One of the most essential elements on any homestead is water. Knowing that you have good water. & strong flow from your well is very assuring. Amazing things taking place on Country Roots Farm!
WOOOH-HOOH🎉🙌, that's so wonderful & I'm cheering along w/ Y'all! Isn't it so exciting to know that the Lord DOES answer our prayers & to see just how much that He's involved in every aspect of our lives? As someone who's had the exact same experiance, prayer & all, I know exactly how much apprehension, excitement, joy, etc., come w/ these important & potentially expensive but necessary projects. Btw, the last well we had drilled was exactly 220 ft. & cost us $7,500.00 back in '98. It would NOW cost $15,000.00-$20,000.00 in my area here in the S.W. for the same thing. Keep up the great work, guys as you continue to invest much love, blood, sweat & tears into your dream. It's THOSE 'investments' that will continue to pay you in dividends for the rest of your lives! Take care & the Lord continue to Bless Y'all. 👏👍
Thank you so much for your encouraging words! It is truly amazing to see God’s plan for us coming together ❤️ I’m so thankful the well is done! It would be awful for a well to cost $20,000!
I live on the eastern side of the San Joaquin valley in California Just at the foothills. Had a 50 ft 100 year old well. It went dry about 8 years ago. We went 3 years without water hoping it would come back. Finally my late husband convinced me to drill. We also went 220 ft, set the pump at 200. The drillers said we hit an underground river. My husband & his friends did all the work except drilling which saved us a lot but still cost over $7,000. God surely blessed you ♡
Congratulations, you guys are doing awesome. It’s great to see a young couple making things happen and not relying on the government or anyone else!!!! Keep it up!
Something to consider depending on what yall are planning to do with the property. Wells can dry up resulting in very costly work drilling a new hole. We decided on a fresh water holding system from the well. We bought 3 large 5000 gallon thick plastic storage tanks and buried them in the ground about 90% of the way. We then poured a cement slab around it and built a shed which the roof is used for well system solar panels. The storage tanks are dual fed upper/lower so you can pull from 1 tank and the use will balance between all 3. The well system is powered by solar and runs through a filtration system to a 100 gallon filtered tank which sends an alert if water is bad and sounds an alarm if the water pressure is low to no flow. This entire setup is for drinkable water only. We have another 10k gallon setup for rainwater collection that can be used for yard or flushing toilets etc. I started all of this a few years ago and with all this rain coming fast and hard its been keeping the rainwater tanks at a decent level. Besides having a few sheds on the property you really can't see much here..lol
Wow!! That’s impressive!! We are definitely considering water storage and want to collect rainwater on the other side of the property so we have multiple water sources too! 💦
That’s awesome!! Happy for y’all! I’m a Pipeliner, going to be giving up my career and move home and raise my son. I plan to do essentially the same as y’all are doing. Please keep the videos coming!
Yes!! We sold so much stuff to make these steps happen! Our goal is to have the land set up and ready for a camper so when we sell our home, we have a place to go
@@CountryRootsFarm that's great! sounds like a solid plan. I'm just hoping the wife will say that's it I've had enough time to live in the camper...lol
I just joined your channel after warching your last 10 videos. You're such a pleasure to watch as you narrate your videos with your highly spirited personality. And, of course watching you guys start your new homestead which I know will be a great success.
So happy to hear the excitement and happiness in your voice. Congrats on the new well and awesome flow. Looking forward to seeing ya'll develop your homestead!
It seems to me as you were talking, you are a Born again Believer. If so, you are a Child of God and God takes very good care of His People. I praise God because you have been Blessed greatly, a good price for the shed, electricity right there and now more water than your neighbors? It is God's doing. Praise Him for All of His goodness towards you.
Im so glad you see it too! I absolutely cannot believe what God has blessing us with so far! This was a hard year for other reasons, but God is showing me that in his timing things will happen. So I will cherish each gift we are given because we definitely don’t deserve it.
Super excited to watch ya'll build your home! My husband and I will be building a cabin soon or what you're doing. We haven't decided on the best idea yet. (:

Have you guys looked into those giant water barrels for gardening water supply? I saw a family of Texas homesteaders do this shed to home and they put up gutters and connected them to their barrels to run the rain water in them to have for drought seasons. It was pretty awesome.
I have seen that! One day when we have a barn out in a pasture, I think that would be a perfect set up for water around the homestead! Is the family in Texas Life Uncontained? Because, they are an inspiration!

Love y’all’s videos ! We’re looking at doing this in North Carolina , what permits and stuff from the county did you have to get and how much has this costed up to this point or at least to get it all started ? Any info would be great we really want to do this too!!!!
Hey! Glad you’re enjoying them! We had to get a permit for the building and a permit for the power so far. I believe it was around $100. We also had the land perked for septic before having the building delivered so we knew we could get a septic system for its location. The cost will depend on if you’re including the land, clearing the land, the driveway, the gravel foundation, the actual shed, the well, and the power pole. We try to do as much as we can ourselves to lower the cost and learn along the way! If you’re looking for land, see if AgSouth does land loans for your area! They are great to work with!
