An aethiest just does not believe in the existence of God or gods. However, they can still follow the path of Scientology, which is technically considered a religion. So, you're wrong. Agnostic is having no religion. It believes in science and theories. This is what you're refering to.
Not to mention, you explain that science tries to explain why things are the way they are. Religion is the same thing, back in the day where science was no where NEAR advanced as it now. Well then, hm, I guess people would take in the idea of religion easier, seeing how that's the ONLY thing to relate when it came to the knowledge of their existance. Don't forget, there are other religions out there, one could have not existed without the other.
Actually, evolution is a theory. Theory, in terms of science, is a conclusion derived from an hypothetis. Therefore, there must be facts present in order to call it "theory". This might be the reason people find evolution to have more credibility. Although we do not see evolution happen before our eyes, that's now how we come to the conclusion it happens. You need faith in it, but there is more credibility than religion. Science is not simply a "way of thinking".

I'm a hardened athiest. 1st Skillet song I heard was whispers in the dark & I nearly cried. You could listen to Skillet songs and think 'Find the Christian meaning' & you'd find it. You could think 'Find the Muslim value'or'Find the meaning of life' & you'd find it. It's ambiguous. Noone is right, noone is wrong. Sometimes a work of art is bigger than the artist-Jack might have thought 2 profess his love for God and it got 2 big and became the desire of all people for whatever they truly desire.
Catholic's are different, they believe in teh same God, Jesus, etc, though they are different in some key aspects, they don't believe in being Spiritually born again, they believe the pope is Gods representative on Earth, some things like that apparently (haven't looked much into their belief on Faith, born again, etc so may be wrong) also Christian = Christ in us, and their a sub-branch.
I can't speak for other Christians, but I think I react to music pretty much the same as others. There are a lot of songs out there with great words that I might like the message of, but if I don't like the music I'll consider the message a move on ("great but not my thing"). Same if you switch it. I won't usually keep listening to great sounding music if the words keep bugging me. Combine good music and choice words (ie. Skillet) and I'll eat it up.
Well, for someone who's spent 15 years in the Church, you don't know much about Christ. Christianity is not intended to stay in the church. I agree we can't force it on others, but Christ's greatest command to the Disciples was to go forth and make more Disciples. He tells us to go out and tell people about God, He doesn't tell us to sit around in a big building and wait for people to come in out of curiosity.
Well, lemme ask you something else. Have you been living like a Christian? Have you kept your eyes clean, your lips pure, and put to death your worldly desires? I have for the most part. The only thing I really want is a girl in my life and God. Everything else doesn't matter (well, family does, ofcourse). Saw them in concert some time ago and only Paramore has impressed me as much as Skillet has in live concert. Love them. Love their music. Skillet is the greatest, along with Paramore!

And yeah, once upon a time I did think there might not be a God, and I prayed and prayed that He would prove me wrong, and He did.

Atheism is the belief that there isn't a God. This does not mean that you don't have a religion. An aethiest just does not believe in the existence of God or gods. However, they can still follow the path of Scientology, which is technically considered a religion.

Agnostic is having no religion. It believes in science and theories. This is what you're refering to.
Not to mention, you explain that science tries to explain why things are the way they are. Religion is the same thing, back in the day where science was no where NEAR advanced as it now. Well then, hm, I guess people would take in the idea of religion easier, seeing how that's the ONLY thing to relate when it came to the knowledge of their existance. Don't forget, there are other religions out there, one could have not existed without the other.
Actually, evolution is a theory. Theory, in terms of science, is a conclusion derived from an hypothetis. Therefore, there must be facts present in order to call it "theory". This might be the reason people find evolution to have more credibility. Although we do not see evolution happen before our eyes, that's now how we come to the conclusion it happens. You need faith in it, but there is more credibility than religion. Science is not simply a "way of thinking".

I'm a hardened athiest. 1st Skillet song I heard was whispers in the dark & I nearly cried. You could listen to Skillet songs and think 'Find the Christian meaning' & you'd find it. You could think 'Find the Muslim value'or'Find the meaning of life' & you'd find it. It's ambiguous. Noone is right, noone is wrong. Sometimes a work of art is bigger than the artist-Jack might have thought 2 profess his love for God and it got 2 big and became the desire of all people for whatever they truly desire.
Catholic's are different, they believe in teh same God, Jesus, etc, though they are different in some key aspects, they don't believe in being Spiritually born again, they believe the pope is Gods representative on Earth, some things like that apparently (haven't looked much into their belief on Faith, born again, etc so may be wrong) also Christian = Christ in us, and their a sub-branch.
I can't speak for other Christians, but I think I react to music pretty much the same as others. There are a lot of songs out there with great words that I might like the message of, but if I don't like the music I'll consider the message a move on ("great but not my thing"). Same if you switch it. I won't usually keep listening to great sounding music if the words keep bugging me. Combine good music and choice words (ie. Skillet) and I'll eat it up.
Well, for someone who's spent 15 years in the Church, you don't know much about Christ. Christianity is not intended to stay in the church. I agree we can't force it on others, but Christ's greatest command to the Disciples was to go forth and make more Disciples. He tells us to go out and tell people about God, He doesn't tell us to sit around in a big building and wait for people to come in out of curiosity.
Well, lemme ask you something else. Have you been living like a Christian? Have you kept your eyes clean, your lips pure, and put to death your worldly desires? I have for the most part. The only thing I really want is a girl in my life and God. Everything else doesn't matter (well, family does, ofcourse). If you can honestly say you're living by the Bible and can see the fruits of the spirit in your life, then you should be very, very happy, because you're a TRUE Christian :D
That doesn't mean anything. You're not a Christian, hate to break it to ya. Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? If you have, then I take back that comment. But you're not if you say you just read the bible and go to church every sunday. Those are works. God doesn't let people into heaven who try to get there through works. You have to accept Jesus into your heart. That's the ONLY way into heaven.

NO!! Don't use Limewire! By using Limewire we force these artists to live a life of semi-luxury! They may now only get to own 1 private jet instead of the usual 2! And if we download their songs, how are they to buy the solid gold flamingo-statue they wanted since last week?! So people don't go around ruining peoples lives, use I-tunes or better yet, buy the CDs. I'm sure you'll all get a personal "thank you" from the artists themselves.
just because you dont read the bible doesnt mean your going to hell or your not a christian. the bible states that in order to be saved all you have to do is accept jesus christ as your savior. it doesnt say that your condemned for not reading the bible or not applying the things the bible wants in your life. this is the flaw of christianity, in my opinion,where people stereotype other christians for not doing something like reading the bible

Why must we think this is our world...That we can do whatever we want, because we make the rules...God created this universe...HE makes the rules, not us. We have NO right to decide what is right or wrong...but yaknow...everything that He says is right...is beneficial...anything that He declares as breaking His rules...harms us...It's not just a question of right or wrong, but a fact of living our lives healthily and happily.

I don't believe in God one bit. Religion (in my opinion) is a joke created to help wage wars. HOWEVER, SKILLET IS ONE OF THE BEST BANDS EVER! Saw them in concert some time ago and only Paramore has impressed me as much as Skillet has in live concert. Love them. Love their music. Skillet is the greatest, along with Paramore!
You misunderstand me. If they never believe in God and experience his full power and love in their lives, they can never know. It's not the sort of thing there's a 'taster session' for, if that makes sense. And yeah, once upon a time I did think there might not be a God, and I prayed and prayed that He would prove me wrong, and He did.
Well, if it really bothers you so much then just don't listen to them.
I'm agnostic, but that doesn't stop me from listening from songs that have a solid beat. I give kudos to people who can make something that sounds good. But hey, if you need to make an extreme example to prove your point, that's your busy. I'ma just go back to listening to this song.
