micro panel Customization ^^
Nicely done. 👍
thank you so much this was eye opening
Genius ❤
Better option to Gimp for drawing is Krita ... you could also do it as VECTORS instea dof Rasters using Inkscape or Affinity Designer.
Ive got clip studio but I hate the layers (for animation) so I'm definitely gonna try this
I was wondering whether the nodes way of doing things would be more intuitive than a layers-based system. You seem to have confirmed that.

Is their anything like the puppet tool of after effects in davinci would be so usefull and safe like hours of time
Love this
Wouldn't it be easier to then rig and animate in Blender Grease Pencil?
Ty for this ur always a saver for me
Good tutorial, but I'll stay with after effects. Fusion seems overly complicated in terms of design.

Thanks!
I'm just wondering if you used the free or paid one?
thank you so much
Thanks a lot for this, but isn't it quicker to do it in a software like opentoonz?

Be great to see plug-in for this workflow :)

How do you animate like storytime animators in divashi resolve
I don't think that there was anything there that is Studio-specific, so you're probably good to go with the free version.
@@geoffos42 Couldnt they have written their own pipeline addon
Great, I do animations like this too.
How much hard drive do you have to run this 😂
500gb would be enough
@@investfoxy 500gb of free space? That's too much imo
I do it on 1000gb

It's just a series of images... It's a video rendered as images
YEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEES
imagine if someone could create a tool for this.
Next step, spend a month animating frame by frame
........ guys what the .... why GIMP USE KRITA OR SOMWTHING LIKE OPENTOONZ
