Weight കാരണം.. പിന്നെ edge boxy ആയത് കൊണ്ട് ചെറിയ വീഴ്ചയിൽ തന്നെ cover ന്റെ കൂടെ ആണെങ്കിലും dent വരുന്നുണ്ട്.. the only component that degrades over time is the battery, you'd have to replace the battery in the 7 years time but everything else should work just fine, it's the companies that want you to believe that phones only last 2 to 3 years and they do everything to make it seem like planned obsolescence isn't a thing , they do this by slowing down the processor ,retract efficiency software , make the camera processing worse, they also make the battery as irreparable as possible (which the eu and other right to repair activists are pushing against and we've seen some positive changes and the 7 years software support is by far the biggest change) it's good for the environment, good for the customer (basically no downsides) idk why you're griping about the 7 years software support, you lose nothing if you don't care to keep it that long, the smartphone industry has matured and there won't be much significant hardware upgrades and for people who's gonna buy it second hand or in 3-4 years time (when the prices would have dropped and when it's actually worth buying), the phone would still have the latest software for another 3-4 years i agree it's "boring" and it's definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE but complaining about more software support??? you weren't as critical about the ai features being paywalled after 2025 (the era of subscription, which i think is going to be the next "planned obsolescence") you have a lot of good takes and you give really good purchasing decisions for consumers but one thing you should be more clear about is changes made by companies that is a W for all consumers, ie changes outside purchase decisions that impact the consumer (hope that makes sense)

I disagree with your view of Exynos and 7 years of update: Exynos: If one company makes a bad product in past years that doesn't mean that a company will always make a bad product. My old note 8 runs on Exynos that has a heating problem, battery drain issue other than that no lags whatsoever still it's working fine (will explain why in the next point). Your opinion is indirectly promoting monopoly business models. You can see all midrange phones with SD are a bit on the expensive side that's simply because SD chips are too expensive nowadays hence smartphones with SD are crazy expensive. I'm not saying now samsung solved all of the issues that may or may not be solved but instead degrading the brand you can say I'm not a person to comment on that. 7 years of update:- Since samsung has excellent support in their service centers and they have many service centers across kerala maybe all districts have at least one service centre. Previously i mentioned note 8 still running fine without any major lags for normal usage just feels like a flagship killer kind of experience (not performance). I just installed Official build lineage OS with Android 13 on that that's why it's handling all apps without any fail. I am facing some issues just because Exynos doesn't fully support custom roms and I am also missing some of the Samsung exclusive apps. But think if samsung gives updates till now i can use the phone till today with all the benefits that come with Samsung. You said the phone has an expiration date but we can change exploding items like batteries from the authorised service centre. And bro there are some people who really think about controlling e-waste and also there are some people who don't change phones very frequently instead they can repair and use unless the phone doesn't support any apps they need. And one more point this move can drastically increase resale value for the phone(not sure about pixels because of lacking service centers). And you said about the green line issue right?. Even though samsung is not give any warranty for the phone with greenline comes after update, but there are ways to get warranty and i know my friend who got free screen replacement after 2years. 1)visit samsung website and navigate to the section where you can see an option to send message directly to CEO. 2) You can send your issue to them. 3) Within 2-3 days they will send back an email asking for jobsheet. You can get that from Samsung authorised service centers. 4) If the phone doesn't get damaged by your hand or it has no dents or cracks you get a free screen replacement from there. I simply shortened the steps , If you really need to know you can check with the community forum. Or even you can send follow up mails to the samsung officials they will guide.I just mentioned that there is an option to get free display replacement for the phone affected by the green line. Anyways as a responsible viewer i need to address my disagreement hope you don't take it personally ❤

My opinion: Bought the phone only for the flat screen, and of course the SoC. Titanium body, AI, and everything else is just a bonus. Been using the phone for 3 days, and I haven't faced a single issue yet. Wasn't the case with the S21 Ultra. Totally satisfied. Edit: I tried Vivo x100 Pro. I actually loved Samsung better, especially for video recording. Also, people do watch your videos, even those who wanna take these phones. But not everyone updates their phone every year. So for someone like me coming from S21 Ultra from 2021, this upgrade was worth every penny. PS: 7 year guaranteed updates is just a way to stay competitive. No one's actually gonna use it for that long, just like iPhones.

Shaz, I did not feel that your opinion were accurate. I am using the phone for few days now and I do feel the difference between the oneplus I used to use before this. The AI features do help me with my work and I felt this phone is more reliable... Photos are good if you know how to use it, it is not saturated as the photos seen on x100 pro. Videos are brilliant since we can switch lenses now in 4k60. This phone certainly looks way premium than any other phone barring iphones... 8 Gen 3 chipset is simply brilliant in this phone. Only point I agree with you Shaz is I do miss the 1 inch sensor in this phone. Would have been the cherry on top.

My initial findings....S24U Display is superb for outdoor viewing, esp under sun,....but didnt like the display colour calibration... The mic quality is vastly improved... Wifi 7 compatibility... they also did something with Microsoft, all MS apps are super snappy now... Den things u get only with samsung like Dex, improved quick share, multi device control,..etc. (but mostly software features)...no need to update from s23u

Shazamji, I have been using Xioami 13 Pro for the past 11 months. Amazing experience till now. No heating issues. I am believing that Leica will be at the next level for the 14 series. I got many fans for my intimate photographs in 13 pro. Also, my cousin taught me SLR grading as well as how to choose the portrait mm s in this phone. Now I am desperately waiting to buy 14 ultra...Have heard that its coming with 4 50 MP camera with the amazing Leica engineering. I am from Bangalore. I tried the one plus 12 as well as samsung 24 ultra. To be honest, I didn't get a good feel from both. My friend is using Samsung S23. Its a super cool phone for 60k. But as u say, Samsung could have brought the 1 inch sensor at least now. 24 is a disappointment. However, I am loving Leica engineering with Xioami's top end feature assembly. One thing that bothers me is the payment wallet only. But the concern doesn't matter at all when u have the fans covering you for your photographs. The interesting thing is that they even own an iPhone 15 Pro too 😂. Xioami 13 pro has given me a flagship maza all this year around. Thanks to you and thanks to my cousin too.

I had ordered thes24 ultra 1 TB edition but after the delays in meeting the delivery dates , I cancelled the order and got a full refund. I use the old note 20 ultra and need to upgrade, so will be going with the s23 ultra
I am a 23 ultra user, when i looked at the 24u theres nothing i saw an upgrade. Very pathetic update of samsung. The 200 mp sensor must needed an upgrade. Im not gonna buy that. The display seems like a downgrade

Hats off to you for spitting truths like this. The ultra and pro max phones are barely giving some marginal improvement over the upper mid range phones. Once you go above 50k, there is no linear improvement in features or quality. Most of the hyped features would be gimmicks or barely used by people at the end of the day.
It's not showoff and gimmick. If u use this any of this ultra series phone for few months then you will come to know the difference in quality between 50k phones likes OnePlus and this. These are far far better overall

Screen guard nallathu nokki vaangiyillel anti reflective screen will turn into a full reflective screen. Still exploring AI, s pen features kidu anna.. 😋

ഞാൻ 85000 നാണ് 9 മാസം മുന്നേ s23 ultra എടുത്തത് ഒമാനിൽ നിന്ന്.. എനിക്ക് ഞാൻ ഇതുവരെ ഉപയോഗിച്ച ഫോണുകളിൽ നിന്നും നല്ലൊരു ചേഞ്ച് ഫീൽ ചെയ്തു.. നല്ല ഡിസ്പ്ലേ.. നല്ല പെർഫോമൻസ് ഒക്കെ.. പിന്നെ ഒരു artist ആയത് കൊണ്ട് തന്നെ ഡിജിറ്റൽ drawingum എഡിറ്റിംഗ് purpus നും എനിക്ക് spen നല്ല useful ആണ്... പിന്നെ ഇതിലെ ഫോട്ടോസും നല്ല മികച്ചതാണ്..ഒരു പ്രശ്നം തോന്നിയത് film കാണുമ്പോഴും game കളിക്കുമ്പോഴും അധികനേരം കയ്യിൽ പിടിച്ച് നിക്കാൻ ബുദ്ധിമുട്ടായി തോന്നി.. Weight കാരണം.. പിന്നെ edge boxy ആയത് കൊണ്ട് ചെറിയ വീഴ്ചയിൽ തന്നെ cover ന്റെ കൂടെ ആണെങ്കിലും dent വരുന്നുണ്ട്.. Curve ആയിരുന്നാൽ നന്നായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നി... ബാക്കി എല്ലാം കൊണ്ടും വളരെ ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടു.. ഒരുപാട് നാൾ കാത്തിരുന്നു ഒത്തിരി റിവ്യൂ ഒക്കെ കേട്ട് കഴിഞ്ഞാണ് ഞാൻ ഇത് വാങ്ങിയത്... അതുകൊണ്ട് തന്നെ മേടിച്ച ശേഷം ഇതുവരെ വേണ്ടായിരുന്നു എന്ന് തോന്നിയിട്ടില്ല... 🥰🥰🥰🥰

the only component that degrades over time is the battery, you'd have to replace the battery in the 7 years time but everything else should work just fine, it's the companies that want you to believe that phones only last 2 to 3 years and they do everything to make it seem like planned obsolescence isn't a thing , they do this by slowing down the processor ,retract efficiency software , make the camera processing worse, they also make the battery as irreparable as possible (which the eu and other right to repair activists are pushing against and we've seen some positive changes and the 7 years software support is by far the biggest change) it's good for the environment, good for the customer (basically no downsides)
idk why you're griping about the 7 years software support, you lose nothing if you don't care to keep it that long, the smartphone industry has matured and there won't be much significant hardware upgrades and for people who's gonna buy it second hand or in 3-4 years time (when the prices would have dropped and when it's actually worth buying), the phone would still have the latest software for another 3-4 years
i agree it's "boring" and it's definitely NOT WORTH THE PRICE but complaining about more software support??? you weren't as critical about the ai features being paywalled after 2025 (the era of subscription, which i think is going to be the next "planned obsolescence")
you have a lot of good takes and you give really good purchasing decisions for consumers but one thing you should be more clear about is changes made by companies that is a W for all consumers, ie changes outside purchase decisions that impact the consumer (hope that makes sense)

I disagree with your view of Exynos and 7 years of update:
Exynos: If one company makes a bad product in past years that doesn't mean that a company will always make a bad product. My old note 8 runs on Exynos that has a heating problem, battery drain issue other than that no lags whatsoever still it's working fine (will explain why in the next point). Your opinion is indirectly promoting monopoly business models. You can see all midrange phones with SD are a bit on the expensive side that's simply because SD chips are too expensive nowadays hence smartphones with SD are crazy expensive. I'm not saying now samsung solved all of the issues that may or may not be solved but instead degrading the brand you can say I'm not a person to comment on that.
7 years of update:-
Since samsung has excellent support in their service centers and they have many service centers across kerala maybe all districts have at least one service centre. Previously i mentioned note 8 still running fine without any major lags for normal usage just feels like a flagship killer kind of experience (not performance). I just installed Official build lineage OS with Android 13 on that that's why it's handling all apps without any fail. I am facing some issues just because Exynos doesn't fully support custom roms and I am also missing some of the Samsung exclusive apps. But think if samsung gives updates till now i can use the phone till today with all the benefits that come with Samsung. You said the phone has an expiration date but we can change exploding items like batteries from the authorised service centre. And bro there are some people who really think about controlling e-waste and also there are some people who don't change phones very frequently instead they can repair and use unless the phone doesn't support any apps they need. And one more point this move can drastically increase resale value for the phone(not sure about pixels because of lacking service centers). And you said about the green line issue right?. Even though samsung is not give any warranty for the phone with greenline comes after update, but there are ways to get warranty and i know my friend who got free screen replacement after 2years.
1)visit samsung website and navigate to the section where you can see an option to send message directly to CEO.
2) You can send your issue to them.
3) Within 2-3 days they will send back an email asking for jobsheet. You can get that from Samsung authorised service centers.
4) If the phone doesn't get damaged by your hand or it has no dents or cracks you get a free screen replacement from there.
I simply shortened the steps , If you really need to know you can check with the community forum. Or even you can send follow up mails to the samsung officials they will guide.I just mentioned that there is an option to get free display replacement for the phone affected by the green line.

My opinion: Bought the phone only for the flat screen, and of course the SoC. Titanium body, AI, and everything else is just a bonus. Been using the phone for 3 days, and I haven't faced a single issue yet. Wasn't the case with the S21 Ultra. Totally satisfied.
Edit: I tried Vivo x100 Pro. I actually loved Samsung better, especially for video recording. Also, people do watch your videos, even those who wanna take these phones. But not everyone updates their phone every year. So for someone like me coming from S21 Ultra from 2021, this upgrade was worth every penny.
PS: 7 year guaranteed updates is just a way to stay competitive. No one's actually gonna use it for that long, just like iPhones.

Shaz, I did not feel that your opinion were accurate. I am using the phone for few days now and I do feel the difference between the oneplus I used to use before this. The AI features do help me with my work and I felt this phone is more reliable... Photos are good if you know how to use it, it is not saturated as the photos seen on x100 pro. Videos are brilliant since we can switch lenses now in 4k60. This phone certainly looks way premium than any other phone barring iphones... 8 Gen 3 chipset is simply brilliant in this phone. Only point I agree with you Shaz is I do miss the 1 inch sensor in this phone. Would have been the cherry on top.

Shazamji, I have been using Xioami 13 Pro for the past 11 months. Amazing experience till now. No heating issues. I am believing that Leica will be at the next level for the 14 series. I got many fans for my intimate photographs in 13 pro. Also, my cousin taught me SLR grading as well as how to choose the portrait mm s in this phone. Now I am desperately waiting to buy 14 ultra...Have heard that its coming with 4 50 MP camera with the amazing Leica engineering. I am from Bangalore. I tried the one plus 12 as well as samsung 24 ultra. To be honest, I didn't get a good feel from both. My friend is using Samsung S23. Its a super cool phone for 60k. But as u say, Samsung could have brought the 1 inch sensor at least now. 24 is a disappointment. However, I am loving Leica engineering with Xioami's top end feature assembly. One thing that bothers me is the payment wallet only. But the concern doesn't matter at all when u have the fans covering you for your photographs. The interesting thing is that they even own an iPhone 15 Pro too 😂. Xioami 13 pro has given me a flagship maza all this year around. Thanks to you and thanks to my cousin too.

I just bought it. Got the 1 tb. Got 30% discount. 800$ less than the retail discounted price. Love the Dex, camera, storage, S pen. I always use S pen. Its definitely not for an everyday person. Im an everyday person and I find it very useful so far.

Moving from S10 to S24 ultra is a huge jump and i am pretty sure you might feel major updates but moving from s22 or s23 to s24 ultra we just dont feel any changes

I had ordered thes24 ultra 1 TB edition but after the delays in meeting the delivery dates , I cancelled the order and got a full refund. I use the old note 20 ultra and need to upgrade, so will be going with the s23 ultra

Hats off to you for spitting truths like this. The ultra and pro max phones are barely giving some marginal improvement over the upper mid range phones. Once you go above 50k, there is no linear improvement in features or quality. Most of the hyped features would be gimmicks or barely used by people at the end of the day.
It's not showoff and gimmick. If u use this any of this ultra series phone for few months then you will come to know the difference in quality between 50k phones likes OnePlus and this. These are far far better overall
