This was one of the first indie bands I discovered. I was 12 years old and at that really awkward phase of pre-teenagehood, but bands like this one and TOPS made it a lot more bearable and helped me shape my personality. Now i'm 17 and about to graduate, and I can say that i'm happy with who I turned out to be. Time really does fly.
People criticize this era's music generation, but bands like this (and there are plenty of them that are this solid) make me feel like this is the time music is at its best. There is some sort of combination of the past 5 decades mingled into groups like Alvvays, Tobias Jesso Jr., DIIV, even Perfect Pussy for that matter. Unlike the film industry which is running out of ideas, music is thriving harder than ever. The common folk just hasn't found it yet.
Never heard of this band until 3 days ago when they opened for The Decemberists at The Ryman in Nashville....... Now I can't get their sound out of my head. Especially this one and Adult Diversion....... Great band, sky's the limit! Good luck guys!
These videos are so much better than what we had back in the day on MTV, and the feeling this band and others gives me same feeling I had early 80s when all the New-Wave stuff was coming out.
my favorite band....I can't stop listening to them....I dream about them.....I'm a 53 year old musician who has worshipped the JAM my whole life. Molly has woken me up. This girl has more talent in her pinky than all who appear to be real. This band is a gift....a good toke....a friend's pat......Alvvvays has reminded me that rock n' roll can never die.
This video makes you feel closer to the band, and I love that, they feel so natural. I think this is more of a "Document" about the band, than a "Music Video", I'll keep this as a very personal recording, I'm just loving them.
Brings back many memories of younger days. To me, it specifically reminds me of the year i was transitioning from a teenager to a young adult (2014). Hanging around with lots of "friends" and a hella lot of strangers. Getting drunk and high af... All those parties, all those nights, all those hangovers... I had a pretty good time tbh. Nowadays, I don't drink anymore, and I rarely go outside or hang around. But when I do it's usually with 2 or 3 people, inside somebody's house.

This band rocks. I’m trying to figure out if it’s unfortunate or fortunate that it has taken me so long to find them. At least now there are years worth of songs to go through. Let’s gooo
I love this band's videos. I've always loved it when music videos just showed bands playing in exceptionally cool ways, like at some big, raucous party ("DJ DJ", "Duality") or otherwise cool places ("Amsterdam"), or even just photographed in a flattering way like the shots on stage here (I love the candid image of the singer turning to the band at the end; really shows, in a brief moment, the key ingredient of playing music together: listening. You can't produce that in a bedroom!) or standing in a circle like in "In Undertow." Images of the band not just playing the song but complimenting it!
It reminds me of early REM also. In the early 80s I was a student at Georgia Tech and REM was from down the road at Athens Georgia. I cranked up that Archie song within 10 seconds of hearing it the first time.
I'm just realizing, this music videos is shot in Sackville Newbrunswick, during Sappy Fest, perfect song for a university town, can't believe I've walked that very street this video was taken many times, well listening to this song, this song feels even more close to home!

This song takes me back to one of my boyfriend and I’s first dates, probably because I listened to it a couple of times that day and it fit my mood perfectly.
